Abstract

Background: Preoperative patients can be experience an anxiety. Anxiety can be expressed through physiological changes that will be known by a change in the sympathetic response which some of them are increased in heart rate and blood pressure. Preliminary study results shows 4 of 6 patients got an increase in anxiety with signs of increased in blood pressure and pulse. Hypno relaxation is a complementary therapy for anxiety, while in the hypnotic state, most people will be experience relaxation, decrease blood pressure, and pulse. Objective: Determine the influence of hypno relaxation to the blood pressure and pulse in patients with preoperative fracture in RSUD Bantul. Methods: This study is a quassy experiment with design of the study is pre-test and post-test non equivalent control group. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques amounted to 24 respondents. 12 people was on control group and 12 was on intervention group. Research instrument which used was a record of hypno relaxation stages, the mercury sphygmomanometer and stethoscope. The results were analyzed using Independent Samples t-test and Paired Samples t-test. Results: The results of the equal measurement in blood pressure and pulse in the pre and post test control group are 1.17 x / min and 0.5 mmHg, which showed an increase. Whereas in the intervention group difference in equal blood pressure and pulse are 7.00 mmHg and 6.25 x / min, which showed a decrease. Statistic result using independent t-test got (p) value 0.000 <0.05 with t -7,257 for blood pressure and t -8,888 for pulse, and can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the mean value of pulse and blood pressure between the control group and intervention group of hypno relaxation. On the statistic test using Paired t-test got (p) value 0.000 <0.05 in the intervention group, it means that hypno relaxation can be influence the pulse and blood pressure significantly. Conclusion: Hypno relaxation have an effects on blood pressure and pulse on the preoperative patient's with fracture in RSUD Bantul. Abstract

Background:Preschool children personal social development will continuously changes, systemic, andprogressive that is a reflection of relating behaviour to the ability of independent, socialize, and interactwith social environment in children aged 1?6 years (preschool) where the child lived. Parents have amain role for preschool-aged children in development  process, but in fact not all children can stay withtheir parents, because things various. Children's workhouses which has the task of providing guidanceand services for fatherless, strays, orphaned and abandoned underprivileged. Children that living inorphanages are get less appropriate likely attention required, children in orphanages have physical andmental problems, including social problems. Objective:To know the difference of preschool children personal social development have living theirparents together with living in an orphanage. Method:This is descriptive analytical research, with observational research methods, which use aquantitative cross sectional approach, research instrument using Denver Development Screening Test IIwith normal, suspect, and untestable interpretation. The sample in this research is overall of populationwhich totaled 39 childrens living parent together and 19 chidrens living in an orphanage . The test used anon parametric Mann-Whitney test to check the difference meaning, with a level significance of p<0,05. Result:There is difference of preschool children personal social development have living their parentstogether with living in an orphanage. with p value 0,018 (p<0.05). Normal category children living parentstogether 89,7%, suspect 7,7%, and untestable 2,6%. While normal category children living in orphanages63,1%, suspect 31.6%, and untestable 5,3%. Conclusion:There is difference of preschool children personal social development have living theirparents together with living in an orphanage. Abstract

Background : Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended based on the evidence of the benefits and proper nutrients for the baby. Phototherapy is done for the treatment of hyperbilirubinemia in infants with several side effects such as: increased temperature, increased insensible water loss, and a separate room will increase a risk fordisanting exclusive breastfeeding. Objective : This study aimed for identifying the correlation between phototherapy and continuity of exclusive breastfeeding at Perinatology room of Wates Hospital Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2012. Method : This was a prospective cohort study that was conducted from 1st December until 31 December 2012. Sixty eight hospitalized babies at a neonatology ward were involved in this study. Using a purposive sampling method, 34 babies receiving photothetapy were assigned into the treatment group and 34 babies were assigned into control group. The breastfeeding continuity was measured using a valid and reliable observational checklist which was constructed by the researcher. Result : There was no correlation between phototherapy with continuation of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.27) Conclusion and suggestion : Phototherapy treatment did not interrupt continuityof breastfeeding. Based on this study, we strongly recommend that during the phototherapy treatment affecting on separation between mothers and baby, the breastfeeding continuity needs to be concerned. Abstract

Background :  The increasing of  life expectancy is  one of  indicators  of  the successful development. It is showed by increasing the number of elderly and it make the change of physical, psychosocial and cognitive function. The decrease of cognitive function depends on age, education, marital status, physical activities, health history of stroke attack and brain stimulation. The lack of brain stimulation causes the decrease of cognitive ability. Objective : This study aimed to identify the correlation between  brain  stimulation  and  elderly  cognitive ability at Dusun Karangasem Gilangharjo Pandak Bantul Provinsi Daerah Istimewa  Yogyakarta on 2012. Method : The study used cross sectional design. The sample of this research was taken by total sampling method. There were 50 elderly aged 60 ? 69 years old at Dusun Karangasem Gilangharjo Pandak Bantul on 2012. The researcher used univariate and bivariate analysis with Kendall?s tau to analyse the data. Result : It was found that 88% elderly people with high brain stimulation, 8% with moderate brain stimulation, and 4% with a low brain stimulation. The research used MMSE to assess the cognitive ability. It showed 86% elderly people with a normal cognitive ability, 8% with a mild cognitive ability disorder and 6% with severe cognitive ability disorder. The result of  Kendall?s  tau  test  showed  that  the correlation between brain stimulation  and  elderly  cognitive  ability  was  0,000  (p<0,05). Correlation coefficient was 0,915 and that showed significant of correlation. Conclusion and suggestion : There  was  correlation  between  brain  stimulation  and  elderly cognitive ability. The study suggested that elderly people must do brain stimulation to increase their cognitive ability. Keywords : Brain stimulation, elderly cognitive ability

Abstract

Background: : a preliminary study based on inpatient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia Yogyakarta result that 50% of nurses are less open to patients so that less established mutual trust so that the patient seemed closed and silent when asked to communicate and difficult to work with. Good therapeutic communication skills would be possessed by the mental health nurse and the main factors that influence the therapeutic nurse communication skills are personal qualities. Personal qualities are characteristics that must be possessed by a nurse to be able to be therapeutic. Personal qualities include six components: self awareness, values clarification, exploration of feelings, role model, altruism, and ethics and responsibility Research Objectives: This research was conducted in order to determine the quality of personal relationships with communication skills in a therapeutic nurse-patient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia. Methods: a descriptive research with cross sectional correlation. The total sample in this study using a total of 37 people with cluster sampling technique to nurses who work in the maintenance room space Sahadev, Arimbi, Nakula, Shinta and Heroine. Research instruments were questionnaires and observation sheets results were analyzed with Kendall Tau. Results: personal quality nurses in inpatient psychiatric hospitals Ghrasia Yogyakarta is higher by 18 people (48.6%). Communication skills in a therapeutic nurse-patient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia Yoyakarta is good up to 20 people (54.1%). Kendall Tau correlation test results obtained values p (0,038) <0.05. Conslusion: there is a personal relationship with the quality of communication skills in a therapeutic nurse patient psychiatric hospital Ghrasia Yogyakarta. Abstract

Background: The role of nurse in guiding, directing and managing the child is required to establish an independent children's personalities. Child's independence is marked by the ability to perform simple daily activities. Independence is not  a  skill  that  appears  suddenly,  but  need  to  be  taught  to children. The role of nurse is intended to foster the ability of the child's independence from  an  early  age, so it will be able to grow and develop optimally. Objectives: To know the relevance of the role of carer to preschooler?s independence in Aisyiyah Perumnas Condongcatur Yogyakarta Playgroup. Methods:  The  method  used  was  descriptive  correlation  with  the   cross-sectional approach. Samples were obtained by the total sampling  technique  and  hypothesis  test was done by Kendall?s Tau test to know the relevance of the role of carer to preschooler?s independence at Aisyiyah Perumnas Condongcatur Yogyakarta Playgroup in 2012. Results: (1) The role of carer in fostering independence preschoolers mainly categorized good as many as 50 people (96.2%), (2) preschooler?s independence according to their parents mainly categorized medium as many as 26 children ( 50%), (3) The result of Kendall Tau test obtained coefficient Kendall Tau as much as 0.455 with a significance of 0.000 (sig <0.05). Therefore, there was the relevance of the role of carer to preschooler?s independence in Aisyiyah Perumnas Condongcatur Yogyakarta Playgroup. Conclusion: There is the relevance of the role of carer to preschooler?s independence in Aisyiyah Perumnas Condongcatur Yogyakarta Playgroup. This study recommends that the carers (parents and teachers) can be carers and friends of children with affection, attention and understanding the needs, desires and character of foster children. Abstract

Background: Many deaths due to diarrheal dehydration. While the primary treatment of diarrhea itself is overcome the dehydration. Rehydration therapy is highly effective for reducing mortality due to diarrheal dehydration. One factors that may affect the status of the child's diarrhea is rehidration of the parents in the treatment of oral hydration. There are 4 old men in rehydration in children with diarrhea is to provide  a liquid, but with the amount, frequency and type of fluid that is not in accordance with the fluids the body needs. Research Objectives: To determine the relationship behavior parents in handling with oral hydration with events dehydration in children with diarrhea in RSUD Saras Husada Purworejo. Research Methods: This research uses method descriptive analytical using design cross sectional. Engineering samples are used by non-probability sampling using technique Accidental Sampling. Data collection by questionnaire. The number of samples is 24 parents of children with diarrhea. Analysis of test data used was the Kendall Tau. Results: The behavior of parents in the treatment of oral hydration of children suffering from diarrhea for lack of a majority of as many as 58,3%. Dehydration status of child diarrhea with dehydration diarrhea mostly mild / moderate as many as 45,8%. Results analysis Kendall Tau of -0,443 with level a significance of 0,020. The results showed a p-value less than 0,05 (0,020 < 0,05) which means there is a relationship between behavior parents' in the treatment of oral hydration with the incidence of  dehydration in children with diarrhea in RSUD Saras Husada Purworejo. Conclusion: There is a relationship between behavior parents' in the treatment of oral hydration with the incidence of dehydration in children with diarrhea in RSUD Saras Husada Purworejo. Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a dominant response in children undergoing treatment prior to operation. When anxiety is not soon resolved it will affect physiological and psychological condition of children leading uncooperative behavior. Playing therapy intervention is given in efforts to minimize anxiety in children before operation. One of playing therapy interventions relevant with age of school children is video game playing therapy. Objective: The study aimed to identify effect of video game playing therapy to anxiety of preoperative school children at Melati surgery ward of Panembahan Senopati Hospital Bantul. Method: The study used pre experimental method and pre test and post test design of one group  without control. Samples consisted of 14 school children taken through purposive sampling. Data were collected before and after video game playing therapy and anxiety instrument Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSRAS) in check list sheet and analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test with ? = 0.05. Result: The result of Wilcoxon signed rank test showed significance of p-value = 0.001 < ? = 0.05. This showed there was effect of video game playing therapy to level of anxiety in preoperative school children at Melati Surgey Ward of Panembahan Senopati Bantul. Conlusion : There was decrease of anxiety in preoperative school children after intervention of video game playing therapy. Keywords : Playing therapy, anxiety, school children

Abstract

Background : Based on WHO (World health Organization), amount 3,6 million (3%) from 120 million baby birth befound neonatorum asfiction almost 90%, baby mortality happen in developing country. Main factor of neonatal mortality are neonatorum asfiction (27%) and low Birth Weight. Purpose : For know relation low birth weight with neonatorum asfiction. Methode : Analitik survey with observasional crossectional design place of riset in perinatologi ward RSUD Wates. Subject of riset is all baby birth in perinatologi ward year 2 on with inclusion and exclusion standart. Data seek by medical record with secondary data used analysis kendall,s tau technique and correlation coefision. Result : Amount 326 subject of riset, almost baby birth is median birth weight 217 baby (67%). Almost asfiction in baby birth with apgar score 4 ? 6 is 159 baby (49%). There was relationship low birth weight with neonatorum asfiction with p value 0,013. Conclusion : There was relationship low birth weight with neonatorum asfiction is very low. Abstract

Background: Nausea and vomiting are the most common symptoms in pregnancy and have affected 50-80% pregnant women. Acupressure is a science of healing by tapping, massaging, and massage the body with the intention of reactivating the energy balance in mother's body because the body adapt  to the changes that occur during pregnancy. With acupressure, especially at point pericardium 6 the balance in the body of mother can be overcome. Objective: To know the effectiveness of acupressure relaxation therapy to reducing complaints of nausea and vomiting in the first trimester pregnancy. Method: This was a quasi experimental study with Case Control design. Sample size was 22 respondents from Rachmi Maternity Hospital Yogyakarta with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used univariable analysis and bivariable with Mann W hitney U test with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: There was a significant difference in the frequency  of  nausea  and vomiting between  treatment and control groups. The decreased of frequency of nausea and vomiting in the treated group was higher than the control group (p =0.026). Conclusion: Acupressure therapy  i s effective  in  reducing  t h e  complaints  of  nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnancy at Rachmi Maternity Hospital Yogyakarta. Provide acupressure therapy to pregnant women who complained of nausea and vomiting in trimester I. Create a regular schedule acupressure therapy. Measure the levels of HCG, the hormone endorphin, intestinal peristalsis, the intensity and duration of nausea and vomiting. Keywords : Acupressure, nausea vomiting, pregnancy
