Abstract

Understanding the history of the university/colleges, the roots of theu niversity within Islamic civilization provides a reminder of the moral mission of the university within Islamic societies but also should be taken seriously in so-called western debates about the normative nature of higher education and its cultural and institutional roots. Not  only is this influenceof historical interest but it is also critical to understanding the moral dimension to the history of the university and opens us up to engaging in dialogue over the very meaning of our higher educational institutions and their practices.

Abstract

This study tries to describe the epistemology of Irfani and formulate the Irfani method in Islamic philosophy.  In this study, the researcher used the literature review method. This study concludes that Irfani means knowledge, where this knowledge is obtained directly through experience (experiment) on religious spiritual reality. Irfani's development is divided into six phases: 1) The nursery phase. 2) Birth phase. 3) Growth phase. 4) Peak phase. 5) The specification phase 6) The decline phase. Irfani's methods andstages: a) The first stage, preparation. b) The second stage, the acceptance stage. c) The third stage, disclosure. Irfani in the perspective of Islamic Philosophy can be seen in the explanation of Muhyiddin ibn 'Arabi, who said Makrifat and this intuitive knowledge are not reached by reason and rational argumentation, but by divine guidance. Surahwardi does not consider that intuitive knowledge (read: irfani knowledge) precedes reasonable knowledge. The preamble of intuitive knowledge is the purification and enlightenment of the soul, which is a prelude to rational discussion, namely the science of logic.

Abstract

Reflective thinking can occur when a person experiences confusion, obstacles or doubts in solving a problem he faces. Basically, reflective thinking is a person's ability to select the knowledge that has been owned and stored in his memory to solve any problems faced to achieve his goals. The method used to obtain the data needed in this discussion is the Library Research method. The result is that as a source of value, the Koran is strived to continue to be understood and actualized in the daily lives of Muslims. In line with this, humans were created with full limitations. No matter how great a human being, it is not certain that he has actually arrived at the "correct" degree or position in understanding the text (Qur'an) desired by Him. For that reason, human thought must be treated as a human work that cannot be separated from its shortcomings. It is so complex to understand the text (the Qur'an) that a theory is needed in order to capture the enlightenment of Allah SWT in the Qur'an or the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad. Along with this, the practice of ijtihad was born.

Abstract

Thinking systematically (systematic thinking), means thinking about everything based on a certain method framework, there is a sequence and decision-making process. This requires obedience and discipline to the process and method to be used. Different methods of thinking will lead to different conclusions, but all of them can be accounted for because they are in accordance with a widely recognized process. The method used to obtain the data needed in this discussion is the Library Research method. The result is that to realize various scientific activities, scientific language is needed with its main elements, namely: concepts / concepts (symbols used to interpret phenomena), propositions (a statement (statement) about the nature of phenomena), theories / theories (a system of propositions). postulates or an integrated set of propositions), models (assembling a set of postulates or forming a system of propositions) and paradigms (sets of assumptions, both expressed and implied, that form the basis for scientific ideas)

Abstract

Systemic thinking is a way of thinking that looks at events in order from the simplest to the most complex. Examples of systemic thinking, for example, recognize the process of human formation starting from the womb, birth, childhood, becoming an adult, until death. While looking at human development itself is influenced by various factors, such as the social environment, family, and the food eaten; all are examples of systems thinking. The method used to obtain the data needed in this discussion is the Library Research method. The result is that ethical values are intended for humans only, other than humans (animals, objects, nature) do not contain ethical values, therefore it is impossible to be punished for good or bad, wrong or right. While aesthetics is more inclined to beauty and art that is seen by the eye. The schools in value are materialism, hedonism, utilitarianism, intuition, evolution and naturalism. From some of these schools there are similarities in looking at the good and bad of a life, but this school also has different views about the good and bad of a life. But in Islamic teachings to say his life is good or bad it can be seen from the revelations of Allah SWT listed in the holy book of the Qur'an.
