Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted various demographic parameters in Indonesia. One of the parameters affected is fertility. This study discusses the impact of Covid-19 on changes in fertility parameters in Indonesia. The parameters measured were the number of pregnancies, the number of births, the number of Total Fertility Rate (TFR) and the number of people 0-4 years. This study uses a quantitative approach, with secondary data analysis methods. Data processing in this study using spectrum software. The modules used in the software are DemProj and FamPlan. The basic assumption made in this study is the decline in users of short-term contraceptive methods (condoms, pills, and injections) during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that Covid-19 has the potential to have an impact on increasing the number of pregnancies, increasing the number of births, increasing the TFR rate and increasing the number of Indonesians aged 0-4 years.

Abstract

The paradigm of thinking about geography has an essential shift that categorizes the supporting sciences of geography in a separately. These problems have to resulted in the existence of geography not being discussed in a full, which includes physical and humans aspects. On the other hand, the formation of a geographical thinking paradigm in the learning only focuses on knowledge of what and where a phenomenon occurs. Whereas the design of geography learning must be constructive and in line with the capabilities of geography (geocapabilites) in reconstructing the essence of geography in the comprehensive manner. This article tries to revitalize the essence of geography and the formation of student high school paradigms in learning into restore the integrity of geography as a science. In essence, geography puts more emphasis on a unique way of studying the earth with a variety of assistive sciences in the perspective of geography eyes (a geographical point of view includes: spatial, environmental, and complex areas). The geography learning design that is designed must be focus on the ability of students to construct (constructively) and correlate each relationship with the meaning of the nature of geography.

Abstract

The calculation and analysis of changes in surface air temperature and rainfall in Denpasar City has been carried out using data from observation of BMKG. Data obtained from Ngurah Rai Meteorological Station during the period of 1985-2019 and Sanglah Geophysical Station during the period of 1995-2019. The results of the annual data analysis showed that in general the air temperature in Denpasar has increased. Monthly data also shows that the average air temperature in the last five years has increased than the climatological data. The annual accumulation of rainfall showed a downward trend. The monthly average for the last five years shows a shift in the beginning of the rainy season which results in a longer dry season, but there is an increase of rainfall during the dry season period.

Abstract

Extreme precipitation with a continuous high frequency may trigger disasters such as floods. In an effort to minimize losses caused by flooding, a statistical model can be used to predict extreme precipitation by taking into account several factors that influence it. One model that can be used is Quantile Regression. Based on the results of quantile regression analysis involving temperature, humidity, sun exposure, wind speed and air pressure, it can be concluded that in the 75th, 90th and 95th quantiles, the variables that affect extreme precipitation are temperature and duration of sun exposure. The visualization of extreme precipitation predictions in the 75th, 90th and 95th quantiles have the same pattern as the actual data. The results of prediction of extreme precipitation are beneficial for flood mitigation as part of flood early warning system.

Abstract

The increasing number of residents in urban areas has an impact on urban management, especially in the aspect of providing green open space (RTH). This indicates the need to stimulate the availability of green open space both in terms of quality and quantity. The development of industrial areas is an attraction for workers both from within and outside the city of Bandung. The aim of this research is to determine the availability of green open space in the city of Bandung. This research uses data from Landsat 8 OLI satellite imagery. The method used in this study was carried out throughout the city of Bandung with digital image interpretation methods. The result shows that the Change in Availability of Green Open Space (RTH) in the Bandung City area in 2019 is considered quite stable. So that the area of green open space in the city of Bandung in the same year was only 15% of the entire area of the city of Bandung.
