Abstract

The monetization of Islamic preaching in the digital era has rapidly expanded through the use of social media by popular preachers. This study aims to analyze how these preachers apply Islamic marketing strategies to monetize da'wah and its impact on their welfare, da'wah production teams, and the broader Muslim community. Using a descriptive qualitative method and literature study approach, this research explores monetization models such as digital advertising, sponsorship, premium memberships, crowdfunding, and the Marketing Mix 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion). The findings reveal that ethical monetization aligned with Islamic values can empower the ummah economically. Models emphasizing financial transparency and public benefit, such as crowdfunding and voluntary donations, are considered more in line with Islamic ethics than ad-based or exclusive paid content. However, balancing commercialization with spiritual integrity remains a challenge. Therefore, principles of Tawhid, Maslahah, Amanah, Adl, and Ihsan must guide da'wah monetization in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to rank the level of strictness in Sharia stock screening standards across five major indices DJIM, MSCI Islamic, FTSE Shariah, KLSI, and ISSI. The research uses a qualitative-comparative analysis with a weighted scoring approach based on five key indicators: debt ratio, non-halal income tolerance, prohibited sectors, purification mechanisms, and technical screening methods. The results show that DJIM and MSCI fall into the very strict category, FTSE and KLSI are moderate, while ISSI is categorized as lenient. This variation provides important insights for investors and regulators in assessing how far an index reflects Sharia compliance and prudential standards.

Abstract

The emergence of the mining industry in an area has a positive impact on the socio-economic life of the community there, especially in the mining community concession areas. Indonesia's mining sector plays an important role in the country's economy, contributing greatly to state revenues and job creation. The mining sector experienced a decline in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic which also had an impact on Indonesia's GDP, resulting in a growth contraction of minus 2.07% compared to the previous year (BPS, 2021). This study aims to determine the efficiency performance of mining companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) and mining companies listed on the LQ45 Index, and also to determine how the efficiency of the two compares. The data used in this study are panel data with 4 selected companies from a total ISSI sample of 22 companies and 4 selected companies from a total LQ45 sample of 11 companies. This study uses a non-parametric method, namely Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), then a normality test is carried out with the Kolmogorov Smirnov-Test to determine whether the data is normally distributed or not. And the Mann Whitney U-Test was conducted to determine the significance of the differences in the efficiency levels of mining companies listed on ISSI and LQ45. The results of the study showed that the efficiency performance of mining companies listed on ISSI showed imperfect efficiency of 81%, the efficiency performance of mining companies listed on LQ45 also showed imperfect efficiency of 66%. While the comparison of efficiency between the two showed a significant difference seen based on the mean rank which showed the average value of ISSI mining company efficiency of 91.87, which was greater than LQ45 mining companies with a value of 69.13

Abstract

This study models the stock price movement of Bank Aladin Syariah (BANK), Indonesia’s first Islamic digital bank, using the ARIMA method. As a pioneer in branchless, technology-driven sharia banking, Bank Aladin significantly contributes to enhancing financial inclusion and advancing Islamic finance. Its status as a first mover renders it particularly relevant to investors and market analysts, as its stock performance reflects broader sentiment toward technological adoption in the Islamic financial sector. The dataset comprises 694 daily closing prices sourced from Yahoo Finance, spanning the period from May 18, 2022, to March 27, 2025. Given the non-stationary nature of the data, first-order differencing was applied to attain stationarity. The ARIMA(1,1,1) model was identified as the most appropriate, producing nine-step-ahead forecasts ranging from 804.9910 to 804.9836 with gradually increasing standard errors. The model yields stable and conservative projections, offering valuable insights for investors and stakeholders in the Islamic digital banking sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of digital literacy and Islamic financial literacy on the decision to use paylater, with trust in financial institutions as a mediating variable. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a survey involving 228 respondents selected by the purposive sampling method with certain criteria. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results of the study show that digital culture and trust in financial institutions have a significant effect on the decision to use paylater services partially with the probability value of each prob. 0.000 and prob. 0.046. Meanwhile, digital ethics and digital skills did not have a significant effect on the decision to use paylater (prob. > value 0.05). In addition, Islamic finance skills (prob. 0.000) and Islamic financial knowledge (prob. 0.000) affect trust in Islamic financial institutions. In terms of moderation effect, this study found that only Islamic finance skills moderated the influence of trust in Islamic financial institutions on paylater usage decisions (prob. 0.048), while digital safety and digital skills did not show a significant moderation effect
