Abstract

The study aimed at finding out (1) the effect of cooperative model with “tutor sebaya” technique and the helping of picture and picture towards learning achievement in communication and information technique of the students class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada, (2) students’ responses towards the implementation of cooperative model with “tutor sebaya” technique and the helping of picture and picture. It was a quasi experimental study employing a Post-test Only Control Group  Design. The population of the study were all students class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada in 2011/2012. The study involved a number of 81 samples consisting of students in class VII-D and VII-F. Class VII-F became an experimental group, while class VII-D as a control group. There were two different variables in this study, those are (1) independent variable: cooperative model with “tutor sebaya” technique and the helping of picture and picture, and (2) dependent variable: student learning achievement which can be definied by using descriptive statistic analyzes and also used the parametric Ttest. The findings indicated that (1) there was a significant  effect of cooperative model with “tutor sebaya” technique and the helping of picture and picture of the students. The average score of the students joining direct instruction was 32.49 with standard deviation of 3.96, and the average scores of the students joining cooperative model with “tutor sebaya” technique and the helping of picture and picture was about 37.75 with standard deviation of 4.52. It indicated that students joining cooperative model with “tutor sebaya” technique and the helping of picture and picture got higher scores than those a direct model, (2) the average value of students’ responses as about 74.35 and it shows the positive category through the implementation of cooperative model with “tutor sebaya” technique and the helping of picture and picture.

Abstract

This study aimed at: (1) designing the identification system of fetus genders’ at USG image, and (2) implementing the identification system of fetus genders’ at USG image. In designing and implementing the system, it was used three main types of operation methods, namely segmentation, features extraction, and data clustering. Input of these applications were image with extent bitmap (*.bmp), and its output is an information about fetus genders’. The test has been done on the entire image sample which has become a knowledge based. In the process of testing, it was initially needed the helping of an obstetrician in identifying the fetus genders’. In designing and implementing the application design, it was used a waterfall method which is usually called as a classic life cycle model. This is a classic model which creates the software systematically and sequentially that includes some stages namely: (1) requirements definition, (2) system and software design, (3) implementation and unit testing, and (4) integration and testing system.  The implementation and testing in this study was an identification system of fetus genders’ at USG image that were using a Delphi program. Based on the data of the performance system test about the accuracy of the system when identified the fetus genders’, it was found that until 66.67% could be identified well from 54 USG image sample. In this case, the identification system of the fetus genders’ was very helpful for obstetricians when they would be identifying the fetus genders’.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an application that can be used to segment theimage based on texture information using Lacunarity measurements. The method used incalculating Lacunarity is Differential-Box Counting (DBC) method which was firstintroduced by Dong (2000).Implementation of Lacunarity-DBC method on this application produces an applicationcalled "Lacunarity MAP" developed by using programming language Borland Delphi 7. Thisapplication is only able to process RGB and Grayscale images with Bitmap format (*. BMP),and produces output in the form of grayscale images. On the application of "LacunarityMAP" there are three main processes, among others : Lacunarity value calculation in any sizewindow, segmentation of Lacunarity values and edge detection. Testing is done by trying outvarious kinds of images by entering a few parameters such as : box, window, and region.These parameters which will affect the final outcome segmentation of the images. Based onthe results obtained that software testing "Lacunarity MAP" is able to provide maximumresults on several images to include the size of the box : 3,5,11 and 13, while the windowsize: 6, 8, 10, 16, 20 and 22.

Abstract

This study was aimed at: (1) designing the application of Interactive DistanceLearning based on web for the learning of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), (2)implementing design the application of Interactive Distance Learning based on web forthe learning of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). The learning of HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) have been developed becomes an interactive learning,and the communication able to happen among learners and between the tutor of HTMLit self.In designing and implementing the application design, the author used waterfallmethod which is usually called as classic life cycle model. This waterfall model is aclassic model which creates the software systematically and sequentially that includessome stages namely: (1) requirements definition, (2) system and software design, (3)implementation and unit testing, and (4) integration and system testing.The results of the analysis, the construction, the implementation and testing onthis study was the creation of an interactive application that support the HTML learnersto study the HTML learning without depend on direct meeting, that implemented byAdobe Dreamweaver CS3 and XAMPP version 1.7.1 . The implementation of thisapplication is high recommended run in Mozilla Firefox 11.0 and Google Chrome 19.0browser.

Abstract

This study aims at designing and developing an automatic greyscale image coloring application by implementing Global Image Matching. The input of this application is an image with bitmap (*.bmp) extension. There are two ways of coloring greyscale image, colorization and image sequences. Both of these ways have differences in the amount of the input and the output. In colorization, the input image that will be used is a greyscale image and a color image in which through this process it will be produced an output image. Meanwhile in image sequence, a greyscale image and three color images are used as the input and this will produce twelve output images. Based on the result of the study, greyscale image coloring application can be easily used in coloring the greyscale image. The software that can be used to develop the greyscale image coloring application is Delphi 2010 programming language.

Abstract

This research was aimed at: (1) developing audio-visual media in a course on applying special effects to the production object based on project based learning for XII students of SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja; and (2) studying the response of the students and teachers to the development of audio-visual media in a course on applying special effects to the production object based on project based learning for XII students of SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja. The subjects of the study were 29 students in grade XI of multimedia program of SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja in the academic year 2011/2012.This research was a research and development. The data collected were the students and teacher’s responses in a course on applying special effects to the production object based on project based learning for XII students of SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja by using questionnaires. The responsed data of students and teachers were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study show that students responses to the development of audiovisual media in a course on applying special effects to the production object based on project based learning for XII students of SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja was very positive on the category of 0%, positive 86.21%, 13.79% uncertain, negative 0 % and 0% very negative. The average score was 52.86. While the average score for teacher’s responses was 51. Thus, the students and teacher’s responses was categorized as positive.

Abstract

This is a research aims to (1) design and implement the development of learning media Microsoft Office Excel 2003 based website with a model of somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual (SAVI) on ICT subjects in the second half of class VIII Junior High School 4 Denpasar, (2) knowing responses of students and teachers of ICT subjects in class VIII Junior High School 4 Denpasar towards the development of learning media Microsoft Office Excel 2003 based Website with a model of somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual (SAVI). Types of research used in this study is research and development (Research and Development / R & D) with Dick and Carey model of development. The study involved students in grade VIII Junior SMP 4 Denpasar academic year 2011/2012. Data on student learning resource was is obtained by using interviews. The next product tested to the students through three stages, namely the individual trials, small group testing, and field trials. The subjects of this research trial consisted of 3 students for individual trials, 12 students for small group trials, and 35 students for field trials. Data collected in this study are data from the test material experts, expert test design, test media expert learning, and students from the trial. Validity of the learning media as well as student and teacher responses obtained using the questionnaire method. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The development of instructional media Microsoft Office Excel 2003 based Website using SAVI learning model suggests that the findings from the content of the material that is expert subject teachers concerned with the achievement of 91.4% is in very good category. The results of the learning media specialists with 92.00% level of achievement is in very good category. The results of the instructional media design experts with the achievement of 90.76% is in very good category. The results of field trials with the achievement of 93.14% is in very good category. Development of instructional media is in a category very well that this is worth learning media used in the study.
