Abstract

There is one book that was famous in the 19th century, namely Sabilal Muhtadin, but now it is very difficult to find this book again because it is rarely studied. This book was written by 'Ulama Indonesia in Arabic Malay, namely Shaykh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari, a Banjari scholar who was born on 15 Safar 1122 H/19 March 1710 M and died on 6 Shawwal 1227 H coinciding with 13 October 1812 M. Purpose we write this article is to recognize and study this book again so that it is not lost. The method created is the method of literature with a historical approach, namely looking at history in relation to the author and the contents of the manuscript. The result is that this book consists of two volumes that fall into the category of Jurisprudence books with the Shafi'i mazhab which were famous in the 19th to 20th centuries. The full name of the book is Sabil al-Muhtadin Li at-Tafaqquh fi Amr ad-Din. This book was written because of the advice of the Sultan at that time, namely Sutan Tahmidullah who also liked to study religion. In 1882 M in Makkah at the expense and initiative of Shaykh Al-Fatani, a scholar from Pattani, this book was reproduced and printed. The second publication of the book Sabilal Muhtadin in Constantinople in 1302 H then the third time published in Egypt in 1307 H. World libraries that also store this book are Mecca, Beirut and Turkey. If you read the Book of Sabilal Muhtadin, it is rather difficult for the author to understand because the language style is not in accordance with the refined spelling. Because this book is an 18th century book, while the EYD only existed in the 19th century, namely in 1972.

Abstract

In understanding a good hadith, there are many scientific disciplines and methods that can be used, one of which is the study of hadith with accurate theory and methodology. So that textual and contextual approaches in Hadith studies also function in understanding the hadith discussed. With a textual and contextual approach, we know that a hadith does not appear suddenly, but because there are causes for it. The textual approach is more likely to apply to mahdah (pure) worship between human relations and God (hablumminallah) such as prayer for example. While the contextual approach looks more at the historical, sociological, cultural and temporal context of a hadith so that in understanding the hadith it is not so standard but it is wiser by studying the contemporary conditions of today's society without eliminating the spirit of the hadith text. Textual and Contextual approaches are very meaningful in the scientific understanding of Hadith

Abstract

One of the interesting Hadith scholars in the 4th century H was Imam al-Hakim anNaisaburi with his monumental work al-Mustadrak 'alȃ as-Sahīhain. Imam alHakim as mukharrij is interesting to discuss because of the many discussions and debates surrounding his personality, his works, and the methods used in compiling his Hadith books. Many discussions related to his personality debated whether he was a Sunni or Shiite theologian. As for the method or manhaj, is it true that he applied double standards in assessing Hadith, as well as the status of hadith in his al-Mustadrak as he stated using the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim which according to other scholars he did not fully use correctly, even considered there are still many shortcomings. Therefore, the author feels it is very important to discuss this matter explicitly and in detail so that there will be no confusion of understanding for us, besides that it will also add to our insights as academics in Hadith studies.

Abstract

This paper is presented to provide an overview of the methods of the Sufi Ulama muhaddisun in an effort to assess the position and role of hadith for Muslims as an Islamic scientific tradition. The methodology used in this paper is library research. Sufi experts acknowledge the method of transmitting hadith that has developed among hadith experts. Among hadith scholars, hadith transmission uses certain standard methods as seen in the hadith sanads. The transmission came from the Prophet and then passed on to his companions, then to the tabi'in, and so on until the mukharrij hadith (scholars who recorded hadiths). This is different from the hadith transmission system among tasawwuf experts who use the liqa' al-Nabi and kashf methods, which state that a Sufi, with a high level of spirituality, can meet the Messenger of Allah and narrate hadiths directly from him either through dreams or while awake. (not sleeping). According to them, the hadith obtained in this way is authentic even though there is no sanad in it.

Abstract

Living hadith is interpreted more based on the existence of living traditions in society that refer to hadith and its practices according to their needs. As happened to a friend who acted not based on the Prophet's shari'a because in the course of the hadith there will undoubtedly be changes and continuities where the changes are related to the application of growing knowledge. Living sunnah and hadith are not new, only the terms just use the new one. Living hadith is a continuation of what friends and tabi'in practiced in the past. Through the development of the study of living hadith, many methods have been used in its study.

Abstract

The purpose of this journal was made so that we can know the actions of the orientalists in criticizing the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, how the criticism submitted by the orientalists has various shortcomings and on that basis, we must see how the hadith among Muslim scholars occupies a very sacred position, so that their research on the validity of hadith is driven by the central role played by hadith as a source of law and theological doctrine. In contrast to western scholars (orientalists) or often termed outsiders, for them studying hadith is not based on theological doctrines but driven by historical interest. For example when studying Islamic law, they tend to approach it as a model of thought rather than a collection of rights, duties and rules. -cultural, although it is not evident from its subjectivity as an outsider. So for the reasons above we need to see how the orientalists criticize the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad

Abstract

The purpose of this journal was made so that we can find out how the two central figures gave fatwas and their ways of thinking regarding taklid in various religious issues. textually, both in the Qur'an and As-Sunnah, various kinds of scholars define ijtihad, namely devoting all abilities in seeking zhanni syar'i laws, within the limit until he feels unable to exceed his efforts , then what is the view of Shaykh Said Ramadhan Al-Buthi in matters of ijtihad or taklid that every person when encountering a fiqhiyyah problem, has only two choices, namely between thinking and doing ijtihad on his own while continuing to look for arguments that can answer, or taqlid following the opinion of the previous mujtahid. Ijtihad cannot just read one or two books, and even without a teacher who has scientific knowledge. If that happens, then the religious law will be damaged, whereas according to Shaykh Albani's view it is very combating the method of taklid, taklid is accepting whatever someone says, usually a scholar or expert in knowledge without questioning the validity of the basis of the basis of the law. Perseverance in the science of hadith causes Sheikh al-Albani not to be bound with certain sects. In fact, in principle, Sheikh al-Albani is bound by 4 schools of thought at once.

Abstract

Humans as social beings certainly do a lot of activities to meet their needs. Starting from doing activities that are primary and secondary. In addition, in carrying out their activities, humans often feel bored, lazy, bored and so on. It is in situations like this that many of them fill their spare time and holidays by doing refreshments, touring, traveling, and the like. And in this day and age, recreation, traveling has even become a job or profession for some people. The Holy Qur'an is one of the extraordinary gifts bestowed by Allah to the glorious Prophet Muhammad SAW in which there is a beautiful and unique language. One of the features in the holy book of the Qur'an which at the same time shows the miracles of the language of the Qur'an is the choice of diction in it.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss eyebrow embroidery in the perspective of hadith. This research is a qualitative type by applying literature study. The results and discussion of this study include an overview of eyebrow embroidery, a review of the hadith about namaṣ (shaving or plucking the eyebrows) and the relevance of the hadiths about shaving the eyebrows in relation to today's concrete reality. This study concluded that shaving the eyebrow hair is haram if it is completely shaved or removed, eyebrow embroidery or eyebrow tattoo because it can remove the original structure of the eyebrows and have a bad impact on health. This is what is said in the hadith to change Allah's creation. This research is expected to provide benefits for a wide audience of Muslims, especially women. It is admitted that this research has limitations in presenting the hadith related to Sulam Alis. This study recommends that further research be conducted on the hadith about Sulam Alis which has a correlation with contemporary concepts.

Abstract

This article discusses Friday is a glorious day, many hadith editors explain the special features of Friday, these traditions relate to orders to increase worship. On the other hand, there is a hadith which explains the privileges of Friday relating to death. This hadith explains the privilege of a Muslim who dies on Friday or Friday night will be free from the slander of the grave. This research method is included in the category of qualitative methods, by conducting source searches or library research, and using the maudu'i method, namely collecting hadiths that are meaningful with the traditions of the privilege of dying on Friday. and deviate both from the verses of the Koran and other hadiths. From the research process using the takhrij method, the hadith narrated by Imam Tirmizi, from the perspective of the sanad, is considered dhaif, but there is a history of Imam Ahmad who is a supporter, thus elevating the degree of the hadith to hasan lighairihi. Because the hadith has the status of hasan lighairihi, then the hadith is the same as the authentic hadith. Thus the hadith can be accepted and understood as a message to always ask Allah to die in a state of husnul khatimah, one of which is by dying on Friday
