Abstract

This study explored the usage of internet for study enrichment and pleasure. Understanding online media audience was becoming increasingly important in Social and Political Faculty, because internet access was one of the academic source used by the student. Most of students did not have sufficient knowledge for self information filtering to provide realible materials from internet and various online sources that fulfilled the academic and scientific requirement. Small number of student explored some opportunities for getting academic  sources through internet, but unfortunately most of them did not have througly understanding to difer valid and reliable information for completing their academic tasks and research.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to identify the existing condition of the self-help energy village in Tanjung Harjo, Grobogan District, Central Java. The study found, firstly, it was difficult to change the planing culture from rice planting to Jatropa Curcus; secondly, it was brothersome to find the germ of the Jatropha Curcus; thirdly, for farmer it was not clear and uncertain about the economic prospect of Jatropha Curcus. It is necessarily had to investigate further research to answer, that the self-help energy village program unsuccessfully implemented comparing based on difference village and district.

Abstract

Woman in legislative still be debated until now, connecting both with quantity or quality. There still much negative perception which was not favourable for woman to get involve actively as a member of legislature. On reality, the amount of woman in Indonesia more than half of our population, so it was realistic if woman get more active in political process. The more woman in legislative election because of politics, econimics or socil constraints. Thus research also had proved that although woman have capacity, the path to get political office on legislative still be hard struggle, mainly because of high political cost should be paid.

Abstract

This research had been done at fish processing small industry in Krobokan Semarang. It aims to : (a) identify the profile of small industries, (b) identify the characteristics of enterpreneurs, (c) measuring the level of bussiness success, (d) examine and analyze the influence of enterpreneur  characteristics on the level of bussiness success, and (e) find variable which has dominant effect on bussiness success. Research conducted using the survey design. The primary data obtained through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. While secondary data was obtained by using documentation  method. Census method was applied with consideration of the number of small populations. The study concluded that : (a) the level of bussiness success is considerably good as shown on stable sales trend and slightly increased; (b) Personal Ability and Social Ability simultaneously have significant effect on bussiness success; (c) Social Ability and Personal Ability variable partially have significant effect on the level of bussiness success; (d) Social Ability has dominant influence to the level of bussiness success.

Abstract

Integrated Marketing Communications should always be considered as an integration communication process to target specific audience in a certain unique way. Therefore it was no longer about how to choose the tools and integrated it all through series of action but to craft the messages, tone, and manner which will be suited the target audiences expectation, need, want, dream, lifestyle. In short, all aspects of life as a human being. Consumers insight, compared to other segmentation criteria (geographic and demographic segmentation) provides more than just numbers and fact, but also in-deptth knowledge about the target audiences and their characteristic as a man. In-depth interviews, focus group discussion and brain storming are some methods that could be used to dig deeper into consumer’s life and portrayed them in detail. Consumers insight built from an understanding of facts or information, which can be seen from the statistic and demographic data, and intuition, which is gained througt in-depth discussion with the target audiences. All data collected from the consumers, which then will called insight, will be use to build a strategic communication patch that could specifically ‘talk’ to the audience and creat a long lasting emotional relationship between brand and the audience.

Abstract

PAD demands greater increased as more and more authority delegated to local government that accompanied the transfer of personnel, equipment, financing, and documentation to the area in large numbers. Equalization funds from the center would not be a mainstay continuously. With revenues expected  dependence on the central area is reduced. In this regard, optimization of local revenue sources were necessary to increase the ability of local finance. It required the intensification of the subjct and the object of revenue.In connection with the above problems, this study analyzed the local tax identification and Semarang City government  as one of its sources of revenue. In identifying who would do it, researchers would analyze the local tax which was not optimal so that still needs to be improved by intensification or extensification, this research would also provide any recommendations for efforts that could be done by the Government of Semarang in the intensification or extensification of regional taxes and levies area.The data required for this study were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation. Through these three techniques, research results were expected to be more objective or capable of describing the situation as it was. Primary data was done by conducting interviews with the competent parties to the topic under study for example the Head of Financial Management of Semarang or with the Head Office in connection with the management of regional taxes and levies in the city of Semarang.While the secondary data used in this analysis was the realization of Semarang city budget data of 2001 – the year 2006. In addition, also be taken aggregate data from the Office of Financial management (DPKD) City of Hyderabad as well as data from other agencies that had anything to do with local taxes in the city of Semarang.Tax Research showed street lighting was the largest contributor in the local tax penermaan Semarang city which is about 52.9 % in 2006. While the tax contributor to the smallest was the Tax Collection and Processing of Mineral C which was equal to 0.07 % in 2006. Viewed from the potential tax, objects and actually there were many taxprayers who had not managed entirely as expected from the regional regulation that govern, for example : Amusement Tax, Advertisement tax. While category C minerals tax and parking tax were still less than optimal in the collection, this was because in addition to taxprayer data difficult to quantify in real also very difficult to expect the mechanism of voting by self-payment.
