Abstract

The Inverse Moore Penrose matrix has been applied in various areas, for example in statistic and optimization. In this paper we study Inverse Moore Penrose matrix which is applied to Integral Domain. We will first discuss the characterization of all matrices over Integral Domain which admits Moore Penrose Inverse. With this characterization we will derive  necessary and sufficient conditions for a matrix to have a Moore Penrose Inverse. We also show the relations between Moore Penrose Inverse matrix and Compound matrix. The aim of this paper is to obtain an explicit formula for the Moore Penrose Inverse when it exist and gives a necessary and sufficient condition for a matrix to have a Moore Penrose Inverse under the assumption that a matrix has a rank factorization.

Abstract

The present of outlier data causes the estimator of variance-covariance be overestimated. As a consequent, in the principle component analysis, the variability of the data in the main component becomes biger than as expected. To cope this condition, one can use robust estimator, i.e. MVE and MCD. Using simulation of Monte Carlo Experiments, the Principal Component Analysis  using estimator MCD has the better performance than the estimator MVE and also classic estimator.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) East Java Distribution (PLN Jatim) is one of the biggest providing electrics companies in East Java. Electrics is very important need  for people. If PLN experiences some financial losses, then the society will sufter from the impact. One of the causes of PLN losses is the illegal usage of the electricity by some customers.  PLN Jatim has recorded five categories of cutomer violation. The research aimed is to know the position of service area and the network (APJ) based on the violation category. This research uses Cross Tabulation Analysis method and Correspondence Analysis method. The Result shows that Malang and Situbondo’s APJs tend to be A violation category. Mojokerto and Kediri’s APJs tend to be B violation category Banyuwangi, Jember and Pamekasan’s APJs tend to be C violation category. Madiun, Pasuruan and Sidoarjo’s APJs tend to be D violation category. Gresik’s APJs tend to be E violation category.

Abstract

This paper discusses about choosing the optimal number of hidden units at neural network models which is applied to the Composite Stock Price Index data in Surabaya Stock Exchange. One of the problem in fitting NN models is  an NN model which fits well may give poor out-of-sample forecasts. Thus it is required traditional methods such as ACF and PACF to select a good NN model, e.g. to select appropiate lagged variables as the ‘inputs’. The Incremental Contribution of Cells methods which belong to the general-to-specific procedure is used to choose the optimal number of hidden units. The size and topology of networks is selected by reducing the size of the network through the use of kuadratic correlation coefficients and graphical analysis of network output for every  hidden layer cell. The resulted of NN model is compared with models with different architecture those obtain from the Box-Jenkins methods. The Akaike’s Information Criterion and Schwartz Bayesian Criterion are used for comparing different models.

Abstract

In Situbondo, seaweed drying is currently conducted tradityonally. This process produces low quality seaweeds. An alternative way to cope this problem is to develop an hybrid power drying equipment utilizing heat energy from fuel and solar energy. The result of this drying depends on heat distribution. To understand the heat dispersion, one need to analyse temperature distribution in the drying equipment, in particular in the drying plate. Therefore, a model distribution on plate is developed when the heat in  from solar and stove. The model is solved using Finite Different Method. The solution will be formulating to the central, side and corner of the plate. Computation with Matlab will be compared with the result of complements Fluent 6.0 software. The result show that the heat transfer occurs from one area in the plate to others areas due to temperature difference. The profile of the temperature distribution decreases and dispers vertically and horizontally to the edge and the bottom of the plate.

Abstract

The stability analysis for a competition model between two populations is the main topic in this paper. Stability is studied by considering the  eigenvalues of system differential equations according to the logistic equations which are developed for two populations. This paper can also be used as an introduction of the qualitative theory through a stability analysis. Additionally, this paper is proposed to the beginners in differential equations.
