Abstract

The development of garlic from 2012-2016 in NTB Province has reached an average of Erplae Tele Sutetle Sue Em Emphass Font Selet Paragrapn Syen tang The development of garlic from 2012-2016 in NTB Province has reached an average. which is 7.929-11.001 tons / ha. But in its development did not escape the interference of plant-disturbing organisms (OPT) such as the pest Ephestia cautella. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of the Ephestia cautella pest in several varieties of garlic in the Sembalun District Storage Warehouse. The method used in this research is descriptive method with survey techniques and data collection in the field at the farmer's warehouse in Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The results of the study found that the egg population in sanggah varieties was an average of 31.21, the average larval population was 2.15 and the average moth population was 1.70. The intensity of attacks with an average of 10.02% and an average population development of 29.85 tails. Based on the results of the study it is suggested that further research is needed on controlling egg populations using plant, biological, chemical, and mechanical controls. S WORDS

Abstract

Thosea monoloncha (Lepidoptera: Limacodidae) dilaporkan telah menyerang pada tanaman kelapa di Sulawesi pada beberapa bulan terakhir. Ledakan hama (outbreaks) pernah dilaporkan terjadi di daerah Sulawesi Utara (1988), Halmahera Utara (1999) dan kurun lima tahun terakhir di Pulau Tolonuo (2014). Regulasi menunjukkan serangga ini termasuk organisme pengganggu tumbuhan karantina dengan inang utama kelapa dan kelapa sawit. Serangga menyebabkan kerusakan secara luas pada daun kelapa baik tanaman belum menghasilkan (TBM) maupun tanaman menghasilkan (TM). Informasi mengenai biologi, distribusi dan potensi inang diulas berdasarkan literatur. Berdasarkan kajian, komoditas pisang dan jambu air berpotensi sebagai inang alternatif yang perlu diwaspadai penyebarannya.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketahanan galur-galur hasil persilangan tanaman blewah dengan melon pada keturunan F4 terhadap hama kumbang daun dan mengetahui pengaruh investasi hama kumbang daun terhadap hasil dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Perlakuan terdiri atas sepuluh genotipe yaitu delapan galur F4 (G1 – G8) hasil persilangan blewah dengan melon, tetua betina (blewah) dan tetua jantan (melon). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga diperoleh 30 unit percobaan. Data dianalisa menggunakan analisis keragaman pada taraf nyata 5 % dan jika perlakuannya berbeda nyata diuji lanjut mennggunakan DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) Galur-galur hasil persilangan tanaman blewah dan melon pada keturunan F4 memiliki sifat tahan terhadap hama kumbang daun dengan umur tanaman yang berbeda. Galur F4-3, F4-4, F4-6, dan F4-7 relatif lebih tahan dibandingkan galur lainnya. (2) Keturunan F4 hasil persilangan blewah dan melon yang dengan diinvestasi hama kumbang daun tidak menunjukkan perbedaan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kecuali jumlah daun. (3) Peningkatan jumlah hama kumbang daun pada tanaman hasil persilangan meningkatkan intensitas serangan dan sebaliknya jumlah kumbang semakin rendah intensitas serangan juga semakin menurun. Abstract

This research is aimed to study the growth and yield of several maize (Zea mays L.) in different growing environments. This research was conducted in May to September 2019, located in the village of Labuan Haji, District of Labuan Haji, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The method that is used in this research is experimental research by experimenting in field. The design used is the Split Plot Design which consists of two factors. Growing Environmental Factors (T) as the main plot consists of 3 levels, namely: organic fertilizer 15 tons.ha-1 + Urea fertilizer 200 kg.ha-1 + spacing 70cm x 20cm (t1), organic fertilizer 15 tons.ha-1 + Urea fertilizer 200 kg.ha-1+ Phonska fertilizer 250 kg.ha-1 + spacing (40cm x 30cm) x 60cm (t2), and organic fertilizer 20 tons.ha-1 + Urea fertilizer 200 kg.ha-1 + Phonska fertilizer 250 kg.ha-1 + spacing (50cm x 20cm) x 100cm (t3). Genotype factor (V) as a subplot consisting of 4 levels, namely: population C2 (v1), Lamuru variety (v2), Arjuna variety (v3), and Sukmaraga variety (v4). Each experiment was repeated 3 times to obtain 36 units of the experiment. The results showed that the genotype treatment significantly affected the growth and yield of maize plants except plant height. The treatment of growing environment has no effect on the growth and yield of the four genotypes of maize planted except the age of male flowers and the diameter of the cob. The interaction between the growing environment and genotypes also significantly affected the yield, with the highest yield owned by the Sukmaraga variety in the growing environment 2, which was 5.80 tons.ha-1.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of biochar, NPK fertilizers and their interaction on the growth and yield of lettuce. This research was carried out in Moncok Village, Ampenan, Mataram City, with a height of 20 m above sea level. The study was conducted from April to June 2017. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with factorial patern of 2 factors. The first factor was the type of biochar which consists of B1 (rice husk biochar) and B2 (wood branch biochar). The second factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer consisting of P0 (without NPK fertilizer), P1 (NPK fertilizer 100 kg / ha), P2 (NPK fertilizer 200 kg / ha), and P3 (NPK fertilizer 100 kg / ha). So there were 8 treatment combinations and each treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 24 experimental plots. The results showed that the interaction between biochar types with NPK fertilizer dose did not affect the plant height, the leaf number, and the weight of biomass per plant and per plot. The type of biochar did not affect the plant height and the number of leaves but affects the weight of the plants per plant, and per plot. The dosage of NPK fertilizer did not affect the plant height and the number of leaves, except at the age of 28 day after planting but had an effect on the weight of plant per plant, and the weight of plant per plot.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the general combining ability and special combining ability of the cross-dialel crossing results of several varieties of rice plants using the Griffing method. The study was conducted in technical irrigated rice fields, the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram in the Village of Nyur Lembang, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency in February to July 2019. The experimental design used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) using the dialel Griffing II method consisting of 4 elders and F1 crossing results. The results showed that the results of the analysis of the combining ability of four rice elders and the results of crossing f1 using the Griffing II method. Of the seven characters have a positive joining power.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the appropriate weeding time and its effect on growth and yield on several generations of mung bean seeds (Vigna radiata L.) planted in a dry land. A field trial was conducted from September to November 2018 in the hamlet of Amor-amor, Gumantar Village, Kayangan District, North Lombok Regency. The weeding times tested were: 2 weeks after planting, 4 weeks after planting and without weeding. Meanwhile, the seed generation factors were: foundation seeds, the first-generation of extension seeds and the second-generation of extension seeds. All the treatments were arranged factorially using a Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. The results showed that there was no interaction between weeding time and seed generation in affecting plant growth, but weeding time and seed generation affected crop yields. The highest yield of mung bean seeds was obtained from weeding treatment at 2 weeks after planting, while the seed generation that gave the highest yield was the second extension seeds. To grow mung beans of Vima-1 variety in dry lands, it is recommended to do weeding at 2 weeks after planting and to use the second generation of extension seeds.

Abstract

Orrin fertilizer is a fertilizer commonly used by farmers because it contains all the nutrients that plants, including okra plants, needed. This research aimed to determine the effect of watering, orrin fertlizer concentration and the interaction between them on the growth and the yield of ocra plant. The experiment was held from August to November 2019 at Dusun Lengkok Embuk, Desa Mamben Lauk, Wanasaba, Lombok Timur. The experiment was designed according to used was a completely randomized design arranged factorially (2x5). The first factor was watering (75% and 100% field capacity). The second one was concentration of Orrin fertilizer application consist of 5 levels K0=0 ml/L water, K5=5 ml/L water, K10=10 ml/L water, K15=15 ml/L water, and K20=20 ml/L water with three replications, and thus resulted in 30 treatment pots. The data was analyzed by analysis of variance at 5% significance level. The result of the experiment showed that watering had significant effect only on the diameter of tube 30 day after transplanting (hspt) and the concentration of fertilizer did not have a significant effect on all tested parameters. In addition, the interaction between watering and fertilizer concentration significantly effected the height of the plant at 30 hspt.

Abstract

The corn food commodity is one of the leading commodities of West Nusa Tenggara. In addition, NTB is also one of the target areas for increasing national maize production. This study aims to determine the yield yield of several varieties of maize given a mixed package of organic, inorganic and mycorrhizal fertilizers. This research was conducted from May to August 2020 in Midang Village, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency, Microbiology Laboratory and Soil Physics and Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Mataram University. The method used in this study was a randomized block design with 5 treatments, namely V1 (P8IS variety), V2 (P8DPP variety), V3 (Gumarang variety), V4 (Lamuru variety), V5 (Sukmaraga variety). Each treatment was repeated 3 times in order to obtain 15 experimental plots. The results showed that maize varieties given organic, inorganic and mycorrhizal fertilizers had a significant effect on growth, yield of maize, nutrient status and nutrient uptake, number of mycorrhizal spores and root colonization by mycorrhizae. Sukmaraga variety has better growth and yield than other varieties, this is reflected in the growth parameter indicators and yield parameter indicators, namely harvest dry ear weight per plant (271.5 g), dry ear weight per plant (255 g), length ear (16.5 cm), ear diameter (5.3 cm), seed dry weight per plant (180 g), and weight 1000 seeds (288 g).

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the influence of various kinds of manure on N and P uptake on Golden berry (Physalis angulata L.). The experiment was conducted in a plastic house in Terong Tawah, Subistrict of Labuapi, West Lombok regency. The experiment was set up using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments namely A0 (control), A1 (chicken manure), A2 (goat-manure, A3 (buffalo manure), A4 (horse manure), and A5 (cattle manure) which were repeated 3 times. The results showed that application of manures significantly affect fresh weight of stover, the dry weight of stover, N and P uptake. The application of buffalo manure tend to have the highest nutrients uptake.
