Abstract

This study was conducted to measure the causal relationship among components building the intention of financial analyst working as an underwriter in using nonfinancial information disclosure as additional information on financial statements to make investment decision on securities.Survey research was applied. Questionares were used to measure and collect data. The classical path analysis was employed. The result of the study shows that subjective norm has positive effect toward attitude and attitude has positive effect toward intention of financial analyst working as an underwriter in using nonfinancial information insignificant causal relationships between belief and attitude, between normative belief and subjective norm, between subjective norm and intention.

Abstract

This study intents to examine the effect of role conflict, role ambiguity, job insecurity on the job satisfaction of educators accountants, and examine that result of this research consistent with before research by Ashford et al. (1989). Pasewark Strawser (1996). and Suwandi & Indriantoro (1999). The purpose of this research is find empirically evidence about level job satisfaction of educators accountants. This study is hopes to give contribution to the development university on the increase performance of educators accountants.The data were collected by distributing quetionaires only 181 paper were retarned completely and analyzed by using SPSS version 10. Sample selection method using purposive sample and snowballing. Hypotheses are tested using multiple regression model.The results indicated that role conflict, role ambiguity, job insecurity have positive effect and significant on job satisfaction, so hypotheses in in this study rejected. On the environment work of educators accountants not influential on reduction job satisfaction. The results study not consistent with previously research by Ashford et al. (1989), Pasewark, Strawser (1996), and Suwandi & Indriantoro (1999). Research in the future hopes can examine another wariable may be can influence job satisfaction of educators accountants.

Abstract

The importance of leadership to change management process is underscored by the fact that change, by definition, requires creating a new system and then institutionalizing the new approaches. While change management depends on leadership to be enacted, to date there has been little integration of these two bodies of literature. Thus the purpose of this articles is to draw parallels between the change literature and the leadership literature : specifically, the transformational leadership literature that is primarely concerned with the capabilities required to enact change succesfully.

Abstract

Since 1990s the good corporate governance (GCG) has becoming a part of critical issues, especially in the publicity held companies. In such condition, there is separation between principals and agent. The agent has opportunities to make decision that allow him to take advantages by principal's cost or agency cost. To minimize agency cost, principals build a control mechanism based on self-regulated and law. Corporate governance is mechanism to govern a company to fulfill shareholders interest. It consists of shareholder's role, board of commissioner's composition and role, board of director's composition and role, control mechanism, and reporting.

Abstract

Increasing of Capital Market in Indonesia Become interesting topic to be analysed. Capital market integration is one part of the topic that challenges to be researched. Economic crisis in Indonesia gives big impact on Indonesian Capital Market. In order to anticipate more impact of the crisis, in September 1997 Indonesian Government Liberated foreign ownership limit for stock at Jakarta Stock Exchange. Theoresically this liberated make JSX integrated to World Capital Market and the movement of HISG has positive correlation with international indexes. To know the real condition is the reason why this JSX and World Capital Market. Bivariate cointegration test between HISG and each indexes results ADF observed valu bigger than ADF table value for all cases at alfa 5% and 10%. This result has means that HISG has cointegreted with the the indexes and proofs the hypothesis of integration between JSX and World Capital Market is true.

Abstract

Kondisi persaingan bisnis perbankan nasional yang ketat saat ini menuntut perusahaan untuk berusaha memenuhi harapan konsumen dengan memberikan kepuasan pada nasabah. Untuk mengantisipasi perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi pada lingkungan bisnis perbankan, perusahaan secara efektif dan efisien melakukan re-evaluasi dan re-orientasi kepada kebutuhan nasabah sehingga perlu dilakukan pemberdayaan karyawan. Pemberdayaan karyawan dilakukan dalam organisasi perusahaan dengan focus pada penyediaan produk dan jasa bagi customer. Pemberdayaan karyawan pada dasarnya membentuk karyawan produktif dan berkomitmen. Pemberdayaan karyawan (Empowerment) melalui tiga dimensinya (personal, influence, self efficiency organizational relationships dan employee-customer relationships (Corsan dan Enz. 1999)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengarus dan support-based relationships terhadap empowerment di bidang industri perbankan. Sample yang diambil dari 5 bank-bank umum di Madya Semarang. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini secara kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi berganda sedangkan secara kualitatif dengan tabulasi data. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah kesuksesan pemberdayaan dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja dimana karyawan bekerja serta dukungan dari konsumen. Bagi perusahaan berkala global, empowerment dituntut untuk memberdayakan karyawan agar memiliki tanggungjawab dan kemampuan/keterampilan kerja yang lebih besar. Empowerment bukan hanya sekedar "memberdayakan" seorang tetapi juga merupakan sebuah proses untuk membebaskan seseorang dari struktur itu "lingkungan" yang kaku

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi struktur keuangan pada industri manufaktur di Indonesia. Model penelitian ini merupakan modifikasi dari penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan oleh Johnson (1997-b), Rajan Van Zingales (1995), Barclay dan Smith (1995-a), Homaifar, Ziets dan Benkato (1994), Berger, Ofek dan Yermack (1997) serta Ghosh, Cai dan Li (2000). Penelitian ini juga mempertimbangkan pengaruh faktor-faktor tersebut setiap tahunnya dalam periode penelitian.Penelitian ini mencoba untuk memberikan kontribusi pada literature mengenai struktur keuangan dalam dua hal. Pertama, data penelitian menggunakan sampel perusahaan manufaktur di Indonesia di mana kondisi pasar modalnya kurang stabil dibandingkan dengan pasar modal di Amerika Serikat. Kedua, periode saat penelitian dilakukan berada dalam keadaan yang tidak dapat diprediksi atau terjadi krisis ekonomi, hal ini berbeda dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan dalam keadaan yang lebih normal.Analisis secara cross section dilakukan untuk menguji hubungan antara sembilan variabel indeoenden (fixed asset ratio, market-to-book ratio, firm size, corporate tax rate, non-debt tax shields ratio, profitability, firm age, volatility memberikan hasil yang tidak konsisten pada delapan persamaan regresi. Sedangkan, non-debt tax shields ratio dan asset uniqueness tidak terbukti berpengaruh terhadap keputusan struktur keuangan.
