Abstract

This study aims to investigate the development of students’ beliefs about learning Arabic in Intensive Arabic Course program at IAIN Palangka Raya across the educational backgrounds and gender. This study used a quantitative research approach by combining cross sectional and longitudinal research types. There are 214 (two hundred and fourteen) new students in Academic Year 2019 at IAIN Palangka Raya as participants of the study. Data were analyzed by using mean, independent sample test and ANOVA. The results showed that 1) the new students studying in the intensive Arabic course program had a strong belief about Arabic learning 2) there was no statistically significant difference between the students belief about Arabic learning across gender and the educational backgrounds at the beginning of the Intensive Arabic Course meeting, 3) there was no statistically significant difference between the students’ beliefs about Arabic learning across the educational backgrounds and the gender after the end of the Intensive Arabic course program, 4) there was no statistically significant difference in development of students' belief about learning Arabic between the beginning and the end of the Intensive Arabic Course program. Abstract

Teaching materials are an important element in the learning process, especially in learning Arabic. These teaching materials can be taken from various learning sources. One of the learning resources that teachers often use is student worksheets. However, there were several errors in the Arabic worksheet entitled "Ilham" which was studied by third grade students at the Islamic elementary school level. This study aims to describe the errors in teaching materials in the form of worksheets in basic Arabic subjects. Therefore, this research is important because material is an element that cannot be negotiated. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data obtained through documentation. Then the data obtained were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model. The results of this study indicate that the errors in the Ilham Arabic LKS class III lie in the aspects of grammar, uslub, morphology and imla'. The number of grammatical errors was 29. Uslub's number of errors was 3. Morphological errors were 3 errors. Grammatical and imla 'errors amount to 4 errors. Keywords: Teaching mateials, error analysis, Arabic Learning, Student worksheet

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study is to determine the research tren for the development of Arabic teaching materials in year 2017-2020 of Postgraduate students at UIN Sunan Ampel in Surabaya whether this tren is consistent with the development of Industrial Revolution 4.0, which is linked by a system that unites the real and virtual world, or vice versa. The research method used is descriptive analysis research by collecting library data, recording and processing literacy data related to these issues. The results showed that research on the development of Arabic teaching materials to improve four language skills was ranked first as the most emerging research topic with a percentage of 0.6%, secondly research on the design of Arabic teaching materials with a percentage of 0.08%, third research on the Arabic learning curriculum for comparative studies and its development with a percentage of 0.08%, then research on the pedagogical and professional competences of teachers and their effects on student achievement with a percentage of 0.07%, then technology-based research for learning Arabic with a value 0.07%, research on the influence of the language environment by 0.04%, then research on the development of an assessment instrument of 0.02% and research on strategies, media, and methods of learning Arabic as well as book analysis research respectively ranked last with a percentage of 0.01% as the least frequent research topic.
