Abstract

The people of Keboansikep village, Sidoarjo city, which are predominantly Muslim, have mostly gone to hajj and have hajj degrees. The Hajj title for the people in Kebaonsikep is considered to have a role in the social status of the Hajj it has. The purpose of this study was to determine the community's point of view on social stratification in the Hajj title. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The source of the data for this research is people who see the phenomenon of social stratification in the Hajj title in the village of Keboansikep. This research uses descriptive qualitative data method. The results of this study are that the community is not taboo about this phenomenon, because from generation to generation people who have gone to hajj will get the title of hajj and generally will be in the spotlight in the village, but there are also people's perspectives that are against this phenomenon with their own reasons, so that it raises pros and cons in the community's perspective on Hajj in Keboansikep Village. The status of the pilgrimage has an influence on the social life of the people of Keboansikep Village.

Abstract

The main purpose of establishing a village is to meet the needs of the community that founded the village. In order for the community's needs to be met, it is necessary to manage the village potential properly. The purpose of this study was to determine the spatial system of the traditional Batak Toba village which includes the physical and social components of the traditional Batak Toba village and how the social system organizes the physical and social components of a village. This study uses qualitative methods to understand social phenomena. The results of the study indicate that a village for the Toba Batak community is a social order and system in which the community can interact socially, both between individuals and between families. The traditional Batak Toba village is autonomous and has authority. In order for the autonomy and authority of a village to continue to exist, a traditional Batak Toba village lives in a legal order. The running of the legal system is organized by a collective leadership in a village, this collective leadership creates a legal order and a place for community questions. In the event of a violation or dispute, the collective leadership is asked for consideration of the sanctions or penalties that will be given.

Abstract

The study used in this study is a socio-theological study, the sociological aspect that you want to examine, namely what are the social factors that cause the GMIT Elim Alaanglah Congregation to still maintain the sear afeser tradition and from a Christian theology perspective, it is assessed in the sear afeser tradition which is in line with the teachings Christianity This research uses a qualitative approach with the collection method carried out through in-depth interviews and observation. The findings of the data in the research are that the tradition of sear afeser is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation because it contains values of family unity and kinship, values of respect and cultural values. The sear afeser tradition contains sacred philosophical values through the symbolic act of holding hands to mark promises and commitments in building a once-in-a-lifetime household. The lack of understanding about the sanctity of the wedding blessing in the church is one of the causes of traditional marriage couples through the sear afeser tradition not continuing the confirmation and blessing of marriage in the church. sear afeser married couples understand that the confirmation and blessing of marriage in the church is only an administrative matter. For this reason, the church needs to proclaim a prophetic voice for couples who ignore the confirmation and blessing of marriage in the church so that married couples can reflect on their understanding and strengthen the foundation of their family life regarding the essence of Christian marriage

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini membahas tentang Proses Terjadinya Sinkretisme Dan Bentuk-Bentuk Sinkretisme. Pada umumnya masyarakat di Desa Pulau Rakyat Tua adalah merupakan etnik batak toba, salah satu sub etnik batak. Mayoritas penduduk di Kecamatan Pulau Rakyat Tua beragama Islam. Masyarakatnya juga cukup baik menerima kaum pendatang dari luar etnis. Terbukti di Kecamatan ini terbentuk sebuah masyarakat Islam dan masyarakat Kristen yang hidup bersanding tanpa ada satupun persel isihan dari dulunya yang mempermasalahkan hal-hal seputar agama. Pada zaman kesultanan, orang Batak Toba meninggalkan kampung halamannya dengan berbagai alasan dan tinggal di Sumatera Timur yang diperintah oleh beberapa kesultanan Melayu yang sangat fanatik terhadap Islam. Kondisi ini pada akhirnya menyebabkan terjadinya akulturasi budaya di Asahan pada masa kerajaan hingga sekarang. Fakta menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi akulturasi budaya antara budaya Melayu dan Batak Toba di Asahan. Dimana budaya yang kuat adalah budaya melayu dan budaya yang lemah adalah budaya batak yang dibawa oleh para pendatang. Karena tujuan migrasi suku Batak Toba ke Asahan adalah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ekonominya, maka mereka terpaksa atau tidak terpaksa harus beradaptasi dengan etnis Melayu Asahan. Itulah sebabnya orang Batak mengikuti etnis Melayu, sehingga terjadi pergeseran budaya. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah mengetahui hubungan sosiologis antara sesama batak toba beda keyakinan dan juga terhadap etnik lain di luar Batak Toba Muslim. Metode yang dipakai dalam tulisan ini adalah metode sejarah, yaitu pengumpulan sumber, Interpretasi dan yang terakhir adalah penulisan. Pada tahap Heuristik, penilis menggunakan metode lapangan.

Abstract

Awe-awe is a term for those who have the job of being a road guide for vehicles passing through the Gumitir route, Banyuwangi Regency. The steep road conditions in the Gumitir route area make awe-awe seem to be very much needed. Where this makes awe-awe activities widely practiced by the surrounding community. Initially, the awe-awe was tasked with helping and giving signals to vehicles that were about to pass the bend. However, awe-awe developed into a medium for begging and became a tradition that was passed down to the next generation. The complexity of the awe-awe phenomenon occurs when there is a privatization of space by the power elite which causes a reduction in freedom to do awe-awe. This research uses the perspective of Space theory proposed by Henri Lefebvre. According to Lefebvre, spatial space in modern capitalist society is a battleground that will never end. The purpose of this research is to find out the complexity of the lives of awe-awe actors in the contemporary era which has been colored by capitalist domains and privatization of space so that it has an impact on the lack of fulfillment of space rights by awe-awe actors. The type of research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The results showed that there has been the privatization of space in the Gumitir path area due to the process of land capitalization by the community and local government. This privatization of space also has an impact on the non-fulfillment of the space for awe-awe actors, which over time the meaning of awe-awe has shifted by adjusting the situation and conditions of the existing reality.
