Abstract

To  and separate from military activities. So that flight activities more effective and can reduce the factor late arrival due to late landing. The technical problem is usually the plane will experience a delay can not predict how long the delay time and this factor also can not be in perediksi when it will be a problem with the engine, fuselage, landing gear, etc. So Line Maintenance personnel in the field should always be alert and responsive when things are going according to the maintenance manual. And always conduct appropriate inspection check list.

Abstract

Untuk menjaga kualitas dosen, institusi melakukan evaluasi kinerja dosen yang dapat berupa kuesioner akademik dimana kadang hasilnya bersifat subyektif. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan pengecekan konsistensi tingkat kepuasan proses pengajaran dari hasil pengisian kuesioner dengan data akademik lainnya dengan pendekatan clustering. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah aplikasi yang menerapkan pendekatan two level clustering dengan k-means dan average linkage clustering untuk mengetahui tingkat perbedaan kualitas proses belajar mengajar dosen menurut mahasiswa yang telah dikelompokkan berdasarkan data akademis. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model two level clustering dengan dua tahapan cluster yaitu  metode k-means dan average linkage clustering. Model ini digunakan untuk mengelompokkan data mahasiswa menjadi beberapa cluster berdasarkan data akademis mahasiswa dalam satu matakuliah sehingga data hasil cluster akademis dapat diklaster kembali berdasarkan jawaban kuesioner mahasiswa untuk setiap anggota cluster akademis. Hasil clustering level pertama menunjukkan jumlah cluster yang optimal adalah 2 dengan cluster yang terbentuk adalah mahasiswa dengan kemampuan akademis yang baik dan cukup, sedangkan jumlah cluster yang optimal untuk clustering level kedua adalah 2, dengan cluster yang terbentuk adalah mahasiswa merasa puas, cukup puas atau tidak puas terhadap proses pengajaran di kelas. Hasil interprestasi clustering akademik terhadap tingkat kepuasan mengajar dosen menunjukkan hasil yang sama diantara 2 cluster akademik.

Abstract

This paper describes numerical simulation o f flexible High Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (HALE UAV)wingusing two-way fluid structure interaction (FSI) method. The HALE wing is designed with high aspect ratio. This configuration intended to reduce the vehicle induced drag and reduces the lift-loss at wingtip which caused by wingtip vortex. But the structure of the wing itself becomes more elastic that be able to give large deformation when the aerodynamic loads applied. This deformation changes the aerodynamic loads distribution on the wing that gives a new deformation to the wing structure and vice versa. This interaction in a couple process called as fluid structure interaction (FSI). ANSYS 15.0 software was used to simulate fluid structure interaction on the wing. The unsteadiness and viscous flows at low speed are evaluated using the solution o f timedependent Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) with SST k-rn turbulent model. In addition, multiblock structured grids are generated to provide more accurate viscous result and to anticipate negative volume o f the mesh which may occur due to the deformation o f the wing during simulation. Five different o f simulations are performed with variation o f material characteristics including Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio.The results are global aerodynamic characteristics at various material characteristics.

Abstract

Potential flow over an airfoil plays an important historical role in the theory of flight. The governing equation for potential flow is Laplace’s equation, a widely studied linear partial differential equation. One of Green’s identities can be used to write a solution to Laplace’s equation as a boundary integral. Numerical models based on this approach are known as panel methods in the aerodynamics community. This paper introduces the availability of a computational tool for constructing numerical modelfor potential flow over an airfoil based on panel methods. Use of the software is illustrated by implementing a specific model using Hess and Smith panel method to compute the flow over a member of the NACA four-digit airfoils.

Abstract

The research is located at Kulonprogo Dome, Central Java and Yogyakarta Province. The aim is to identified landform unit at Kulonprogo Dome as result of geomorphology process recorded on Landsat 8 and SRTM image.This research was conducted by analysis and class division of landform at Landsat 8 image and division of slope class on SRTM image. Of the two image are supported by secondary data in the form of divison of slope class and genetic landform.The field observations can identify the lithology of the research area composed by clay-sand deposits, clay stone, tufan sandstone, andesite lava, and andesite breccia. The interpretation of the SRTM image illustrates the slope at Kulonprogo Dome is 0-2%, 3-7%, 8-13%, 14-20%, 21-55%, 56-140%, >140%. Interpretation of Landsat 8 image shows landform fluvial processes (floodplains, lakes), denudational processes (denudational slope and hills, denudational hills and mountains), volcanic processes (volcanic denudational hills)

Abstract

Increased need for air transport will increase the activity of ground handling at airports. Increased activity of this will affect the mental workload received personnel who carry it out. Any increase in mental workload will affect the occurrence of human error and affect flight safety. Analysis of mental workload ofpart o f ground handling personnel is very important to ensure acceptable personnel workloads according to workload capacity available. This mental workload research using NASA-TLX method, that the procedure uses a multi-dimensional rating, and divide the workload on the basis of the average loading 6 dimensions, namely Mental Demand, Physical Demand, Temporal Demand, Effort, Own Performance, and frustation. NASA-TLX is divided into two phases, namely a comparison of each scale (Paired Comparison) and giving value to the work (Event Scoring). The research objective is to ensure the mental workload of part of ground handling Adisucipto airport in Yogyakarta, in accordance with their capacity, so as to avoid human error and to support aviation safety. The results showed that the mean score of mental workload ground handling activities by PT. Gapura Air and PT. Kokapura Avia in Yogyakarta Adisucipto airport in the mental workload optimization group, which indicates mental workload received by workers are safe (no overload).

Abstract

The knowledge and experience in aircraft design, especially for glider or sailplane are very important to have. Today, process of designing glider developed so rapidly, especially in America and Europe, one of the significant achievement is the performance aspect of glider. For example, the German-built Eta has a wingspan 30.78 m, aspect ratio 51 and wing loading 50.97 kg/m2, with glide angle of 0.8 degree and 3 km altitude, the glider able to fly 213 km in horizontal direction. Therefore, as the first step to understand the preliminary design of glider, it is important to start with designing a scale model glider STTA-25-02_Sailplane. The goals of this design are to get geometry and configuration of the glider, to obtained stability of glider and to gain performance data that meet with design requirements and objectives data (DR&O). The conclusions from the preliminary design of scale model glider STTA-25-02_Sailplane are the geometry and configuration are good, for example the achivement in performance, the minimum sink rate 0.52 m/s, the glide ratio more than 20 at a cruising speed over 13 m/s, stall speed 11.45 m/s at angle of attack 0 degree. In addition glider STTA-25-02_Sailplane has static and dynamic stability, the static stability condition is indicated by the value of trim angle is positive 1 degree, curve of Cma and Clfi has negative slope, Cnfi curve has positive slope. The dynamic stability condition is indicated by the eigen value for each mode o f movement are negative except on phugoid and spiral mode, eigen value for short period -5.7681 ± 7.0010, phugoid 0.0403 ± 1.1136, rool damping -32.6243, dutch roll -1.0468 ± 3.4891 and spiral 0.1467. Positive eigen value on phugoid and spiral mode can be solved by adding a control parameter of the controlsurfaces.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, educational institutions are required to follow the development of information technology. Information technology required and can be applied as a decision support tool managerial activities at the college. This research aims to develop a decision support system for the Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Adisutjipto (STTA), namely the acceptance of new students, especially the path of achievement, using the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique of Web based, where in the method is choosing alternative criteria that have value and weight has been determined, getting the new students he deserves. Based on the results of testing the system, it was concluded that the method is Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique is effective enough to be applied in determining the admission of new students in STTA.

Abstract

Semakin berkembangnya teknologi, proses pemodelan dalam tiga dimensi saat ini menjadi jauh lebih mudah dari sebelumnya. Namun sebelum menganimasikan sebuah objek tiga dimensi memerlukan rigging secara manual untuk menentukan struktur kerangka internalnya. Peneliti akan melakukan eksperimen dengan beberapa skenario percobaan terhadap proses rigging untuk menghasilkan animasi kendaraan yang dinamis dengan memanfaatkan rigid body. Dalam hal ini implementasi rigid body pada rigging dilakukan karena rigid body sangat mirip dengan objek di dunia nyata. Memiliki gaya gravitasi dan gaya lainnya, seperti  bisa bertumbukan dengan objek lain dan bisa saling mendorong antar objek. Secara khusus sistem rigging dengan mengimplementasikan rigid body pada model kendaraan tiga dimensi yang digunakan sebagai masukan akan menghasilkan rigging yang dapat digunakan untuk menciptakan massa dan gaya sehingga gerakan animasi kendaraan tiga dimensi lebih dinamis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi rigid body pada rigging model kendaraan tiga dimensi menghasilkan animasi yang dinamis karena rigid body dapat disimulasikan secara dinamis berkaitan dengan kontak dan tumbukan, serta objek yang dikendalikan secara dinamis merespon gerakan dan tumbukan dengan benda lain.

Abstract

STTNAS building is a five floor building that located in the city o f Yogyakarta which is an area with a high intensity earthquake occurrence. The purpose o f this study is (1) determine the value o f the natural frequencies o f the building, (2) determine the index o f the resonance o f the building and (3) the vulnerability o f buildings to earthquakes. Research will be done by measuring the microtremor wave o f building STTNAS then analyzed using Spectral Floor Ratio (FSR). The analysis result is then compared with the classification defined in ISO 2002 on building resilience planning procedures earthquake. Fekuensi natural on the east-west component is 1.64 Hz and the north-south component is 1.644 Hz that is in conformity with the ISO 2002. Resonance Index o f building STTNAS is ranging from 31.00081 to 35.883% thus including the low category resonance during an earthquake. Building of STTNAS vulnerability index ranges are between 103,670.6191 to 82526.5357 with the highest value found on the 4th floor.
