Abstract

The purpose of this research to find a suitable dose of ab mix for pagoda mustard plant, has been carried out on Jalan Sukakarya, Sukarami, Palembang. The trial was conducted in October to December 2019 who have used a perfectly randomized design method is a single factor group with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Each treatment consisted of 3 plant so there was 20 and a total of 60 plants. This was the dose of AB mix fertilizer (D), namely D1 = 850 ppm, D2 = 1050 ppm, D3 = 1250 ppm, D4 = 1450 ppm, and D5 = 1650 ppm. The observed parameters were plant height, root length, and wet basis, measured at the end of the study. The results showed that the highest yield of D3 treatment was obtained at root length and plant wet basis respectively of 15.77 cm and 149.97 g and the highest yield of D4 treatment was obtained on plant height parameters of 12.91 cm, and the lowest yield was very significant in D5 respectively 9.24 cm, 9.57 cm and 112.50 cm

Abstract

A specimen of Dempo Paris Peacock Papilio paris dempo Okano, 1988 (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera: Papilionidae) has been caught and collected on 5 February 2020 in lower Dempo mountain, South Sumatra province, Indonesia. This butterfly was preserved for a scientific purpose, and the specimen deposited to biological museum of Department of Biology of Sriwijaya Unversity, with collection number Musbio/En/Coll.02.05022020. After preserved, the specimen was immediately identified using selected references. Recent finding of P. paris dempo is a rediscovery for this rare and endemic butterfly in  its habitat after 32 years break (1988 to 2020). Based on this specimen, status of P. paris dempo is revisited.

Abstract

Angka Partisipasi Sekolah (APS) merupakan proporsi jumlah anak sekolah pada suatu jenjang pendidikan tertentu dalam kelompok usia yang sesuai dengan jejang pendidikan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi angka partisipasi sekolah selama tiga tahun kedepan, sehingga angka prediksi ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pertimbangan pengambilan keputusan baik bagi pemerintah maupun selain pemerintah yang berkaitan langsung terhadap pendidikan demi terjadinya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Provinsi Banten. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode numerik yaitu interpolasi lagrange berbantuan software Matlab R2013a untuk mendapatkan hasil prediksi angka partisipasi sekolah (APS). Dari penelitian ini, setelah diperoleh model prediksi APS, maka selanjutnya diprediksi APS tiga tahun kedepan setelah tahun 2019. Hasil prediksi yang didapatkan setelah dilakukan simulasi yaitu pada angka partisipasi sekolah usia 13-15 tahun didapatkan hasil prediksi untuk tahun 2020, 2021, dan 2022 secara berturut-turut yaitu 96,76; 97,63; dan 98,51. Pada angka partisipasi sekolah usia 16-18 tahun didapatkan hasil prediksi untuk tahun 2020, 2021, dan 2022 secara berturut-turut yaitu 69,11; 69,51; dan 69,90. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan angka partisipasi sekolah dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya.

Abstract

Graphs that have odd harmonious labeling properties are called odd harmonious graphs. The purpose of this study to obtain a new graph class construction with its properties, but also to prove that the new graph class has odd harmonious labeling properties. The research  method  used  consisted  of  several  steps  namely  data  research  preparations, research  investigations and  verification  of results. The  results  of  this study,  we  will provide a construction of a new graph class, that is, the pleated net snake graph and its properties.  Furthermore,  it  will  be  proven  that  the  pleated  net  snake  graph  has  odd harmonious labeling properties, so that the pleated net snake graph is an odd harmonious graph.

Abstract

Semi Ex-Situ Habitat (HSE) Pond is a pond that is designed for spawning native fish in Lake Maninjau, particularly in Bada fish (Rasbora argyrotaenia) in semi ex situ condition. This study aims to determine the benthic macroinvertebrates colonization in HSE ponds. The source of the water came from Lake Maninjau and the springs nearby. The study was conducted in August, October, and November 2018. Benthic macroinvertebrates samples were taken from some artificial substrate stainless steel- wire mesh (the size are 20 cm x 20 cm, mesh size 30), which was placed at the bottom of the ponds for 20—30 days. The result shows that there are five classes of benthic macroinvertebrates in an HSE pond with the water springs and HSE pond with the water of Lake Maninjau. Chironomidae was the most abundant Family in both the springs-HSE pond and the lake Maninjau-HSE pond. The abundance of benthic macroinvertebrates in these two ponds respectively, are 2207 individuals/m2 and 4138 individuals/m2. The Shanon-Wiener diversity index value is low, they are 0,38 in the springs-HSE pond and 0,29 in the  lake Maninjau-HSE pond. The Bray Curtis similarity index values in those two HSE Ponds ranged from 47% to 63%, furthermore its categories from “not similar to similar”.

Abstract

Lime or Citrus aurintifolia (CA) is a type of medicinal plant that has long been used by local communities in Indonesia. Besides being used as traditional medicine, the fruit is also used for a variety of food or drinks. The use of plants as traditional medicine is related to the bioactivity and content of secondary metabolites. This study aims to explain the relationship between the use of CA as traditional medicine and its bioactivity. The method used is a literature review published online on Google Scholar and also scientific journals about CA using CA keywords, CA uses, and CA biaoctivities, then synthesized so as to obtain comprehensive information. In ethnobotany CA is used to treat fever, sauna ingredients, cough medicines, to increase stamina, overcome hypertension, and anti-cholesterol. Various researchers have successfully demonstrated the bioactivity of CAs which are anticholesterol, antimicrobial, antioxidant, antihypertension, antiosteoporosis and anticancer. Essential oils found in the leaves and fruit are compounds responsible for their bioactivity. The ability of CA as an antimicrobial can be very potential to be developed for health as well as a natural food preservative.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity index of plankton in the Komering River Serdang Menang Village, Sirah Pulau Padang District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency.  This research was conducted in March until April 2018 in the Komering River in Serdang Menang Village, Sirah Pulau Padang District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Sampling method uses Purposive Random Sampling which consists of 3 observation stations, namely: station 1 sand mining area, station 2 floating net cage fish farming area and station 3 densely populated area. The results of the study found that the composition of plankton in the Komering River in Serdang Menang Village, Subdistrict of Sirah Pulau Padang in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency consisted of 3 phytoplankton classes, namely Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae and Cyanophyceae, while the zooplankton class consisted of 4 classes, namely Mastigophora, Monogononta, Crustacea and Ciliophora. The highest diversity index for phytoplankton was obtained at stasion 1 in the sand mining area with a value of 1,39, which indicates that the level of diversity is included in the mediun category. At zooplankton the highest diversity indev was found at station 3 with a value of 0,33 which indicates that the level of diversity is included in the low category. While the highest dominace index in phytoplankton was found in station 3 in densely populated areas with a value of 0,43 while in zooplankton it was found in stasion 1 in the sand mining area with a value of 0,00563, both value indicate that there is no genus of plankton that dominates in the area.

Abstract

The Palembang city still has several locations for Final Disposal Sites, one of which is located in Sukarame District. Sukawinatan landfill began operations in 1994 with a land area of 25 hectares and has been used 15 hectares, the remaining 10 hectares of land is estimated to be able to accommodate waste until 2028. In some part, groundwater is still used for daily life originating from groundwater, especially in RT 68, which is used for domestic needs such as bathing, brushing teeth, washing clothes, washing utensils, and cooking. The results showed that based on the physical parameters it was concluded that 5 odor samples fulfilled the requirements, 5 taste samples fulfilled the requirements, 4 samples of dissolved solids met the requirements, 3 turbidity samples fulfilled the requirements, and 5 temperature and color samples met the requirements. Based on the chemical parameters it was concluded that the five samples did not exceed the maximum permissible levels except for pH parameters. Based on organic chemical parameters it is concluded that all samples meet the criteria of organic chemistry. The water quality index of all good samples is very good.

Abstract

This article discusses the application of graph colouring to the placement of students room. The sample data used is the data of prospective students resident ofInstitut Teknologi Sumatera. The graph colouring process in this article utilizes the Welsh-Powell algorithm and related algebraic theories to facilitate the data processing. The process is carried out to find out the minimum number of rooms needed to place a number of students so that there are no students come from the same study program or UKT group in one room. ABSTRAK Artikel ini membahas aplikasi pewarnaan graf pada penempatan kamar mahasiswa. Sampel data yang digunakan adalah data calon mahasiswa penghuni asrama Institut Teknologi Sumatera. Proses pewarnaan graf pada artikel ini memanfaatkan algoritma Welsh-Powell dan teori aljabar terkait untuk mempermudah proses pengolahan data. Proses tersebut dilakukan untuk mengetahui jumlah minimum kamar yang dibutuhkan untuk menempatkan sejumlah mahasiswa sehingga tidak ada mahasiswa yang berasal dari program studi atau pun golongan UKT yang sama dalam satu kamar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Cane is one of the plantation commodities managed as raw material for making sugar. PT. Cinta Manis as one of the sugar producers has sugarcane production and management activities on a large scale. Production of sugar with raw material in large quantities every day, produces a by-product of sugarcane bagasse waste. Currently sugarcane bagasse waste is only used as compost after going through several stages of processing. The study was conducted in a laboratory by physically changing cane bagasse to ash through burning. Furthermore, the ash from the sugarcane bagasse was added to high quality concrete K-300. The results of the laboratory tests carried out showed that the addition of Cane Bagasse Ash (CBA) by 5% can increase the compressive strength of the concrete 6.43% higher than the normal compressive strength of the concrete. However, the addition of CBA which is greater than 5% to the cement in the concrete actually decreases the quality of the compressive strength of the concrete. This means that the 5% CBA content can be used to increase the compressive strength of concrete.
