Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch on the diversity of predatory arboreal ants (Hymenoptera:Formicidae) in oil palm plantations SPPN Sembawa Banyuasin conducted in September to October 2010. This research used the temple of traps. Identification results of research conducted at the Laboratory Department of Biology Faculty of Mathematics and Science University of PGRI Palembang and the Faculty Tarbiyah State Islamic Institute Raden Fatah Palembang. The results obtained by 349 individuals, consisting of 7 species, 5 genera, and 3 subfamilia. Species that have a relative density and the highest relative frequency of either catching the morning andlate afternoon is Oeccophylla sp 1. Diversity of predatory arboreal ants index gained on oil palm plantations in the capture of the morning was 1.054, while the afternoon was 1.038. Community similarity index gained 83%, predatory arboreal ants community showed 83% caught in the morning, also caught in the afternoon.Key words: diversity, ants predatory, arboreal, community similarity

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was backed by the amount of protein content in wheat leaves of Moringa (M. oleifera Lamk.) is 27.10 grams and moringa leaf is also a kind of plant that can be a source of protein for growing cattle feed, including one of which is the tilapia (O. niloticus Linn.) . Provision of moringa leaf powder in the formula feed can be integrated with other raw materials, namely rebon flour, fine bran, and wheat flour. The results showed that the using of Moringa leaf powder in the feed formula is veryreal effect on the growth of length and weight of tilapia (O. niloticus Linn.).Key words: Feed, moringa leaf powder, the growth of tilapia (O. niloticus Linn.)

Abstract

ABSTRACTInvestigation on lethal effect of leaf fowder of Nerium oleander to nile tilapia fingerlings was conducted on May 2011 in Hydrobiology laboratory of Research Instute for inland Fisheries.Static bioasays was carried out using 9 glass aquariums filled with 10 liters of test media and 10 Nile tilapia fingerlings were exposed into each aquarium.The results shows that leaf fowder of Nerium oleander were toxic to fish with 24 h, 48 h and 96h LC50 were 195.39 ppm, 51.22 ppm and 28.70 ppm respectively.Key words: Static bioasays, Nerium oleander, Oreochromis niloticus

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research about Pathogenity of fungus Beauveria bassiana Vuill. forCoffea berry bore Hypothenemus hampei Ferr. (Coleoptera: Scolytidae) in July until December 2009 at Microbiology Laboratory of Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science, University of Sriwijaya, Inderalaya. This research was aimed to know about Pathogenity of fungus Beauveria bassiana Vuill. to coffeaberry bore Hypothenemus hampei Ferr. (Coleoptera : Scolytidae) which given with contact test and oral test with suitable lethal (LC 50 ) concentration in effective of conidia B. bassiana for lethal 50% of Pathogenity of fungus Beauveria bassiana Vuill. to coffea berry bore Hypothenemus hampei Ferr. The data of insect mortality of B. bassiana with contact and oral test of (F Test). If there was different about result,would be done The Smallest Significant (BNT) Test with error level 5% and for getting Lethal Concentration Conidia (LC 50 ). The mortality data was analyzed with probit. The result of this research was the effective concentration to control the Pathogenity of fungus Beauveria bassiana Vuill. to coffea berry bore Hypothenemus hampei Ferr. (Coleopteran : Scolytidae) that oral test, LC 50 /6 has that 3,5 x 10 4 conidia/ml more effective than contact test, with LC 50 /4 has that 1,9 x 10 5 .Key words : Beauveria bassiana, Hypothenemus hampei, contact, oral

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted at The Laboratory of MIPA Graduate SchoolPGRI University from January to June 2011. The objective of this research was recognize the effect of leaf part sources Sansevieria trifasciata. The research utilized the Completely Randomized Design with five level treatment and six replications. The treatment are level consentration of fertilizer complex are 0 g/1 water (K0), 0,25 g/l water (K1), 0,5 g/l water (K2), 0,75 g/l water (K3), 1,0 g/l water (K4). The result showed that level consentration fertilizer give good effect to time of steam growth and length of steam Sanseviera trifasciata.Key words : fertilizer complex, Sanseviera trifasciata

Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch of inventaritation of peat swamp vegetation after forest burned was conducted at Talang Sepucuk village in Pedamaran Timur Ogan Komering Ilir, Sumatera Selatan Province on Maret 2006. The objective of this research was Plant was grouth in swamp vegetation after forest burned. This research utilited the direct observation with transect in vegetation growth type during one week. The research to study fishs at Lematang river at Rambang Dangku district South Sumatera Province. The research was conducted between Januari-Februari 2011. Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch on the diversity of predatory ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) of land surface in oil palm plantations SPPN Sembawa Banyuasin conducted in November to December 2010. This research used the temple of traps. Identification results of research conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Department Faculty of Mathematics and Science University of PGRI Palembang and Faculty Tarbiyah State IslamicInstitute Raden Fatah Palembang. The results obtained ant predators comprised 546 individuals from 10 species, 9 genera, and 3 subfamilia. The dominant species in oil palm plantations before harvest is Leptogenys longesis, whereas in oil palm plantations after harvesting is Odoontomachus sp. Predatory ant community diversity index on oil palm plantations before harvest is 2,087, whereas after harvest 1, 372,both growing areas were categorized to have diversity index was. Peradator ant community similarity index on oil palm plantations before mand after harvest by 75%.Key words: diversity, predatory, ants, palm plantations, community similarity

Abstract

ABSTRACTWater Well represent one of the source of clean water which still used many by Indonesia society. Water Well earn terkontaminasi porosity so that have natural potency to degradation of quality effect of ugly sanitasi, like existence of porosity irrigate household waste and of irrigate from less permanent tank septik. Wall well not cement and well have cement wall to influence porosity of tank septik. Quality ofwell water can be seen from its bacterium content of it. The research aims to know difference of bacterium content of coliform at wall well water not cement and well have cement wall. Research use presumptive test and confirmed test of coliform bacteria, and do analysed to use t-test. Result of research show there are difference of obstetrical signifikan coliform bacteria at wall well water not cement with well water have cement wall. At wall well water have not cement is have coliform bacteriamore.Key words: Coliform bacteria, wall well water not cement, well have cement wall.

Abstract

Researched about insects Identification on Red Chili (Capcicum annuum L.) at Santosa village, Palembang, was conducted March until April 2005.This research using purposive sampling method with 20 sample plants by choosing 4 plants from each part according to randomized. From the result of identification the insects of red chili, got 8 Ordo, 20 Family, 25 genous, and 25 Species. More insects found on Red chili on 5 th weeks,they are 15species,because at that time plant as time of flowering and the fruiting.Key words : Identification, insects, Capcicum annuum L ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang Identifikasi Serangga-Serangga Pada Tanaman Cabai Merah (Capsicum annum l.) di Desa Santosa Kecamatan Sukarami Kota Palembang,pada bulan Maret sampai April 2005. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling,dengan penentuan 20 tanaman contoh dengan memilih 4 tanaman dari masing-masing petak secara acak. Dari hasil identifikasi serangga-serangga pada tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annuum L.) didapatkan 8 Ordo, 20 Famili,25 Genus dan 25 Spesies. Serangga-serangga mulai banyak ditemukan pada tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annuum L.) pada minggu ke-5 sebanyak 15 spesies, karena pada saat itu tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annuum L.) sedang masa berbunga dan berbuah.Kata Kunci : Identifikasi, Serangga, Cabai merah
