Abstract

The problem in this research is using the control chart diagram - R whether the 2018 kernel product defects at PT. Inti Indosawit Subur is still under control ?, by using a causal diagram what factors cause the failure of kernel products at PT. Inti Indosawit Subur?. The purpose of this final project is to determine the defect rate of kernel products at PT. Inti Indosawit Subur is still under control or not through the control chart - R and to find out what factors cause the failure of kernel products at PT. Inti Indosawit Subur through a causal diagramThe data collection methods used in the writing of this study were field research (interviews and documentation) and literature study. The data analysis method used is the control chart - R to see abnormalities or deviations in the kernel quality data and cause and effect diagrams to analyze what are the causes of product defects.Based on the results of research and data processing, it is known that of the three quality standards of kernel products, two of them are out of control, namely dirt and shell (dirt content) and broken kernel (broken kernel). Therefore, the authors provide suggestions for the company to improve the quality of kernel products.

Abstract

PT X Industry adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi Pulp & Tisu dalam berbagai macam jenis, sesuai dengan permintaan konsumen. PT X Industry terdiri dari beberapa Divisi dan Divisi membawahi beberapa unit, Salah satu unit dari divisi Pulp Mill adalah Pulp Machine. Untuk menghasilkan produksi Pulp tidak terlepas dengan ketersediaan Felt pada Pulp Machine sehingga Perusahaan perlu melaksanakan perencanaan dan Pengendaliannya sehingga Umur Felt dapat dioptimalkan. Dengan adanya peningkatan umur felt akan berdampak langsung terhadap penghematan Cost Felt dan berpotensi terhadap peningkatan Produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Total Cost Felt dengan menggunakan Metode EOQ. Lokasi penelitian di PT X Industry Divisi PUP (PulpMill Production) Unit Pulp Machine di Heavy Duty Press (HDP 1 & 2 ). Tanggal 08 Oktober 2019 sampai 10 Januari 2020. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisa kualitatif dan kuantitatif dan dilakukan perhitungan angka-angka yang dapat membantu dalam menentukan cost Felt. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, Observasi dan dokumen. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan yaitu metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Hasil Penelitian ini bahwa dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dengan safety stock Total Cost Felt lebih besar dari tanpa safety Stock akan tetapi dengan adanya Safety Stock lebih menjamin ketersediaan Felt sehingga produksi dapat berjalan lancar dan dapat memenuhi pesanan konsumen sehingga kerugian yang lebih besar dapat dihindari.

Abstract

Refrigeran is a major component in an Air Conditioner (AC) system. AC is a cooling system used as a room temperature conditioning tool, so it is comfortable to use in indoor activities. The refrigeran pressure in the cooling system can reduce the air conditioner's ability to condition the room temperature. The purpose of this study was to determine the coefficient of performance (COP) value of refrigeran R-134a with variations in refrigeran pressure of 100, 125, and 150 psi. The parameters studied were the compressor's energy consumption, the cooling capacity, and the COP value. Energy consumption is calculated based on the compressor power multiplied by the length of time the compressor is operated. The results show that the COP value decreases with an increased operating time of the cooling system; this indicates that energy consumption increases with increasing refrigeran pressure.

Abstract

As Small and Medium size enterprise(SME) still using manual and simple tools in their operation as done by Bude Wagino SME which is located at Sungai Bahar,Batanghari. This SME specialized at making kripik Tempe(Tempe chips). Based on observation and interview at the SME, the workers complain that they experience over fatigue, back pain and sore muscle in their arms. The purpose of this research is to design ergonomic slicer tempe tools by using  ENASE concept. This research using mixed method which using antropometri data such as height of sitting elbow,normal range,far reach, and grip width as quantitative method. As qualitative method used for interview the workers. The data of workers percentile will be used as based design of the tools.By using the tool will be expected to decrease the workers complain and can increase the productivity.

Abstract

PT. ICG is a company that handles the pipeline welding process at PetroChina Jabung Ltd. The welding process carried out is cutting, rolling, pressing and painting. The problem that occurs is that 243 defects are found from the output of 457 welding points. The types of defects after the welding process included 106 points of Root Cancellation defects, 99 points of Incomplete fusion, 29 points of Porosity, 8 points of Slug Inclusion, and 1 point of Tungsten Inclusion. This study aims to control quality by looking at the sigma value of the pipeline production process and analyzing the improvements that should be made to reduce the defects that occur. The results of the calculation of Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) show that the number of welding defects that arise every one million opportunities is 174,10. The quality of the welding process in the pipeline Sabar # 2 project is at a sigma value of 2,43 with a DPMO value of 174,10. From the results of the sigma value obtained, this value is still far from the expectations of Petrochina's management to achieve a minimum sigma value of 4,0. The potential causes of weld defects include welding machines, work errors, work methods and work environment.
