Abstract

Sparrow (Lonchura sp) bird pest becomes a serious problem for rice-plant farmers when entering harvest period because it could make crop yields decreases or even crop failure. There are many method have been done for bird pest control but almost all of that are not effectives. Bird-like unmanned aerial vehicle is proposed as an alternative solution to control bird pest. The aim of this research is to do conceptual design of unmanned aerial vehicle which look like predator bird for bird pest control in farm area. The predator bird which means is black eagle (Ictinaetus Malaiensis) which is one of natural predators of small birds including sparrow. Conceptual design of bird-like unmanned aerial vehicle follows general design process of aircraft with some simplification. Method of design adopt to Raymer?s method and sketching of black eagle planform especially wings and tail. The design results an unmanned aerial vehicle look like black eagle with cruise speed  is 10m/s and operational altitude 120m above sea level. From aerodynamics analysis shows that bird-like unmanned aerial vehicle which have designed fill lift requirement at angle of attack  3o and longitudinal static stability criteria.

Abstract

The process of selecting scholarship recipients is a process that must be carried out in the context of providing educational scholarships. For the Navy, education is a very important thing in an effort to increase capability and professionalism in running an organization. The provision of educational scholarships for Navy personnel, especially in the environment of professional informatics, is carried out through selection of candidates' criteria that have been registered. Scholarship recipient data is processed to find the order of the candidates who will be determined as scholarship recipients. Prospective recipient data is considered by looking at certain criteria. Each criterion has a different weight. Based on the weights of each criterion, we can get weights that can be sorted according to certain priorities. For decision makers, many factors influence in determining a decision, so by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) method a sequence and grouping of prospective scholarship recipients can be generated from each method. Based on the calculation results, in the AHP data that was entered as many as 747 candidate data, in the initial selection process obtained as many as 107 candidate data whose profession is informatics. All candidate data can be sorted based on the calculation of the assessment of eight criteria and ranking, from rank 1 to ranking 107. For processing time, the AHP method requires a longer time, which is ± 3 minutes, weighting process ± 1 minute, and ranking process ± 1 minute. Whereas in the FCM method, with the same amount of data it takes around ± 5 minutes until the iteration is complete or until the difference in objective function is smaller than epsilon. For the grouping results, this FCM method found that 43 candidates (40.19%) were strongly recommended, 31 candidates (28.97%) were recommended, and 33 candidates (30.84%) were not advised to receive scholarships with cluster validation in this study was 0.604. Hope in the future can simplify the calculation process for ranking and grouping selection, because it is already a computer application that is easy to use, and is expected to accelerate the selection process.

Abstract

Nautical chart is a sea map made from paper and has a function to safety of navigation at sea as it provides vital information such as configuration of the coastline, depth of the sea, seabed nature, hazardous location, height and navigation aids. Sailing at sea and on the waters are not always safe as many navigational hazards threaten at any time, therefore the role of nautical charts is essential. Inaccuracy in estimating the number of nautical chart production has affected the amount of stockpiles in the warehouse, this is very inefficient for sales unit of Primkopal Pushidrosal. Consequently, the making of an appropriate forecasting model to predict the amount of stock in the coming period is expected to overcome these problems. The data which had been used in this research is Indonesian nautical chart sales  from January 2012 to March 2019 in the Java area  for 87 periods from January 2012 to March 2019 to predict the number of product requests for the coming 8 periods from April to November 2019, as the most densely sea traffic hence nautical charts in this area are the most utilized. The quantitative analysis of the model uses the Integrated Moving Average Autoregressive (ARIMA) method approach where the stages are from identification of model, estimation of parameter and diagnostic tests, because this method is good enough to predict short-term periods and is suitable for predicting the magnitude of any variable in time series data. Processing data uses Minitab 17 software and the results of the research showed that 87 of these periods where the data has not been stationer against mean, so it must be differentiated level 1 in order to be stationary and the ARIMA model is ARIMA(0,1,1) by equation  Xt = - 0.551 + Xt ? 1 - 0.85et? 1.

Abstract

Fluid dynamics analysis can be accurately approximated by using a computer-based numerical method. Rely on the mass and momentum governing equation, the mathematics model for the compressible condition is numerically difficult to overcome. Through an artificial compressibility method, the quasi-compressible condition solution can be simplified. This study will investigate the classical lid-driven cavity case model to affirm the artificial compressibility method. The result shows that the current model is in-line with the previous study for the lid-driven cavity case. A conventional benchmark with the previous numerical study is shown as well.

Abstract

Solar energy is a huge and infinite source of energy so that solar energy can support energy resilience. Parabolic solar cell reflectors use mirrors. The purpose of this research is to determine the thermal collector's power and thermal efficiency on solar stoves. This research methodology is by taking data with time parameters that have been determined according to environmental conditions. The subjects of this study were parabolic solar cookers with a diameter of 84 cm to 500 gram water. The results of the average stove power obtained by 141.71 Watt and the thermal efficiency of the stove by 5.45%. The power of the stove is affected by the difference in temperature of the water after it has been heated by the temperature of the water before it is heated. The greater the temperature of the water after heating it will increase the power of the stove. The greater the overall heat transfer Qm and the smaller the intensity of solar radiation on the reflector using a mirror, the greater the thermal efficiency.
