A valuable literary work will get continually perception from its surrounding society. Problem of thisresearch is how the perception of society towards the death of Dursasana is. The study aims todescribe the various perceptions towards Dursasanaâ€™s death. Based on the perception approach,finding of this research shows that the death of Dursasana gets perception on five thingsincluding the name of Dursasana, his reason to join in the war, the place of his death, the way heis killed, and the finding of the legend village around Kroya, Cilacap.Keywords: literature, perception, the death, Dursasana.

The study is supposed to discuss about pakeliran ringkas and the concept of pakeliran padat asone alternative for the present as well as future forms of wayang performance. The discussionwill be started from the concept of pakeliran padat and its elements of garap that widely influencethe development of wayang performance previously. Pakeliran ringkas with the concept of pakeliranpadat represents a pakeliran that oriented to the duration of three until four hours by eliminatingsome scenes that are supposed unimportant and uses the concept of garap elements ofpakeliran padat namely harmonizing the media and the content equally. Pakeliran ringkas with theconcept of pakeliran padat avoid something that makes the content superficial. Pakeliran ringkaswith the concept of pakeliran padat as an offered alternative is interestingly packed by considering the essence of guidance as well as entertainment for the society.Keywords: alternative, Pakeliran Ringkas, concept of Pakeliran Padat.

The meaning of krucil puppet show in the ceremony of puryfying village Manganan Janjang. Thepurpose of this study is to describe and to understand the meaning of krucil puppet show in aseries of Cleaning Village Manganan Janjang. The problems studied include: what the meaning ofa krucil puppet show in a series of purifying Village Manganan Janjang is? Research materials arecollected through library study, interview, and direct observation to the puppet show in a series ofpurifying Village Manganan Janjang with title Bedhah Medhayin at June 6, 2013, by Ki Lamto thepuppeteer. This study uses the analysis of the meaning by using descriptive interpretativemethod. The results showed that: The meaning of the show related to the meaning of title, andthe meaning of the symbol. The less of the youth interest toward wayang is caused by the transmission system stagnancyof wayang and the decrease of commitment to make wayang closer to them. Besides, thetechnology progress and media publication bring the transparancy for the youth tofollow thetrend of instant arts outside their own culture. The effort to get their interest is bytrying to lovewayang progressively and simultaneously. Wayang development is based on theIndonesianvalues. It needs to design an alternative model of Indonesian wayangdevelopment as an effortto increase the youth interest toward wayang. Strategy of wayang developing is executed bydetermining the target; composing public segmentation; arranging model concept; buildingcooperation; designing the various model of wayang developing; socializing the model to thepublic; and keeping the continuity. The wayang developing is led to focus on the mannerseducation and the extension of the creative industry to sustain the nation building.Keywords: model of wayang developing, the youth, value, strategy, manners.

This research is based on the assumption that lakon Jaka Bluwo by Bambang Suwarno inwayang gedhog performance represents the Javanese knowledge sourced from mythology thatis universally received to interpret their world, both microcosm as well as macrocosm. For thereason, it needs to gain the messages contained in the wayanglakon. The material objectchosen in the research is lakon Jaka Bluwo that is one of Panji stories which is often presented inwayang gedhog and wayang topeng performance. The research aims to convey the messagescontained in lakon Jaka Bluwo using the paradigm of Levi - Strauss structuralism. The result ofresearch shows that the structuralism analysis produces a new meaning out of the meaning inlakon Jaka Bluwo. The meaning is a deep structure which is different from the performance aswell as dramatic structures which are empirically understood. Lakon Jaka Bluwo is guessed to bea Javanese way to describe the various knowledges about the balanced principles of human livesthat is one who is able to do the inner and outer dutiesequally.Keywords: Lakon Jaka Bluwo, Bambang Suwarnoâ€™s work, structuralism, Levi-Strauss.

Javanese wayang consists of several kinds for example Wayang Purwa, Wayang Gedhog, WayangMadya, and Wayang Wasana. According to Serat Centini, Wayang Gedhog appeared in fifteenthcentury created by Sunan Ratu Tunggul in the era of Demak. Problems of the article include whatkind of values contained in Wayang Gedhog performance is? This article is supposed to describethe values of life contained in Wayang Gedhog. The values are analyzed by theory of philosophyadapted to the new paradigm in the development of philosophy today. The finding tells that thejourney of Panji Asmarabangun represents a spiritual act that leads to the deepest spiritual level.The obstacles passed by Panji shows the symbol of evil lust.Keywords: Wayang Gedhog, Panji, symbol, Philosophy, value.

This article aims to provide a description about the existence of a tradition as the realityexperienced by adolescents and presented in a theatrical performance. The quistion is how theJavanese tradition experienced by adolescents and applied in a theatrical performance? Toanswer of this, the reseacher has used Brunerâ€™s theory on the anthropology of experiance anddramatic structure from George Kernodle. Collecting datas is done by observation of differentform of theatre performance by teenegers and interviews to the actors and theatre director.The reseacher conclude that mental disposition and muscle memory was experianced by actorsand directors which is expressed in dialog, mood, and spectacle through theatre performance.Keywords: Javaness tradition, Structur, Mental Disposition.
