Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi evektivitas Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD integrasi teori belajar Van hiele pada materi geometri di kelas V SD Inpres 109 Perumnas Kota Sorong. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain “One Group Pretest-postest Design” yang merupakan salah satu bentuk desain dari pre-eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Inpres 109 Perumnas Kota Sorong yang berjumlah 120 orang yang tersebar dalam 3 kelas yaitu kelas VA, VB, dan VC. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, yaitu dengan mengundi ketiga kelas, dan yang terpilih menjadi sampel penelitian adalah kelas VA dengan jumlah siswa siswa adalah 37 orang. Intrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD integrasi teori belajar Van Hiele efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika materi geometri di kelas V SD Inpres 109 Perumnas Kota Sorong, dimana dapat dilihat pada rata-rata pretest yang hanya mencapai 10, 49 meningkat pada saat posttest menjadi 71, 30 dengan ketuntasan klasikal dari 0% menjadi 81, 08 % dan nilai Gain ternormalisasi n (N-gain) mencapai 0, 68 dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

This study was  carried  out  to  find  out  whether  or  not  team  word-webbing technique  can improve students’ reading comprehension on expository reading text comprehension, description text structure, particularly to the students at the tenth grade of SMA Usdatara Kota Sorong in academic year 2016/2017. In this study the writer used pre-experimental study. Pre-experiment or pre experimental, the design used in this study was the one group pretest-posttest design, the writer only teaches in one class because the school only has one class for each grade. This design includes a pre-test measure followed by a treatment and a post-test for a single group. From the statistical analysis by using paired sample t-test on SPSS 16.00, the output of statistical computation showed that the score of t-count was 6.749 with the df 18. The score of t-table for standard significant 5% (0.05) and df 18 was 2.101. Thus, the score of t count was higher than ttable (6.749 > 2.101), it can be clearly concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It means that team word-webbing technique can improve students’ on reading expository text in comprehension description text structure, particularly to the students at the tenth grade of SMA Usdatara Kota Sorong in academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

The research objective was to find out the interference of first language occurs to English Speaking Performance at English department Students in University of Muhammadiyah Sorong and to find out what kinds of first language interference occurs to English Speaking Performance at English department Students in University of Muhammadiyah Sorong. The research design applied qualitative descriptive analysis which used to analyze the data taken from the real speaking of respondents that recorded on the progress of data collection. Numbers of respondent are asked to give their opinion or responses on selected theme provided on this research to elicit their real speaking performance which is recorded and analyzed. The result of this research revealed that there were first language interference occurred at English department students in university of Muhammadiyah Sorong and several kinds of first language interference were occurred on Word Pronunciation (54%), Dialect (38%), and Word Repetition (8%) which based on 15 respondent and total populations from three semesters of English Department in University of Muhammadiyah Sorong.

Abstract

This research tried to find out how is students’ speaking ability at University Muhammadiyah Sorong. This research used qualitative method and descriptive design. The population is students of English department at University of Muhammadiyah Sorong in 2013/2014 academic year. The writer took only 30 students randomly of fifth semester as the sample of this research. The writer also prepared some topics that chosen by the students and used voice recorder as the research instruments to measure students’ speaking ability.The result of this research revealed that the students’ speaking ability at University of Muhammadiyah Sorong was poor. The detail aspect of speaking occurred, Pronunciation was good, Grammar was fair, Vocabulary was fair, Fluency was poor, and Comprehension was poor which based on 30 respondents of fifth semester of English Education Department at University of Muhammadiyah Sorong.

Abstract

 The objective of this study was trying to analyze the impact of using video game in developing student’s vocabulary mastery. The method of this study was quantitative. The design of the research was based on the experimental study. Pre-test and post-test was given to 37 students of class H fifth semester of Sorong Muhammadiyah University. Score of the test was divided into five categories, they were very good, good, fairly, poor and very poor. The mean score of pre-test was 6, 51 in fairly category and the mean score of post-test was 8, 5 in very good category. It showed that the mean score of test after given the treatment was higher than test before given the treatment. The result of the t-test showed that played video games gave a significant effect on the students’ vocabulary mastery. The result of t-test was higher than t table (8, 96 > 1.68830).
