Abstract

ABSTRACTInfluence of Behavior Based Safety toward Medical Waste Management As health care institutions, hospitals not only produce regular garbage, but also produces a wide range of waste in the form of liquid, solid and gas. Most of the hospital's medical waste including hazardous waste into categories and some of them belong to the category of infectious very important to be properly managed. This type of research is a quasi experimental study and the experimental desain was non equivalent control group design. Sampling method by insidential sampling, without attention between inclusion and exclusion criteria which obtained a sample of 30 experimental and 30 control samples. The data obtained by using a paired t test and Npar test. Based on the test results of Paired t-test and Npar test obtained between pretest and posttest control group, for the knowledge variable (p-value = 0.326), attitude (p-value = 0.157) and practice (p-value = 0.317) states no significant differences. Between pretest and posttest experimental group, for the knowledge variable (p-value = 0.000), attitude (p-value = 0.000) and practice (p-value = 0.001) states a significant difference.The influence behavior-based safety program on knowledge, attitudes and practices of medical waste management to nurse at ken saras hospital.Key Words : Behavior based safety, huns card, medical waste management

Abstract

ABSTRACTData from ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and the Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purpose), an estimated 40,000 to 70,000 child victims of sexual exploitation throughout Indonesia, expected 21,000 involved in prostitution on the Island of Java. Abdi Asih NGOs as NGOs and child protection and oldest woman in Surabaya shows child victims of CSEC in 2013 from 28 cases of commercial child sexual exploitation, child prostitution topped with 23 (82%) cases, the youngest 12 years and oldest 18 years. Underlying factors also very complex, such as economy factors 19 (67%), datting and peer pressure 6 (21%), lack of conrol and parental love 2 (7%), lifestyle 1 (3,5%). Eksploiter is not only by strangers but more done by people known to the victim as his girlfriend and neighbors. Children are the group that many touted to be the victim of sexual exploitation as helpless. Child commersial eksploitasion is very dangerous, because such sex usually unprotected, children are rarely in a position to negotiate safer sex and therefore carry a greater risk of becoming infected with HIV or other STD. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Effect Of Game Snakes And Ladders Illustrated Book Stories As Media Of Health Promotion Toward The Practice Of Handwashing: Children are the group most vulnerable to the transmission of the disease. Morbidity of diarrhea in children aged 5-14 years in Pekalongan in 2013 as many as 6,014 or 21.6% of total patients with diarrhea. Transmission of the disease in children can be prevented by hand washing with soap (CTPS). Handwashing child can through health education. Media used in a variety of health education as a game of snakes and ladders and picture books. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the game of snakes and ladders and picture books as a medium for health promotion against the practice of handwashing with soap in primary school students in the District Karanganyar Regency Pekalongan. Using a quasi-experimental research design. Samples were elementary school students grades 4 and 5 SDN Kayugeritan many as 46 people and SDN Kulu many as 46 people with purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a game of snakes and ladders, picture books and hand-washing practices check list. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney.The results showed that there was a difference in effectiveness between the game of snakes and ladders and picture books as a medium for health promotion against the practice of handwashing with soap in primary school students in the District Karanganyar Pekalongan with value 0,000 <0,05. Snakes and ladders game media is more effective than a picture story book. Based on the research results it is recommended that the health institutions to improve health education about the practice of washing hands with soap and using health education media easy and interesting for children of elementary school students like snakes and ladders game media.Keywords: effectiveness, health education, snakes and ladders games, picture books

Abstract

ABSTRACTDescription of Risk Behaviors HIV Among Injecting Drug Users In Central Java Province; Injecting drug users (IDUs) is the high risk population that was vulnerable to HIV infection. IDUs not only contribute HIV through unsafe injecting behavior but also through risky sexual behavior. The HIV prevalence among IDUs in Indonesia still highest position it was reached 41% in 2011. In Central Java province percentage factor for HIV transmission risk through unsafe injecting among IDUs is still high, it was 7.7%. The high number cases of HIV in IDU’s would be worried, it can be predicted that cases of HIV would spread to general population. This study aims to describe HIV risk behaviors among IDUs in Central Java Province. This research is a quantitative with cross sectional approach. The number of respondents in this study was 172 IDUs in Central Java Province. Analysis of data using univariate analysis with frequency distribution. The results showed the hiv risk behavior of injecting drug use that 8% of IDUs reported sharing needle without bleaching. On sexual behavior patterns majority of respondents (37.2%) had one partner and not using a condom at last sex.Keywords: IDU’s, HIV Risk Behaviors, Central Java Province

Abstract

ABSTRACTEffect of Perceived Knowledge and Behavior Control Of Intention Men having sex with Men (MSM) For Doing VCT In Madiun; MSM realize that risky sexual behavior that they do so may cause transmission of HIV and AIDS, but there is a dilemma that prevents them from doing VCT. This study was conducted to determine the effect of knowledge and perceived behavioral control on intention MSM for VCT. This research is survey explanatory research with cross sectional approach with a large sample of 170 LSL. Bivariate analysis using chi square test and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results showed that 53.53% of respondents have the intention to do VCT. Results of bivariate test variables associated with intention MSM VCT is perceived behavior control of the VCT and MSM knowledge about HIV / AIDS and VCT. To improve the intention MSM VCT Madiun district KPA should improve IEC in the MSM community and provide mobile VCT services.Keywords: Men who have sex with men (MSM), the intention VCT, HIV/AIDS

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe kelambunisasi program is one of the efforts undertaken in West Sumba Regency to prevent and cope with malaria. However, data from the West Sumba District health office shows that the incidence of malaria in the work area of the Puskesmas Kabukarudi continues to increase. In 2011 the API value was 32.380 / 00. Next in 2012 the API value increases to 64,000 / 00. This study aims to determine the factors - factors that influence the behavior of the use of mosquito nets in housewives. The type of this research is explanatory research with cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study were 130 housewives. Data analysis was done univariat, bivariate with Chi-Square, and multivariate with logistic regression. The results showed that most respondents (54.70%) used mosquito nets well. The most dominant variable affecting the behavior of using mosquito net is perception of family head support. Variables related to the behavior of mosquito net use were perception variable about malaria disease and use of mosquito net, attitudes toward the use of mosquito net, perception of family head support in using mosquito net, and exposure of information about malaria disease and use of mosquito net.Keywords: Housewives, behavioral use of mosquito nets, prevention of malaria

Abstract

ABSTRACTUser Condom and Lubricant Behavior on Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) in Surakarta Sub-Distric: One of prevention HIV/AIDS in MSM is using condom and lubricant in having sex consistenly. MSM is a high risk population whose can be time bomb to infection of HIV/AIDS. The aim of research is identifying the factors that influence to user condom and lubricant behavior on the MSM in Surakarta. The type of this research is explanatory research with cross sectional approach. The subject of research is men who have sex with men (MSM) in Surakarta, with sample of 198 people. The result of analysis bivariate variable that related to behavior of condoms user and lubricant is attitude (ρ = 0.000) and level of knowledge about condoms and lubricant (ρ = 0.001). The results of experiment regression logistic is showing the most influence variable to behavior condoms user and lubricants in Surakarta is attitude (OR = 2,502) the meaning is support respondent will lean using condom and lubricant consistently by 2,502 times than respondents less support.Keywords : Behavior, condom and lubricant, MSM
