Abstract

Aluminium is a light metal which has a very good physical and mechanical properties and it easy to be formed. Casting of aluminium posses some advantages high conductivity and low melting point, enables applied permanent mold too. Material that is used to make mold is from special steel, and when casting process, after aluminium-mag-nesium alloy melting will be poured in mold hence after the permanent mold heated in va-rious temperature which has been determined that is, 300 oC, 350 oC and 400 oC. Heat-ing of mold at this research meant to know how far the influence is happened to mechani-cal properties from Aluminium-Magnesium alloy (series 5xxx) especially tensile strength, hardness and transformation of microstructure. From result of research which to be got best tensile strength value to draw alloy Aluminium-Magnesium (Al-Mg) at 350 oC tem-perature equal to 11,11 kg/mm2 and highest hardness at 350 oC temperature equal to 101,64 HB (Hardness Brinnel) while microstructure that is very homogen also there is at temperature 350 oC.

Abstract

Welding is a fabric Welder i.e a fabrication process that applied to joint metal material by using temperature dissociation energy of diatomic. Up to this day, welding has been used widely on joining steel and engine constructions. The influence of thermal cycle on welding causes metallurgical changes i.e residual stress and changes of mechanical characteristics (hardness, strength tensile, reconnaissance of macro and micro structures) on the result of low carbon steel weldment. This research was done to obtain the proper treatment for normalizing weldment result on different current to mechanical character. The value of hardness and strength tensile is best obtained after normalizing process at temperature of 8600C is at the current of 140A with hardness mean value of 78,67 HRB ( weld), 73,89 HRB ( HAZ) and 70,11 HRB ( mains), while strength tensile is 45,835 Kgf/mm2.

Abstract

Composite material especially with fiber reinforcement starts growing rapidly with existence of requirement of light and strong material. Beside that, it is easy to be formed and resistant to corrosion. In this last decade, composite material using natural fiber has been implemented by the European automobile producers. Based on those considera-tions research about composite using kenaf fiber as reinforcement material big strength of mechanic for each varation. (1) Kenaf fiber without cleaning, (2) Kenaf fiber with soaking in NaOH for an hour,(3) Kenaf fiber with soaking in NaOH for two hours and with material matrix polyester.Based on the calculation and experimental analysis soaking in NaOH and bedding of Acrylic increase the mechanical properties. So composite resin polyester as matrix with treatment is much better than without treatment.

Abstract

Torongrejo juga mempunyai Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa (LPMD) yang mencoba membantu untuk meningkatkan kemandirian masyarakat Desa dan meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat desa. Dalam pelaksanaannya, LPMD bersinergi dengan kelompok Pendidikan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) yang dipimpin oleh isteri dari Kepala Desa. Kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh ibu-ibu PKK kebanyakan yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan keterampilan-keterampilan. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan ibu-ibu dalam membuat sabun mandi, maka Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat Jurusan Teknik Industri S1 ITN Malang memfasilitasi pelatihan di Desa Torongrejo Kota Batu. Kegiatan ini merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat Desa Torongrejo Kota Batu yang diharapkan dapat menjadi kenyataan dengan kemandirian ekonomi. Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan sabun diikuti oleh 25 (dua puluh lima) peserta yang merupakan kader-kader penggerak PKK Desa Torongrejo Batu. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 6 September 2016. Ibu-ibu peserta sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegitaan ini. Di samping itu mereka merasa mendapatkan ilmu dan pengetahuan baru tentang sabun, sehingga banyak yang akan memproduksi sendiri sabun tersebut. Ditinjau dari dari segi ekonomi, masing-masing bahan utama sebanyak 200 gram dapat dibeli dengan harga Rp. 5.600, dan dapat dihasilkan sebanyak 1,7 liter sabun cair. Jika dibandingkan dengan sabun sejenis yang dibeli di super market, maka sabun buatan sendiri harganya jauh lebih murah. Kalaupun hasilnya mau dipasarkan atau dijual dengan harga Rp. 10.000,- maka diperoleh keuntungan Rp. 4.400,- per 1,5 liter.

Abstract

Dalam pelaksanaannya, LPMD bersinergi dengan Karang Taruna Desa Torongrejo Kota Batu. Salah satu program kerja dari karang taruna ini adalah meningkatkan kemandirian usaha di mana masing-masing anggota dapat menciptakan usaha baik perorangan maupun kelompok. Salah satu keterampilan yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemandirian tersebiut adalah usaha pembuatan batik. Hal ini sejalan dengan program Pemerintah Kota Batu yaitu melestarikan warisan budaya bangsa yaitu batik. sehubungan dengan hal ini pemerintah Kota Batu telah membagikan kain batik khas Kota Batu kepada siswa-siswi sebagai seragam sekolah dari tingkat SD/MI sampai dengan tingkat SMA/SMK/MA. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi oleh Karang Taruna untuk mewujudkan target ini adalah tidak adanya instruktur membatik. Melihat kondisi seperti ini maka Tim Pengabdi Kepada Mayarakat ITN Malang di bawah LPPM ITN Malang mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan batik bagi Anggota Karang Taruna Desa Torongrejo Kota Batu pada tanggal 13 Agustus 2017 yang diikuti oleh 13 peserta dari 20 yang diharapkan. Pelatihan diikuti dengan antusias oleh peserta, terbukti dengan waktu yang panjang mereka dengan sabar dan teliti dapat menyelesaikan satu lembar kain batik sebagai hasil pelatihan membatik.

Abstract

This script was aimed to determine the necessary conditions for boundedness of Riesz potential in the classical Morrey space. If these results are combined with previous research results will be obtained the necessary and sufficient condition for boundedness of Riesz potential. This necessary condition is obtained through the use of characteristic function as one member of the classical Morrey space.

Abstract

Pada makalah ini dikembangkan Teknik  Integral Batas (TIB) untuk mengetahui pengaruh gravitasi dan tegangan permukaan pada aliran fluida di atas gundukan dalam saluran yang mana aliran fluidanya dalam dua-dimensi, tak-mampu-mampat, tak-berputar dan tak-kental. Bentuk penyelesaiannya adalah sistem persamaan integral-batas yang berasal dari teknik Riemann-Hilbert untuk masalah batas campuran dari fungsi analitis.

Abstract

In Situbondo, seaweed drying is currently conducted tradityonally. This process produces low quality seaweeds. An alternative way to cope this problem is to develop an hybrid power drying equipment utilizing heat energy from fuel and solar energy. The result of this drying depends on heat distribution. To understand the heat dispersion, one need to analyse temperature distribution in the drying equipment, in particular in the drying plate. Therefore, a model distribution on plate is developed when the heat in  from solar and stove. The model is solved using Finite Different Method. The solution will be formulating to the central, side and corner of the plate. Computation with Matlab will be compared with the result of complements Fluent 6.0 software. The result show that the heat transfer occurs from one area in the plate to others areas due to temperature difference. The profile of the temperature distribution decreases and dispers vertically and horizontally to the edge and the bottom of the plate.

Abstract

Disposal of either industrial or nonindustrial wastewater into a river has a potential to cause river pollution. Because each load of wastewater discharged into a river contains physical, chemical, and biological parameters that determine water quality, so that it can affect the dissolved oxygen concentration in a river. Therefore the conducted research was aimed to determine the pattern of pollutant dispersion in Surabaya River within the section that is closed to the Karang Pilang Monitoring Station - Surabaya. Parameter used in this research was Total Suspended Solids (TSS). The method used was the finite volume method with Quadratic Upwind Interpolation Convective Kinematics (QUICK) scheme by means of developing models of dispersion water pollutants in a river. The governing equation was controlled by the laws of mass conservation, momentum conservation, and pollution transport equation. Further, these equations were solved using numerical calculation and followed by numerical simulation. From the numerical simulation results, it can be concluded that the magnitude of pollutant dispersion is determined by the initial discharged TSS concentrations into the river, however the longitudinal direction is more dominantly influenced than in lateral directions.
