Abstract

This research study recognizes the role of (1) Information and Communication Technology on Economic Growth in ASEAN countries, (2) Education level on Economic Growth in ASEAN countries, (3) Direct Foreign Invesment on Economic Growth in ASEAN countries using the method multiole linear equations with Least Panel Square Model data from 2013 to 2018. Estimation results from multiple linear equations show that (1) ICT hs a significant positive effect on economics in ASEAN countries (2) Education level has significant positive effect on growth in ASEAN countries and (3) Foreign Direct Invesment has a significant positive effect on Economic Growth i ASEAN countries.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of macroeconomic variables on the rupiah exchange rate, which in this study involves variables from internal and external factors. The independent variables used are inflation, interest rates, gold prices and foreign debt, and the dependent variable is the exchange rate. This study uses time series data in the country of Indonesia with a span of quarter 1 in 2009 to 4 in 2018. The research model uses multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results showed that inflation and interest rates did not significantly influence the rupiah exchange rate. However, the price of gold and foreign debt have a significant effect on the rupiah exchange rate.

Abstract

This study aims to interact global financial market fluctuations, commodity price fluctuations and capital flows to determine which factors interact with the cycle in Indonesia the most. The data used is secondary data from official publications, namely Bank Indonesia for data on capital flows and bank credit, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for international commodity price index data and the global financial market valatility index (VIX). The analysis period in this study is the first quarter of 1993 to the fourth quarter of 2018. The results of the study using the correlation index show that the cycle of capital flows in Indonesia is carried out by global finance and The movement of commodity prices causes the flow of funds that enter the Indonesian economy to be largely short-term, so it tends to have acyclical interactions with bank credit to the business world and is slightly more procyclical for credit to non-business fields. Credit to non-business fields is dominated by bank credit, which is allocated to consumption credit and has a short term.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of energy consumption, environmental quality, economic growth on the human development index, partially and simultanneously. This type of research used in this research is descriptive and associative research. The data in this study are secondary data in the form of time series from 1987 to 2017, with documentation data collection techniques and literature studies obtained from relevant agencies. The methods used in this study are Multiple Linear Berganda, Clasical Assumption Test. The results of this study indicate that energy consumption has positive and significant effect on the human development index in Indonesia, enviromental quality has a positive and significant effect on the human development index in Indonesia, economic growth has a negative and significant effect on the human development index in Indonesia, and energy consumption, enviromental quality, and economic growth have a significant effect on the human development index in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between variables determinant of nation’s competitiveness based on the first subclass of the Global Competitiveness Report (GCR) produced by World Economic Forum (WEF) which discusses relations between infrastructure, economics and education, and health with trade openness. The study uses secondary data that is processed and generated by WEF of each nation competitiveness variables of the GCR. The analytical method used is panel data regression with 6 countries in Southeast Asian (ASEAN) region as the object in the period of 2008 to 2016. The limitations of this study are the limited data and objects used. The results from this research showed the only variable which significantly affects trade openness that also has a positive impact on it is institution.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of bank size (total assets), capital adequacy (CAR) and credit risk (NPL) on banking efficiency in Indonesia. Banking efficiency in this study uses the BOPO indicator. This research is classified into descriptive and inductive research. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of panel data on 27 conventional commercial banks in Indonesia from 2010 to 2019 obtained from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This study uses a panel regression analysis method. The results of the study using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) show that: (1) Bank size (total assets) has a negative and insignificant effect on bank efficiency in Indonesia, (2) Capital adequacy (car) has a negative and insignificant effect on bank efficiency. negative and insignificant to bank efficiency in Indonesia, (3) Credit risk (NPL) has a negative and significant effect on bank efficiency in Indonesia. (4) Bank size (total assets), Capital adequacy (car) and credit risk together significant effect on banking efficiency in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines Agricultural Loans Determinants: Analysis from the Supply and Demand Side with the scope of Indonesia starting from 2012 to 2019. This study uses Error Correction Model (ECM) analysis as an estimation method that shows the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable in the short term. as well as long term. The results of the study show that in the short term, the variables of CAR, NPL and Inflation have a negative effect on Commercial Bank Loans for the Agricultural Sector, while the variables of TPF, Economic Activity and Loan Interest Rates have a positive effect. On the other hand, in the long term, the variables of DPK, Economic Activity and Loan Interest Rates actually have a negative effect and it is the variables of CAR, NPL and Inflation that have a positive effect on Commercial Bank Loans for the Agricultural Sector.
