Abstract

Banjaran Sengkuni is a play that tells about the life journey of a character named Sengkuni. Through the play the puppeteer believes that the character’s character is formed not only from birth, but also from the process of the fetus through sexual intercourse by both parents. Unless formed since in the womb, it will also be formed by the environment that surrounds it. What is meant by the environment includes the family environment, the surrounding community, and the universe. The character of Sengkuni in Banjaran Sengkuni is very determined by the process of the occurrence of a baby or fetus in the womb, which is through the process of adultery that is culturally considered negative even sin. He inherited his father’s character, namely a gandarwa named Setibar. The thing that signifies the character that can be observed is that Sengkuni’s baby despite being born in a handsome face but he fuses like a fangled father. Abstract

lndonesian political reform, which began in 1998, directly influenced the ethnic identity of the chinese community in Semarang. The Liong dance, as a chinese art form, began to be performed once again in the streets of Semarang’s China town, as part of parade to celebrate the anniversary of Hok Tek Tjing sien.The Liong dance means to give tangibility, to become an icon and metaphor, and to actualize various myths, beliefs, imagination, and world-views, which in reality are means of self-definition for a group or individual. A parade of a Liong dance, with its various symbols and attributes, with many Chinese people gathered together in one place, strengthens their social ties through symbols of their cultural system. Abstract

Choir as a form of vocal music that uses human voice as its main media has a unique and interesting side of beauty, except for the beauty of melody, rhythm and harmony, the choir also delivers its message through the lyrics/verses that it sings has a sufficient number of enthusiasts many. The activities of singing or singing in groups, namely in the form of choirs in Indonesia in the last few years have shown remarkable progress both in terms of quantity and quality. Choir competitions held at national and international levels always invite high enthusiasm from choir activists or communities in Indonesia to participate. The choir competition held in the last few years, both national and international levels as mentioned above, uses a race classification system, which is based on music genres and certain times / periods of historical periods in western music. The use of the competition category system is accompanied by the rules of the organizer which usually gives freedom for each contestant to determine the song title and number of songs to be sung, so it does not require a particular song to be sung by each competitor.Along with the reality above and the increasingly competitive national level choir competition and the increasing enthusiasm of the Indonesian choir community to participate and excel at the international competition, the needs and availability of choir songs that have been arranged in good and interesting arrangements is believed will continue to increase. Writing with the title A to K of the single basic institution stage for sound alloy explains things that are fundamentally the main need for someone when they are interested in being able to master the way to make arrangements for the choir. Things that are described include: human voice coverage, voice range relationship with selection of basic scales or tones, understanding chords and their formation, chord types, chords in basic positions, I reversal and reversal II, Kadens, making harmonization, designing shapes composition, determining instrumentation, processing the elements of music, Based on the background of this, it is very necessary for an introduction to describe how to make arrangements for a choir song. The hope, with the increasing number of choir lovers who also have an interest in equipping themselves with developing their knowledge in terms of making arrangements for the choir, will in the future more and more management works be produced and certainly will enrich the literature of songs from the Spiritual category. secular, regional and pop songs for choir groups. Abstract

This research focuses on the populist aesthetic features of the Gagrag puppet show Banyumas Cithut Purbocarito presentation Srenggini Takon Rama, reveals the problem of: (1) Who is form of gagrag puppet show Banyumas Cithut Purbocarito presentation Srenggini Takon Ramadan (2) Who is the aesthetic style of leather puppet shows gagrag Banyumas Cithut Purbocarito Srenggini play Takon Rama. Both of these problems are examined using the aesthetic concept of puppetry, namely the concept of nuksma and mungguh. In addition, to reveal the structure of Banyumas gagrag puppet show using the Banyumas Gagrag Pedalangan Pathokan ... The results of this study indicate that the achievement of nuksma can be seen from the success of mastermind in building a seding atmosphere, team, trenyuh, greget, sereng, gandrung, and prenes. Indeed, it can be indicated through the harmony of taste in catur, sabet, and karawitan dance which is presented in each scene. Aesthetic analysis through the elements of pakeliran, including sabet, catur, and karawitan pakeliran, conclusions can be drawn about the aesthetics of Banyumas gagrag puppetry, namely nyopak.Keywords: aesthetics, Puppet Show, Cithut Purbocarito, Srenggini Takon Rama,

Abstract

This paper aims to uncover problems about: (1) How the effects of ecological changes on the life of the puppets of Thengul Ngawi and (2) How the effects of ecological changes on the aesthetics of the puppet show Thengul Ngawi. The problems that have been raised are then examined using an ecological and aesthetic approach to puppetry. The existence, life, shape and influence of ecological changes to wayang Thengul which includes the intensity of performances, functions and meanings in the community are examined using the aesthetic concept of populist puppetry. The results of the study that ecological changes occurring in the Ngawi region affect the wayang thengul art. The influence makes it a form of rural-style art belonging to the people of Ngawi, especially in Karangjati District.Keywords: Ecology, Arts, Puppet Thengul.

Abstract

Monument of Jaten or Monument of Tien Soeharto locates in Getas Village, Jaten Karanganyar. The initial purpose of the monument building was to commemorate the birthplace of RAJ. Siti Hartinah, the wife of President Soeharto. Since 2009, the function of the Monument of Jaten has developed.This place is also used for the performances of young puppeteers. The monument is a promotional event for young puppeteers to be better known by the wider community. The shadow puppet show is finally held every night of Rebo Pon. Puppet shows performed on the monument Jaten may have primary and secondary functions. The primary function is that the puppet are watched by the public so that their beauty or aesthetic elements can be enjoyed. In addition, puppet shows can also provide entertainment for the community. The secondary function is that by holding a puppet show, the values contained in the play performed by the puppeteer are expected to be able to provide students with value for their audience; strengthen the rope of solidarity; and revive the economic turnaround the small traders around it.Keywords: monument, Jaten, puppet show, function.

Abstract

The tittle of this research is “The Role of Ki Suwadi on Develop East Java Leather Puppet GagragTrowulanan on Jombang regency” such as research focus of social construction study and the function structural. This research questions was formulated as follows: (1) how is the universal conception the instrumental of gagragTrowulan(2) How to Ki Suwadi safe and develop east java leatherpuppet gagragTrowulan. This Research method that use in this research is qualitative research, and the data validity used triangulation data that is data research use three methods, that is legwork with observation, interview, literature review and transcription from source audio-visual.The result of this research is the process of Ki Suwadi from “nyantrik” for senior mastermind gagragTrowulanis Ki Pit Asmoro. Ki Suwadi very take effect for the development of East Java leather puppet gagragTrowulan until now. His pakeliran get a good respond from the society, be evidenced a lot of young mastermind who doing nyantrikactivity to him. All of The students of Ki Suwadi become a mastermind. They are become a famous mastermind in his area.
