Abstract

Industrial approach by parties outside the community is often a problem for people in the community who still up hold the values of regionalism. Decentralization deemed incapable to answer needs of the community, and even alienating society. Local governments often decentralized approach to promote industrial development vision and mission of each region. It then presents the resistance of society as happened in the village Hatunuru. Hatunuru public notice that the palm oil industries which are negotiatedby the Regents of Western Seramand investors will have an impacton the degradation values of ecological, social, culturaland economic, and a landing people in poverty. With the help of formal and informal organizations, communities and then find the true meaning of development, and wants development without losing sight of the forest as the utility sentrum community life. Therefore, the idea of bottom-up development should be considered in order to develop rural Hatunuruas rural in the stage of development of post-resistance.

Abstract

The article describes the cooperation of non-governmental actors conducted by Christian High School 1 Salatiga and the Institute of Chinese Language Course "Sha Hua" by OCA (Overseas Chinese Affairs). This article is the beginning of a process of cooperation to the success achieved from the cooperation between Christian High School 1 Salatiga and the Institute of Chinese Language Course "Sha Hua" With OCA (Overseas Chinese Affairs) in the improvement of human resources as development indicators by displaying a different dimension. This article also describes the cooperation Christian High School 1 Salatiga and the Institute for Language Course Mandarin "Sha Hua" which embodies the development of education through scholarships, cooperation model performed by actors non-government (in this case Christian High School 1 Salatiga and the Institute for Language Course Mandarin "Sha Hua") to the role of education to national development. Perspective theory used to analyze the cooperation of non-governmental actors is the theory of globalization, international cooperation theory and the theory of social capital (social capital). The method used was a case study (case study). From the data analysis found that: First, cooperation between non-governmental actors is made up of trust fosters a strong commitment to the same goal, and it allows the understanding that has been formed is not easy to be stopped just because of interrelated to one another; Secondly, the State is a partner cooperation between non-governmental actors become the most important thing to consider in a partnership; and Third, education is very important role in human development.

Abstract

Knowledge and technology keep on developing while environmental need to struggle on problems that becoming important issue on globalization era. Sumba, a traditional iland in Indonesia also try to keep up with the development of worldwide technology. This paper is trying to describe and analyze one of the life philosophies of Sumba people, “matawai amahu pada njara hamu” in order to understand and interpret the existence nature and all the creations in the midst of the development progress situation holistically. Based on this philocophy concept, cross-faith communities in East Sumba can find common ground for harmonizing life of creation (eco-human soterio). Therefore, this philosophy must be strived to be a shared awareness (ecosophy) of the interfaith communities, because the Land of Marapu is a shared responsibility. This awareness will guide Sumba people to treat nature and all creations ethically (eco-ethic).

Abstract

This Study aims to identify the potential of tourism as well as the various activities that have a negative impact on the environment, economic and social in Tunuo village. Furthermore, this study communicate these issues in a sustainable development perspective and community based tourism approach. This study used a qualitative method with case study approach. Observation, in-depth interviews are used to obtain the data. Triangulation technique is also used to obtain valid information. This study was conducted in North Halmahera since the end of 2014. The Finding of this study is a push and pull factors such as education, employment, needs, revenue, market demand and resources availability. Through this research, tourism development can be a strategy to suppress all the problem that has a negative impact on the environment, social and economic in Tunuo Village.
