Abstract

Suyadi, An under sea pipe connection (girth weld) is an area that possibly will get defect. This weld defects have a potential for causing tension concentration, so that there will be preliminary crack. This crack will spread due to cyclic loads received by the structure. This final assignment research is performed for evaluating mechanical integrity and girth weld having weld defect using method of Failure Analysis Diagram (FAD) and it takes a sample of case for South Sumatra West Java pipe belongs to PGN Co.Ltd. FAD is a method, which is good enough for evaluating the integrity of pipe structure having crack like flaw upon the weld. FAD divides two areas, namely safe area and unsafe area constructed by two axis, namely x axis that is stress ratio (Lr) and y axis that is stress intensity ratio (Kr). Stress ratio (Lr) is a ratio between a ref and a yield, mean while stress intensity ratio (Kr) is a ratio (stress intensity factor) between Kl and KIC (fracture toughness material). ANSYS 8.0 software is used for modeling by considering that the defect is in the form of semi elliptic with a/2c variation, that is 0,0469; 0,0938; 0,01406; and 0,1750. The loading upon the pipe is considered as the minimum loading (pull = 8284.25 psi), medium (pull = 41421.25 psi) and maximum (pull = 82842.5 psi). From the analysis result, it is obtained that crack dimension with a/2c 0.175 is not safe upon minimum and medium loading, mean while upon the maximum loading condition, all modeled cracks dimensions cause the pipe is not safe. Abstract

Abdullah, in paper recycling of pineapple waste using lactobacillus delbroeckii to lactic acid, explain that The pineapple wastes juice contains mainly sucrose, glucose, fructose and other nutrients. It therefore can potentially be used as carbon source for organic acid fermentation. Recently, lactic acid has been considered to be an important raw material for production of biodegradable lactate polymer. The experiments were carried out in shake flask fermentation using Lactobacillus delbrueckii. Effect of some parameters such as temperature, initial pH, initial substrate concentration, yeast extract concentration and fermentation time to the yield have been studied. The highest yield was 85.65 % achieved at 40 o C, pH 6.00, 52.5 g/l sugar concentration with 5 g/l yeast extract. There was no significant increasing in lactic acid production was observed if supplementation of yeast extract above 10 %..

Abstract

Ignatius Christiawan, in this paper explain that In effort fulfill requirement the well building infrastructure, safety of building user such as building avalanche damage as result of earthquake is principal priority. Due to user safety to building avalanche as result of earthquake then it was issued the Procedure of Earthquake Endurance Planning SNI 03-1726-2003 that regulates of planning, build or operates a building. Problem emerge at the building which have the old regulation plan, so it was need evaluation based on the new regulation. Evaluation is conducted at the 3 floor laboratory and lecturing building. Research was focused on performance evaluation of structure on existing condition relate at regulation of the Procedure of Concrete Structure Calculation for the SNI 2847-2002, application for earthquake based on SNI-1726-2002. SAP 2000 is used to analyze the pushover to obtain the building ductility value and the reduction factor value (R) from the building. The result of material test was obtained fo’ existing 17 Mpa and fy existing 390 Mpa. The result of structure performance evaluation was obtained the service limit performance and the building unlimited performance fulfilling condition SNI – 1726 – 2002. Abstract

Bambang Setiabudi, in paper Study on effect of the NPP development toward spatial planning at District of Jepara had been done to support government policy according to governmental rule No. 5, Year of 2006 concerning National Energy Policy which nuclear energy is chosen as one of alternative energy source. The study was done by estimating growth of resident naturally with geometric method, increase of constructing labor pursuant to requirement of standard, and growth of resident as impact of economics growth and then to predict the land use change due to facilities requirement. Research result indicates that change of space pattern of non-agriculture settlement is equal to 15%. This research aim toperceive the transient over voltage at the end of 500 kv transmission line caused energized process by using EMTP(Electromagnetic Transients Program) as toll to simulate the energized process. Mohd Ridwan, Eko Yulianto, in paper competency of naval architecture diploma program on Indonesian maritime industry explain that Shipbuilding engineering professionals is part of the leading maritime industry is expected to become the motor of development of national maritime fleet in the implementation of cabotage (Impres No.5, 2005), this will reduce foreign exchange spending nearly 99 trillion rupiah per year due to the use of foreign fleets, and the creation of new jobs as a supporter of the maritime industry. So the presence of workers who have competence in the field of shipbuilding (ship building, naval architecture, marine engineering enginerring and maritime transportation) is urgently needed and their capability to compete with other countries that previously controlled the sea as a source of national income should be the Indonesian government's attention. Abstract

A. Sutowo Latief, Rizal Syarief, Bambang Pramudya, Muhadiono, in this paper explain that the reseach was aimed to increase of brown sugarcane (gula tumbu) quality by sulphitation method in laboratory eksperimetal, supposed the result fulfils the first quality according to SNI 1-6237-2000 that is a minimal condition of safety food. The method based on factorial complete random plan thrice reduplications. Initially nira that filtered given lime tohor and heated 50-60oC up to achieve ph 9. The treatment: (1) make nira ph 7 and ph 8 with add sulphite acid, and (2) ripening temperature, that is 70,80,90, and 100oC. Nira that heated up to coagulate and it was poured into moulding and solidification to be brown sugarcane. The testing is done towards sugar quality, it was result with parameter: (1) water contain, (2) sucrose contain, (3) glucose contain, (4) rendemen, (5) colour, (6) taste, (6) smell, and (8) hardness of brown sugarcane that produced fulfil the first quality of SNI 1-6237-2000. The best treatment process heats nira in 100°C, either nira ph 7 and nira ph 8. Keywords: brown sugarcane, quality, sulfitation method.
