Jurnal Ilmiah Dikdaya terbit 2 (dua) kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan April dan September. Jurnal ini mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian tentang pendidikan dan pengajaran, dan artikel yang masuk hendaknya bukan hasil plagiat dan belum dipublikasikan di tempat lain. Artikel akan di review oleh reviewer dan hasilnya akan dikomunikasikan kepada penulis. Abstract

Based on observations made by researchers, there are four problems that occur in the classroom, namely: the students are less enthusiastic in participating in historical lessons, students are less responsive when giving responses and answers, students are less active in asking and answering teacher questions and learning also still uses the approach teacher center. The method used is the method of researching classroom actions carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Jabung Timur class XII IPS 1. In the first cycle students have not implemented the brainstorming method properly but, after the researcher learned from the first cycle, among them the teacher provided motivation by giving rewards, and making media that attract students 'attention, the results are in the second third cycle, and in the four categories the ability to express students' opinions at a good level. Because students are enthusiastic in anticipating questions, looking for ideas or ideas, finding ideas and ideas, formulating opinions and proposing opinions in history learning.

Abstract

This research based from the low quality of science learning in fifth grade students of SDN 111 / IX Muhajirin Village. This is indicated by the discovery of several problems including the teacher is not optimal in guiding students to search and find the concept of learning material independently, so that students have not been motivated and facilitated to independently learn the subject matter with their own pemenuan, teachers are less guiding students in providing problem so that students are not accustomed to thinking critically and analytically, it is supported by low student learning outcomes data with classical completeness reaching 45%. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in three cycles. Each cycle is carried out in one meeting consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class V SDN 111 / IX Muhajirin Village with a total of 36 students. The results showed the skills of the first cycle teachers received a score of 25 with sufficient criteria, the second cycle obtained a score of 34 with very good criteria and cycle III obtained a score of 36 with very good criteria. Activities of students in the first cycle obtained an average total score of 18.9 with sufficient criteria, second cycle obtained an average total score of 26.4 with good criteria and cycle III obtained an average total score of 30.5 with good criteria. Learning outcomes of students in cycle I obtained an average score of 62.56, cycle II obtained an average score of 71.61 and cycle III obtained an average score of 78.22. The percentage of classical completeness learning outcomes of students in cycle I percentage 56%, cycle II percentage 78% and cycle III percentage 83% . So that it can be concluded that guided inquiry model assisted by audio-visual media can improve the quality of science learning in class V students of SDN 111 / IX Muhajirin Village.

Abstract

The learning process in the clasroom has been focused on teacher centered learning even though student actually also have the potential to gain knowledge independently. The implementation of learning the Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects has so far impressed that only teachers have extensive knowledge so that lectures and notes are a way of providing material to students. Meanwhile, to get the desired competence, the learning process must be supported by adequate learning facilities. Answering this problem, teachers as facilitators in achieving student competence are required to creatively manage learning. One way is to find alternative solutions, including by developing Modules for learning. The development of this module aims to encourage students to seek their own knowledge without having to depend on the teacher. The development model chosen is based on the Borg and Gall models. The development process is carried out in five main steps, namely: (1) Conducting analysis, (2) Designing the initial product, (3) Validating and revising, (4) Small-scale field trials, and (5) Large group field trials. Based on the results of field trials, the PPKn subject modules are very well qualified, meaning that the PPKn subject modules are interesting, according to the needs and characteristics of students. Furthermore, with the results of the large group trial which concluded that by using the PPKn subject module, student scores increased, this was indicated by the value that was above the value of the minimum completeness criteria. With the existence of the PPKn subject module for vocational students, in the future students will no longer depend on the material presented by the teacher in class, but are able to obtain their knowledge independently. Furthermore, in the future learning is no longer focused on teachers but is already focused on students. Then for perfection in the future it is better if the trial use of the module is more expanded so that the results can be a reference for teachers to prepare learning teaching materials.

Abstract

The problem examined in this study is the lack of maximum utilization of school libraries as learning resources. Focus of the problem: how to use the school library as a learning resource for students of SDN 111 / IX Muhajirin Village. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of school libraries as learning resources for students of SDN 111 / IX Muhajirin Village. The approach used in this research is qualitative. This type of research is descriptive research. This research was conducted from class I-VI SDN 111 / IX Muhajirin Village in February-April 2019. The subjects in this study were students of class I-VI SDN 111 / IX Desa Muhajirin, totaling 30 people consisting of 16 males and 14 women, homeroom teacher, librarian, and principal. Collecting data in this study using observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the use of the school library as a learning resource was not optimal. So, it can be concluded that the use of school libraries as a learning resource for students of SDN 111 / IX Muhajirin Village has not run optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the differences in learning achievement of speaking skills in Biography between class VII students of SMP Negeri 18 Jambi City who were taught using poster media with students who were taught without using poster media; (2) the effectiveness of poster media in learning biography on speaking skills of class VII SMP Negeri 18 Jambi City. This research is a quasi experimental study. The research design was a pre-test and post test group. The subjects in this study were all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 18 Jambi City. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique. The group consisted of two classes, namely F as an experimental group of 32 students and D as a control group of 32 students. The research data was taken using a test, namely the speaking test. The validity used in this research is content validity and construct validity. The reliability used in this study was Alpha Cronbach's reliability. While the research data were analyzed using t-test and gain score. The results of this study resulted in (1) the value of tcount> ttable, namely 2.314> 2.011 with df = 47 at the 5% significance level. The results of these calculations indicate that there is a difference in the learning achievement of students' biographical speaking skills between classes taught using poster media and those taught without using poster media; (2) the calculation of the mean gain score, the experimental class has an average gain score of 0.303 which is greater than the average gain score of the control class of 0.225. Thus it can be concluded that learning using poster media is more effective in learning biographical speaking skills for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 18 Jambi City.
