Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student mathematics learning outcomes. The influencing factors are inactive students and lack of communication between students and students. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the circuit learning strategy to students' learning outcomes in the cognitive and effective domains. This type of research is pre-experimental and the research design used is randomized control group only design. Based on the final test of learning outcomes obtained an average of mathematics learning outcomes in the experimental class 79.3 and the average mathematics learning outcomes of the control class 70. The results of the t-test analysis obtained tcount = 3.89 and ttable = 1.667 at the real level of 0.05. It is concluded that tcount> ttable accepts an alternative hypothesis (H1) that is the mathematics learning outcomes of the experimental class students is better than the control class. Analysis of the data in the affective domain obtained zcount = 3.83 and ztable = 1.64 at the real level of 0.05 thus zcount> ztable, in other words Hi is accepted meaning that student learning activities in the experimental class are better than the control class. Based on data analysis in the cognitive and affective domains it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the circuit learning strategy to student mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The focus of the problem in this study is to analyze the coaching process carried out by the Government and NGOs. The phenomenon of forest conversion into large oil palm plantations has eliminated the source of livelihoods of the SAD community, which largely depends on forest products. Transfer of land functions also caused some SAD out of their original home range and made SAD fragmented and formed groups with new identities. The study was conducted using historical research methods with a socio-cultural approach. The use of development theory is needed to support the writing of this thesis. From the results of the study it was found that the impact of the formation and effect of the conversion of forest functions which were used as large oil palm plantations and settlements of transmigrants during the New Order changed some SAD communities to shift their livelihoods, change their mindset, broaden their traditions and culture of origin and shape their origin a new identity. After entering the period of Regional Autonomy, the SAD people who were initially silent and accepted all the policies that came from the Central Government, now become a tough person and oppose all the injustices that were perpetrated by the New Order Government. SAD began to demand customary rights in the form of customary land which affected the next Government.

Abstract

This research was motivated because of the students of class VIII D of SMP 24 Jambi tend to be passive and challenging to be invited to be more active, creative, and confident. For example, students have not dared to ask if they do not understand. In addition to that, the studentswere silent and did not express their opinionsin a class discussion. Thus, the learning processof the classroom was less effective and conducive. One of the steps taken is to use the Time Token learning method. In this method, students are required to be more active in expressing their opinions and to be able to listen to the opinions of others. The purpose of this study is to find out how big the effect of the Time Token method can improve student activity and learning outcomes in social studies. This research is a class action research (PTK) with the class VIII D as the subject in the oddsemester. Data collection methodologies used in this study are experiment and observation methods. The collected data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in activity and learning outcomes in social studies subjects after using the Time Token learning method during the implementation of the action.The average activity of the first cycle was 69.82% and it increased to 88.42%in the second cycle. Furthermore, the increase in student learning outcomes that have fulfilled the completeness value was of 7.89%in the first cycle butin the second cycle there was an increase, which became to 92.11.

Abstract

This study aim to describe step of creative thinking processes in problem posing activity with IQ score below 120. This study was do in 9th grade Junior High School of Malang City with 3 subject who represent each category, are category 1 (IQ score 110 – 119), category 2 ( IQ score 100 – 109) dan category 3 (IQ score 90 – 99). The colect data instruments are TPMM and interview guidance. Interview is for eksploration creative thinking proceses of students when problem posing. The result of this study showed subjects of each criteria through only 3 steps creative thinking processes wich develop by Wallas, they are preparation, incubation, ilumination and verification. Preparation, subject commonly understand the givens.Each subject didn’t through incubation. Although subjects was doing other things that were not relating with the MPPT, subject still thought about the task. Ilumination, each subject got idea to pose the problem. Verification, subjects comonly check questions and answers by count twice or check numbers in questions, even check the senteces of the questions which pose.

Abstract

There are several factors that influence learning, including teacher factors, student factors, facilities, tools and media, and the environment. Educators should pay attention to factors that influence learning. The task of the teacher in the learning process, in addition to conveying information, also diagnoses learning difficulties students select teaching materials, supervise learning activities, stimulate student learning activities, provide learning guidance using media, strategies, and methods. Teachers and students are required to master the science and information technology of communication continuously. Teachers need to keep abreast of the development of communication information and science so that they can deliver the latest learning material that is useful for the lives of students in the present and future. The thing that stands out in Swishmax is that the work can be exported into the SWF file format, which is the file format used by Macromedia Flash. Therefore, swishmax animations can be played on any personal computer that has a flash player installed. Swishmax animations can be inserted into web pages, or imported into macromedia flash documents or even in Microsoft Power Point documents. When compared to adobe flash, Swishmax is easier to learn and use for beginners, because the tools available are more user friendly. From the description above it can be concluded that Swishmax is not only multimedia software that is only capable of creating dynamic multimedia, but more than that, it is capable of displaying multimedia that is very interactive.

Abstract

Findings from the results of the author's interviews with Indonesian language lecturers as well as level 1 students of the D3 Nutrition Science Study Program of the Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health in Padang are, students have not been able to write news, because of the following things. First, they have the lack of students' ability in writing. Second, students are less able to develop the elements of building news. Third, ineffective learning media used by lecturers. Based on the aforementioned problems, the authors think it is important to carry out classroom action research aimed at improving the ability to write news with serial images of students of level 1 of the D3 Nutrition Science program at the Health Ministry of Health in Padang. The selection of this serial image media is thought to be appropriate for learning to write news, because through this image media students are motivated because the media can be touched, seen and observed. In addition, the use of image media is thought to be easy for students to understand so students will more easily express their ideas or ideas in writing news. This class was chosen because the ability to write news in learning is low when compared to other classes, this is evidenced by the acquisition of the results of the writing test exposition of semester I of the academic year 2017/2018. The type of this research is classroom action research with the research subject level 1 of the Nutrition D III Study Program with 39 students. The research was carried out in semester 2 of the 2018/2019 school year. Data collection tools used were student activity observation sheets and final tests. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive and analysis of learning outcomes. This research consisted of two cycles and each cycle was held twice. The results of the study in each cycle are pre-cycle with an average value of 70.87 students, the first cycle with an average value of 86.46 students and the second cycle 93.74, this shows student activity tends to increase. Furthermore, it was concluded that lectures on learning to write news with serial image media can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in level 1 of the D III Nutrition Study Program of the Health Ministry of Health in Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development and influence of minimum wages and inflation on the number of poor people in Jambi province in 2001-2015. The method used in this study is the multiple linear regression analysis method with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach. The analytical tool used in this study was SPSS 23. In analyzing the factors that influence poverty in Jambi Province, the results show that the analysis for the analysis of the F test and the t test can be seen that the influence of the independent variable (Minimum Wage and Inflation) on the Number of Poor Populations in Jambi province simultaneously or together (F Test) affects the number of poor people. The calculated F value and F table 51.194> 3.89), with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05, there is a significant positive effect. For the t test of the minimum wage variable the value of t is calculated with t table of 7, 373> 2.170. The level of significance of the minimum wage variable (X1) is 0,000 <0.05 and for the t test of the inflation variable is 0.218 <2.17. The significant level of inflation variable (X2) is 0.831> 0.05.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the symptoms of students' unwillingness to answer questions about the lessons given, it is caused by the unwillingness of students to memorize the subject matter and visit the library to read. Through this research will be revealed the relationship of interest in reading to student achievement in social studies subjects and at what level the relationship of the most dominant reading interest felt by students towards their learning achievement in social studies subjects. The relationship of reading interest that is intended in this study is limited to the influence, contribution and benefits of reading fondness towards learning achievement in social studies subjects felt by students in school, reading interest is a motivating force that encourages students to focus their attention on reading activities is very large towards learning achievement, in social studies subjects. So it is assumed students will have a great interest in reading as well. The research was conducted at 38 Negeri IX Jambi Kecil Elementary School on 52 class IV, V and VI students selected as a research sample, namely 50% of 104 population students. Data collection techniques used in this study were using a questionnaire consisting of 39 items given directly to 52 respondents as research samples. Questionnaire test results are administered as a group and analyzed using percentage techniques. Based on the results of the study revealed that: Classification of interest in reading social studies books students is an average of 72.15%. From this data it can be concluded that the classification of the most dominant reading interests is at a high level. 1) Classification of student achievement is in social studies subjects are at an average of 7.19 from this data it can be concluded that the classification of student achievement is the most dominant is at a high level. 2) The relationship of interest in reading social studies books on student achievement in social studies subjects is moderate, namely 0.638. This means that the correlation is adequate. The conclusions from the results of the study indicate that there is an adequate relationship between interest in reading social studies books and student achievement in social studies subjects at SD Negeri No. 38 / IX Small Jambi. So to all parties responsible for increasing interest in reading students, especially elementary school students No. 38 / IX Jambi Minor should motivate students to increase their interest in reading. Because the relationship of reading interest felt by students towards learning achievement in social studies subjects will be more meaningful if followed by real activities.

Abstract

One of the rules of grammar carries out important rule that is using simple linking be. Linking Be shows existence or, as the case may be, nonexistence. This research was aimed to find out the students’ problems in completing sentence by using linking be at first grade of SMPN 1 Kerinci Academic Years 2018/2019 and the causes of the students’ problems in completing sentence by using linking be at first grade of SMPN 1 Kerinci Academic Years 2018/2019. The design of this research was descriptive research. The population was at the grade VII students of SMPN 1 Kerinci. There were 156 students which consisted of 7 classes as the population. This population was tested by using Bartlett test to make homogeneity. Then, the sample was VII B. The instruments were given grammar test in multiple choices as quantitative data and took interview as qualitative data. Moreover, it was also proven by the result of the total percentage of the students. There were 47% students who got very good, 26% students got good, 21.7% students got fair, 4.3% got weak and no student got poor  And mean score of the students was 75.6. Based on interview to students, there were some problems faced by the students’ in completing sentence by using linking be. They only made mistake in some cases. But they have learned and known which one to be is when they were asked to make sentence. Based on the result of data analysis, it was concluded that generally the students’ students’ problems in completing sentence by using linking be at first grade of SMPN 1 Kerinci was good.

Abstract

Searching for the Malay kingdom which is related to the  manuscripts originated  mostly from Chinese records which is evidenced   that  Jambi Malay  ever triumphed and connected to Tiongkok in the past. Other data that can support the manuscripts of the ancient of Jambi Malay in classical times, in Jambi Malay land the government system was carried out from generation to generation in a royal family which was respected by the wider community. Almost all the Malay manuscripts were written in Jawi letters (the Malay letters = the Bald Arabic letters), could be predicted that the writing of Malay manuscripts were started around 14th century. Meanwhile the previous Malay manuscripts were written in Jawi letters, and were suspected before Islam came to Indonesia. By finding Tanjung Tanah manuscript proved that Malay people had pre-Islamic manuscript tradition. In that era, the manuscripts  were also written on the bark, reed, palm leaf, and horn. Generally, the manuscripts contain the local chronics, tradition, religion, correspondences, king’s documents,  languages and arts, tasauf / philosophy, education and even medicines. If we see from the writing, it is clear that the substitution of the writing that from oral tradition to written tradition. Jambi  province has many interesting goods, related to the ancient manuscripts which were  only a small portions that had been recorded and saved in the museum. While the most part portions still saved by the people. The result of the research showed the manuscript elements I; (1) Kerinci was under controlled by Jambi kingdom at that time, (2) Islam could not be accepted generally and Syari’a law in Kerinci land did not work well. Manuscript element II (1)  the emptiness position as a king in Jambi, the coming of Princess Selaras Pinang Masak  became a king in Ujung Jabung, the story of Ahmad Salim from  Sultan Turki’s descendent whose ship broke up and stranded in Berhala island, and the story of Ahmad Salim’s wedding titled Datuk Paduko Berhalo with Princess Selaras Pinang Masak was the beginning of the growth of Islam in Jambi. Manuscript element III (1) Orang Kayo Hitam was the youngest child of Princess Selaras Pinang Masak  with Datuk Paduko Berhalo, he graced much the story of Jambi from the beginning of Islam era that grew in Jambi. When he was adult, he saw the suffering of his people collecting funds to be offered to Mataram kingdom as a tribute. In this case, Orang Kayo Hitam did not agree what his people did, (2) Orang Kayo Hitam wished to be killed, but the plan of  King Mataram had been known by Orang Kayo Hitam, so he went alone to Java island to see the situation and would take back the Keris itself from King Mataram’s  hand. He disguised himself as he arrived in Java island and after learning its condition, with all of his ingenuities, Orang Kayo Hitam could know the place of where the Keris made. He killed the blacksmith and took that Keris, (3) King Mataram asked for peace, as a sign of the friendship of Orang Kayo Hitam whom marrried with one of his princess that is Ratumas Pemalang. Orang Kayo Hitam brought along that Keris in his hand, that was also announced that Keris named Keris Siginjai. Manuscript element IV; (1) Orang Kayo Hitam in his married with Ratumas Pemalang had four children, they were Penambahan Ratu Kapas, Penambahan Rengas Pandak, Penambahan Bawah Sawo, and Penambahan Kota Baru, (2) in Sahibul Hikayat / Sahibul Saga, they used Panambahan as their title, where the title was  usually used by the kingdom of Mataram. The use of the name was because there was a marriage relationship between Orang Kayo Hitam with Ratumas Pemalang, a daughter of King Mataram.
