Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks diskusi siswa di kelas VIII.4 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja; (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks diskusi siswa melalui model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) pada siswa kelas VIII.4 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja; dan (3) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks diskusi siswa di kelas VIII.4 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah salah satu guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas VIII.4 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam membaca pemahaman teks diskusi dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran CIRC. Hasil yang diperoleh juga meningkat; (2) skor rata-rata siswa pratindakan adalah 68. Pada siklus I, skor meningkat menjadi 78,95, dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 82,5; dan (3) respons siswa yang berkaitan dengan minat, bakat, sikap, motivasi, dan tujuan juga meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II, yakni dari 44,07 menjadi 47,11. Peneliti menyarankan agar hasil penelitian ini dapat diterapkan oleh guru bahasa Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks diskusi siswa.Kata Kunci : membaca pemahaman, teks diskusi, model CIRC The objective of this research are (1) to describe the activity of the teachers and the students in the implementation of learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) to increase reading comprehension text discussion ability of the eighth 4 grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraj;, (2) to describe the students enhancement of reading comprehension text discussion ability through Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model of the eighth 4 grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja; in addition; and (3) to describe students’ respond of the implementation of CIRC learning model for increase the ability of reading comprehension text discussion of the Eighth 4 grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. This research was classroom action research. The subject of this research is one of Indonesia language teacher and the eighth 4 grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja. The method that were used to collect the data were observation, questionnaire test, and interview. The data were analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative analysis technique. The result of research showed that was (1) enhancement of teachers and students activity in learning reading comprehension text discussion process of the implementation of CIRC learning model. The findings clearly increased too; (2) the mean score of the students was 68. In the first cycle the score increased to 78.95 and more increased in cycle II to 82.5; dan (3) the student’s respond which related to their interests, talents, attitudes, motivations, and intensions also increased in cycle I to cycle II from 44.07 to 47.11. The researcher suggest the finding of this research could applied by Indonesia language teachers to increase the students’ reading comprehension text discussion ability. keyword : comprehension text ability, text discussion, and CIRC model

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan penilaian guru atas kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VII di SMP N 2 Sinagaraja dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan (2) mendeskripsikan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam melaksanakan penilaian kompetensi keterampilan menulis kelas VII di SMP N 2 Singaraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskritif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Indonesia kelas VII disekolah tersebut dan objek penelitian adalah penilaian guru terhadap kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan penilaian kompetensi keterampolan menulis. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah metode observasi, metode wawancara, dan metode dokumentasi.Data pelaksanaan penilaian guru terhadap kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VII dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia disekolah tersebut dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dan metode dokumentasi serta data kendala pelaksanaan penilaian guru terhadap kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VII dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara dan metode observasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskritif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan penilaian guru terhadap kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VII dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah tersebut menggunakan teknik tes, nontes (portofolio dan performasi).Walaupun penilaian sudah dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan nontes, penilaian tersebut masih berlangsung kurang maksimal karena memiliki kendala-kendala dalam pelaksanaannya. Kendala –kendala yang dialami guru kelas VII dalam pelaksanaan penilaian kompetensi keterampilan menulis siswa antara lain: (1) kesulitan dalam mengelola waktu, (2) kesulitan dalam mengelola kelas yang kurang kondusif, (3) kurangnya penguasaan guru terhadap sistem penilaian yang dilaksanakan. Peneliti lain hendaknya melakukan penelitian khususnya dari aspek kontekstualnya.Kata Kunci : Penilaian, Kompetensi, Keterampilan menulis This assessment is done to: 1) to describe the implementation of teacher’s appraisal over the seventh grade student’s writing skill competency at SMP N 2 Singaraja for the subject of Bahasa Indonesia. And, 2) to describe the obstacles faced by Teacher to appraise the seventh grade student writing skill competency at SMP N 2 Singaraja. This assessment is constructed using the descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this assessment is the seventh grade teacher of bahasa Indonesia. The objects are the teacher’s appraisal over the seventh grade student’s writing skill competency and also the obstacles faced by teacher to give the appraisal to seventh grade student’s writing skill competency at SMP N 2 Singaraja. The method used to gather all data and information to this assessment are observation, interview and documentation method. The data and information about the implementation of teacher’s appraisal over the seventh grade student’s writing skill competency for the subject of bahasa Indonesia were collected using the observation and documentation method. Meanwhile, the data about obstacles faced by teacher to appraise seventh grade student’s writing skill competency were gathered using the documentation and observation method. Descriptive qualitative method were used analyze all the data and information. The result of this assessment shows that the implementation of teacher’s appraisal over the seventh grade student’s writing skill and competency at the school were using a test and non-test. Even though the appraisal already done using test and non-test, the implementation is still not maximum yet because there were some obstacles. The obstacles faced by teacher to implement the appraisal to the seventh grade student are (1) difficulties in time management, (2) uncondcive classroom’s situation to manage, (3) teacher’s ability to master the appraisal implementation is still not maximum yet. Other researcher must conduct a special study of the contextual aspects.keyword : Assessment, competency, writing skill.
