Abstract

This service’s activity to society aims to find out introduce the use of guava fruit as a basic ingredient of modern food from Japan, namely mochi ice cream. The method used was socialization and training aimed at the PKK group of Donorojo village, Tretep Temanggung sub-district. This service’s activity to societyis expected to be able to lift the selling value of guava which is one of the agricultural commodities that are often found in Donorojo Village. In addition, through this activity it is hoped that it can also increase people's interest in consuming healthy snacks. This service consists of several steps, namely socialization of guava, nutrition, and mochi; cooking training; and evaluation in the form of creations made by mochi ice cream. Through this evaluation, trainees can channel their creativity through the process they produce.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Artikel ini berkenaan dengan penerjemahan folklor untuk pengembangan pariwisata di SMK Negeri 6 Semarang. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran penerjemahan dalam pariwisata yang diterapan untuk para siswa SMK. Teori yang diterapkan adalah teori folklor dan teori penerjemahan. Metode yang diterapkan adalam metode penerjemahan tribahasa. Temuan yang diperoleh antara lain bahwa semua peserta bisa berbahasa Jawa, Indonesia, dan Inggris, sehingga dapat mempraktikkan penerjemahan folklore tribahasa dari bahasa Jawa kedalam bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa Inggris. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerjemahan folklor tribahasa cukup efektif diterapkan dalam pengembangan pariwisata terutama bagi masyarakat yang bahasa ibunya bahasa Jawa. Dengan demikian, folklor bahasa Jawa yang diterjemahkan kedalam bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan domestik, dan yang diterjemahkan kedalam bahasa Inggris dapat meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara.Kata kunci:  folklor; penerjemahan tribahasa, pengembangan pariwisatai. ABSTRACT This article deals with the translation of folklore for the development of tourism at Semarang State Vocational High School 6. The purpose of this article is to examine the role of translation in tourism applied to vocational students. The theory applied is folklore theory and translation theory. The method applied is the method of translating tribahasa. The findings obtained include that all participants could speak Javanese, Indonesian and English, so that they could practice translating tribahasa folklore from Javanese into Indonesian and English. It can be concluded that the translation of tribahasa folklore is quite effective in the development of tourism, especially for people whose native language is Javanese. Thus, Javanese folklore translated into Indonesian can increase domestic tourist visits, and translated into English can increase foreign tourist visits.Keywords: folklore; trilingual translation, tourism development.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di SMKN 6 Semarang bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan praktis menulis paragraf promotif berbasis folklor bagi siswa kelas X jurusan Perhotelan. Keterampilan menulis paragraf yang baik akan menambah bekal kecakapan praktis untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Agar pelatihan penulisan ini menarik bagi para siswa, digunakan model penulisan paragraf dengan struktur lampu lalu lintas yang terbalik, yaitu Hijau-Kuning-Merah. Setiap warna mewakili unsur tertentu dalam suatu paragraf yang baik. Warna Hijau mewakili Kalimat Topik, warna Kuning mewakili Kalimat-kalimat Pendukung, dan warna Merah mewakili Kalimat Penutup. Untuk memudahkan pelatihan digunakan Metode Dwi Bahasa yang mengkombinasikan bahasa Inggris yang dipelajari dengan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa ibu. Pelatihan penulisan paragraf ini terbagi dalam tiga sesi, yaitu sesi penyajian materi, sesi latihan terpandu, dan sesi evaluasi terpandu. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas X jurusan Perhotelan SMKN 6 Semarang antusias mengikuti sesi demi sesi pelatihan karena mereka tidak terbebani oleh perasaan enggan atau takut untuk menulis. Simpulan yang bisa ditarik adalah diperlukan pelatihan praktis menggunakan model dan metode yang menarik dan sesuai dengan kawula muda agar pelatihan berjalan dengan lancar dan sukses.Kata kunci :  folklor, paragraf, struktur lampu lalu lintas, metode dua bahasa

Abstract

This activities goal is to remind the importance of educating children about life skills and to develop their creativity in order to be able to create and produce functional goods that have economic value so that children may also learn entrepreneurship. Through this community service activity (pengabdian kepada masyarakat), children are encouraged to create ideas and develop their imagination, and skills to create patchwork. This PKM that designed to contain educational, entertainment and attractive elements are expected to foster self-confidence, independence, constructive social abilities and stimulate entrepreneurial  spirit.Keywords: patchwork, life skills education, entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Community service is focused on strengthening the national outlook for students of Salatiga State High School 3. Students are part of the younger generation who will continue the journey of the nation in the future. At the age level of the younger generation, the development of his personality is still unstable. Need to foster and strengthen the identity and character of young students. Through socialization and simulation and understanding of national insights, can broaden views and increase the intensity of appreciation and practice of national values. The goal is that students get a strong grip on the nationality value system so that it is not easily swayed by the western value system which is currently controlling all aspects of human life. The results of this community service show that efforts to strengthen the national outlook appear in the simulation process to be able to foster new awareness and experience about the pillars of national life. The context of the formation is the responsibility of all parties and at the formal level the responsibility of the educational institution.Keywords: Strengthening, nationalism insight, radicalism, intolerance, young generation.
