Abstract

The plan construction Transmision line SUTT 150 KV of the PLTP Karaha Bodas at (Sub-District of Kadipaten) to Mainhouse Electricity Malangbong (Sub-District Malangbong) will raise effects to the environment. Identification are the stage of the potential impact before EIA study. Identification is one of the stage to get isues in the field to minimize all the effects that will appear in the future to support sustainable development.

Abstract

Based on Geological Map of Pamanukan Sheet (scale 1:100.00) and Karawang Sheet (1:100.000), at northern ward of Purwakarta Regency, there are some rocks formation, e.g. Jatiluhur Formation, Subang Formation, and some Aluvials. Swelling potential analysis is based on Seed Method (Seed, et al.,1962, from Hunt, 2007). Soil samples at Aluvial terrain shows swelling characteristics very high (usually at clay of Subang Formation), its activity value is 1.31, predicted monmorilonitic (Bowles, 1989). Soil sample at clay terrain of Subang Formation shows low swelling potential (its not characteristic of Subang Formation), activity value is 0.21 (is predicted Illitic based on Bowles, 1989), and soil sample at clay terrain of Jatiluhur Formation, shows medium swelling potential characteristic with activity value is 0.52.

Abstract

Amphibolite is part of Ciletuh mélange complex that was exposed together with serpentinite, harzburgite, dunite, gabro and basalt. The rock is dominated by amphibole and andesine and rarely can be observed quartz. At some locations, the rocks have changed to ampbibolite epidote (oligoclase + hornblende + actinolite + epidote + chlorite). The result of mineral paragenesis and measurement of pressure and temperature indicates that amphibolites was formed of 5 kbar – 6 kbar with temperature 640oC – 660oC. Meanwhile amphibolites epidote was formed of 4 kbar – 5 kbar with temperature 410oC – 455oC. Obtaining pressure and temperature from amphibolites is indicated as result of obduction and then it has retrograded metamorphism to amphibolites epidote because of accretion and uplifting at Upper Oligosen. The indication is characterized by actinolite changed to chlorite, albite and epidote have replaced andesine, and another indication is the rim of hornblende is replaced by actinolite.

Abstract

Fossil of Foraminifera, Nannoplankton, and Pollen were got into rock sample in lower Kutai Basyn and very interesting to do research. Paleontology zone were made for deliniation of rocks formation in lower Kutai Basyn. Paleontology zone divided into three part : Foraminifera zone, Pollen zone, and Nannoplankton zone.

Abstract

Most hydrogeologist often meet the difficulties for exploration on tle lava flow when groundwater flow within that channel not emerging or no sputed on the surface. While, in other view, depending on frequency, GPR can resolve objects down to the size of a few meters or even centimeters, and this geophysical reflection method with the highest resolving power (GPR) is also as well established tool for geophysical investigations of the shallow subsurface. Thus, it is not surprising if this approach is used at lava flow terrain, in the Subang area. The tim can directly recognized the secondary permeable zone to recommendate the icline drilling with high accurate. Therefore, in this case, the extra effort and cost involved exceed the maksimum benefits or effisien.
