Silogisme : Kajian Ilmu Matematika dan Pembelajarannya, adalah sebuah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (Unmuh Ponorogo) bekerjasama dengan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun (Juni dan Desember), berisikan enam sampai sepuluh artikel dan menerima artikel di bidang kajian ilmu matematika (pendidikan dan murni) dengan metodologi penelitian yang memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan untuk publikasi. Naskah artikel bisa berasal dari para peneliti, akademisi, praktisi, dan pemerhati bidang ilmu matematika.

Abstract

Mathematical communication is very important for mathematic learning. But, mathematic learning in school can’t increase mathematical communication. This research aims to describe the implementation of  problem based learning to enhance students mathematical communication know increase of the mathematical communication through problem based learning in class VII MTs. Maarif Balong Ponorogo.This research is a classroom action  research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. This research subject is the students of class VII B MTs. Ma’arif Balong Ponorogo. The data collection technique used is a test block, at the end of each cycle to measure mathematical communication and observation to evaluate the adherence of teachers and students activities. The results showed that mathematical communication increased from the first cycle to the second cycle after the  implementation of problem-based learning model. This score average has been increased in accordance with the indicator of the success that was determined by the researchers. Based on the analysis of learning process  through observation sheets of problem-based learning model showed that the average percentage activities of teachersand students activities increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Mathematical Communication, Increase

Abstract

Geometri Non-Euclid adalah salah satu pengklasifikasian geometri yang tercipta karena usaha para matematikawan untuk membuktikan postulat kelima. Banyak matematikawan menganggap bahwa postulat kelima Euclid bukanlah postulat tetapi dapat dibuktikan dengan empat postulat lainnya. Lalu dalam geometri ini dibedakan lagi menjadi 2 macam, yaitu geometri hiperbolik dan geometri neutral. Geometri Hiperbolik ini masih berdasarkan empat postulat awal tetapi berbeda pada postulat kelimanya. Pada skripsi ini dibahas tentang ruang dasar dan model proyeksi stereografik pada geometri hiperbolik. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode studi literatur dengan sumber informasi data berasal dari artikel ilmiah seperti buku yang berjudul Hyperbolic Geometry,dan Euclidean and Non-Euclidean Geometries : Development and History, jurnal ilmiah yang berjudul “Hyperbolic Geometry”, dan bahan lain yang berkaitan dengan ruang dasar dan model proyeksi stereografik pada geometri Hiperbolik. Pertama-tama pada penelititan ini dibahas tentang definisi bilangan kompleks, vektor, bidang kompleks , nilai mutlak, dan konsep jarak pada ruang Euclid. kemudian, konsep bidang paruh atas dalam bidang kompleks , garis hiperbolik, dan kesejajaran garis. Kemudian  dibahas tentang model proyeksi stereografik pada , dan proyeksi stereografik adalah konformal (sudut-sudut yang diawetkan). Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat diungkap bahwa dalam geometri hiperbolik terdapat definisi garis hiperbolik. Kesejajaran garis yang berbeda dengan konsep kesejajaran pada geometri Euclid. Lalu  terdapat model proyeksi stereografik pada bidang kompleks . Karena model ini terbentuklah dua segitiga yang sebangun. Terungkap juga proyeksi stereografik adalah konformal, yaitu adanya sudut-sudut yang diawetkan karena bidang yang menyinggung suatu titik pada daerah  - {N}. Hasil ini adalah akibat karena model proyeksi stereografik pada bidang kompleks . Kata Kunci:  Geometri Non-Euclid, Geometri Hiperbolik, Bidang Paruh Atas, Proyeksi Stereografik, Konformal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran melalui facebook group discussion lebih efektif terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu karena tidak semua variabel yang mempengaruhi variabel terikat dikontrol. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat II prodi pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran melalui facebook group discussion  lebih efektif terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there are differences in the increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students who get a cooperative learning model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR) and Reciprocal Learning types. This study was conducted in one of the Junior High School in Garut on pyramid and prism material. The population in the study were students of class VIII, and as many as two classes selected sample. The instrument used is test description of mathematical problem solving ability. This test instrument tests on another class who have studied the material pyramid and prism, the instrument is deemed to have qualified validity, reliability, distinguishing features, and level of difficulty. Data analysis was performed with data normality test, homogeneity test, t test, and test to determine the normalized gain increased ability students' mathematical understanding. From the results of the data analysis performed in this study can be concluded that there are no differences in the ability of solving mathematical students between experimental class one that uses a learning model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR) and experimental class two were using model Reciprocal Learning, which increase the ability of mathematical understanding of students from each class experimental group was included in the criteria Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving, Discourse Multy Representation, Reciprocal Learning

Abstract

A Capability that includes the five competencies in accordance with the purpose of learning mathematics (NCTM 2000 and Depdiknas 2006) is the mathematical literacy. Although Indonesia has been participated in PISA since 2000, the students’ mean score did not sufficient yet particularly in mathematics. Students get difficulties in solving unfamiliar problems although the mathematics content is the same. Mathematical literacy is not spread yet so that teaching materials that are used to improve the literacy skills are limited. During learning process, students used the literature that loads the basic concepts of mathematics but used  few contexts. Therefore, the researchers conducted a research which the aims to develop a teaching material that can be used to develop students’ mathematical literacy. The method used is ADDIE model which is an acronym for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Subjects in research is the ninth grade students of SMP N 3 Gresik which are given opportunities to assess the textbooks. From this study, we develop a mathematical literacy module for junior high school students. From the math experts we got the average percentage is 90,18% and 88,64% from the desgn experts.Meanwhile students 81,41 %. Key Words: PISA, Module, Mathematical Literacy, ADDIE model

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of learning by questioning and clarifying sharpening presented with reciprocal teaching strategy, in this case it is sharpened on two characteristics of the strategy on the matter polynomial functions. In this lesson, students formed into small groups where the small group of students will each propose and clarify questions that arise. Results of questions and clarifications subsequently clarified at the front of the class, and responded to by other groups. The conclusion is a learning procedure using a sharpening feature of questioning and clarifying for students are students conducting questioning and clarifying in groups to formulate and clarify any questions and answers material polynomial, either in small groups or classes. While the impact for students is the improvement of student learning outcomes in the polynomial function that is 86.7% of the students were able to score more than or equal to 65.Kata Kunci: Fungsi Polinomial, Reciprocal Teaching, Questioning, Claryfying
