Abstract

Ringworm of the skin caused by a Trichophyton mentaghrophytes, Drugs that are commonly used are synthetic drugs, synthetic drugs can have a negative impact. By because it, research on natural antifungal substances continue to do that with the use of pineapple skin.A pineapple skin waste processed pineapple industry, namely the remainder of the meat and fruit contains secondary metabolites are flavonoids, phenolics, saponins, triterpenoids, steroids and alkaloids. The purpose of this study to determine the content of secondary metabolites contained in the pineapple skin and for the inhibition of Trichophyton mentaghrophytes using experimental laboratoryin vitro. Pineapple bark extract prepared in various concentrations of 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%, then test the inhibition ofTrichophyton mentaghrophytesand incubated temperature 25o C for 5day. Based on the results obtained percentage pineapple skin extractfungal inhibition test Trichophyton mentaghrophytesthe concentration 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%, respectively, are22%, 37%, 46% and 56% compared to the positive control.Based on this research, pineapple bark extract containing flavonoids, phenolics, saponins, triterpenoids, steroids and alkaloids. The results of this study can be concluded that the extract of pineapple skin Trichophyton mentaghrophyteswhich is characterized by the formation of inhibit zone.

Abstract

Head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) is an insect that carries a disease that makes the loss of confidence. Efforts of control and pembutuasan head lice is the use of natural insecticides, one of the plants that have the potential as a natural insecticide is duku skin extract (Lansium domesticum Corr.). The purpose of this study was to determine mortality of head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) and to know the compounds contained in duku skin extract. The research used laboratory experimental method with design research design post only control group. Based on the result of the research, the most effective rate of death of head louse (Pediculus humanus capitis) is 15% concentration with 4 head of head louse (80%), while at concentration 10% is 2 tail (40%) and at concentration 5% there is a dead head louse 0 (0%). The results of this study can be concluded that duku leaf extract (Lansium domesticum Corr.) Serves as a natural insecticide due to the presence of secondary metabolite compounds that are active in killing head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis).

Abstract

In this paper we studied the bioactive compounds of Flavonol-D-alanil D-alanin dekarboksipeptidase receptor interactions In silico. First, prepared three dimensional structure of D-alanil D-alanin dekarboksipeptidase as receptor. Preparation of fourth bioactive compounds of flavonol which will be as ligands, klokasilin and D-alanil D-alanin as a comparison. The fourth bioactive compounds of flavonol, klokasilin and D-alanil D-alanin were docked with D-alanil D-alanin dekarboksipeptidase until energy values were obtained. The fourth bioactive compounds of flavonol had lesser binding energy values than D-alanil D-alanin, Quercitrine and rutin also predicted to have greater binding energy and binding affinity than klokasilin (antibiotic) and D-alanil D-alanin (nature ligand).

Abstract

The organic farming system is a holistic agricultural production management system for improving and developing agro-ecosystem health, including biodiversity, biological cycles, and soil biological activities. Organic farming systems use natural fertilizers and pesticides, while conventional farming systems still use chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Environmental conditions are expected to affect the chemical content of rice. One of the main chemical constituents in rice is amylose and protein. This research is a laboratory experimental study that aims to see the amylose and protein content of Solok rice types sokan and anak daro which grown with organic farming system and conventional farming system. From the result of the research, equation of calibration curve amylose is Y = 0,0246X + 0,0146 with correlation coefficient (r) = 0,9984. Amylose content of Solok rice type of anak daro organic 28,90%, anak daro conventional 28,04%, sokan organic 30,32% and sokan conventional 30,94%. Protein content of Solok rice type of anak daro organic 8,79%, anak daro conventional 8,15%, sokan organic 8,50% and sokan conventional 8,25%. T value of each group is smaller than the T table value, it can be concluded that the result is not significantly different.

Abstract

Manufacturing of prototype of plastics film for a biodegradable packaging from a mixture of polymer synthetic polystyrene (PS) and polycaprolactone (PCL) has been carried out. Plastics film containing of PS/PCL created by blending techniques followed by solvent casting, the ratios were 100/0, 95/5, 90/10 and 85/15. The resulting of plastic film is a clear sheet with an average thickness of 0.03 cm. The biodegradation rate profile was observed by soil burial test method to see the weight reduction of the plastic films tested for a certain period of time. The results showed that the biodegradation rate profile increased with the addition of PCL with the t50% in the 100/0, 95/5, 90/10 and 85/15 ratios respectively being 352.33; 91.19; 71.97 and 59.85 weeks, and t95% in the 100/0, 95/5, 90/10 and 85/15 ratios were respectively 677.01; 177.32; 139.43 and 115.79 weeks. Furthermore, the number of microbes present in each gram of soil is 1.83 x 105.

Abstract

Papaya (Carica papaya L) is a very popular and important fruit in the tropical part where as a nutritious plant that can cure diseases. every part of papaya plants can be utilized start, roots, stems, leaves, fruit and even seeds of fruit. Traditionally papaya seeds can be used as a roundworm drug indigestion, diarrhea, skin diseases, colds, and as a source to get oil with fatty acid content. This research uses extract and steep seeds on papaya fruit with Escherichia coli test bacteria, Salmonella typhi, and Staphlycoccus aureus. From this research we get the result of inhibitory power : Escherichia coli at concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60% 80% and 100% were 8.72 mm; 9.53 mm; 10.61 mm; 10.99 mm; and 12.19 mm. Salmonella thypi at concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60% 80% and 100% were 7.07 mm; 8.63 mm; 9.54 mm; 9.78 mm; and 10.16 mm. Staphylococcus aureus at concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60% 80% and 100% was 6.4 mm; 6.8 mm; 7.8 mm; 7.9 mm; and 10.1 mm.
