Abstract

Arctornis riguata Snellen is one of lymantriids which attacked a vast range of mango trees in Probolinggo at the beginning of 2011. About 1.2% mango trees from nine sub-districts have been defoliated by the larvae of this species. The larvae of this genus have been reported to forage at Anacardiacea as well; however, they have never been reported to forage at cultivated mango trees in Indonesia. Since there is no biological information of this species, thus, a study on some biological aspects of this species is needed. This study was conducted in the field as well as in the laboratory during 4 months (March-July 2011). The diagnostic characters of this species are black scale at dorsal antenna on both male and female and slightly setae particularly at the costal angle of valve on the male genitalia. Life span of this species is in the range of 30-37 days. This study also found four natural enemies of A. riguata i.e.: Bleparipa sp. (Diptera: Tachinidae), Euagathis sp. (Hymenoptera: Brachonidae), Theronia sp. (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae), and Brachymeria lasus (Hymenoptera: Chalcididae). Moreover, a single fungal pathogen of this species also was identified, i.e. Isaria fumosorosea Wize. Having these results, we considered that to control A. riguata, one need to conserve the native natural enemies by manipulating their environment.

Abstract

Facilities layout has very important relation with material handling systems. One ofthe most problem in production systems is caused by unsystematic material handling. In thisresearch, we will try to implement simulated annealing algorithm to layout machines. Inputof this research are machine number, each machine dimension (length and width), sequenceof machines in each part, production volume in each part, and batch size in each part. Outputof this research is machines layout with minimum total flow cost. This research solved thecase with 15 machines and 25 parts. The result on this case is sequence of machines: 1, 12,7, 2, 4, 15, 6, 8, 11, 3, 9, 10, 14, 13 and 6 with total flow cost 6100.5.Keywords: simulated annealing, machine layout

Abstract

The availability of local rice needs to be predicted to meet the demand for rice supply in Indonesia. Central Java, as the third largest rice producer in Indonesia, is one of the pillars of national rice demand. The amount of food production in Indonesia is an important factor in determining the right food supply. Forecasting rice production in Central Java is necessary to determine future food conditions. The purpose of this research is to develop a forecast model for rice production in Central Java province and to find out the estimated rice production in Central Java Province in the next 5 years. The time series forecasting method was used in this study. The data used in this study are data on rice production from 1993 to 2020. From the results of the Auto Correlation Function (ACF) test, it is known that the production data has a trend data pattern. The method used in this study is the double exponential smoothing method with two parameters (Holt's Methods). The optimal forecasting model is obtained with the help of solver software in Microsoft Excel. By using the help of the Microsoft Excel solver, the optimal constant value α is 0,767 and β is 0,412 with a Mean Absolute Precentage Error value of 4,82%. Forecasting results from 2021 to 2025 are known to decline every year. The average decline in rice production in the next 5 years is estimated at 4,4% per year. Abstract

Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen, industri manufaktur memproduksi produk dalam jumlah yang besar. Hal ini mengakibatkan kebutuhan akan adanya gudang dan sistem penyimpanan yang baik merupakan sebuah tuntunan bagi perusahaan. Produk yang ada di gudang dapat dikelompokkan berdasarkan karakteristiknya dengan menggunakan hirarki produk. Pemisahan barang gudang berdasarkan suatu karakteristik tertentu akan membutuhkan tata letak gudang yang berbeda. Association Rule Mining (AR) merupakan bagian dari teknik data mining yang berguna untuk menemukan suatu korelasi dari sekumpulan data. Dengan input data jadwal pengiriman produk nantinya akan didapatkan korelasi data pengiriman antar produk sehingga dapat diketahui produk yang sering dikirim/keluar gudang dan produk yang lamban keluar dari gudang. Penelitian ini merancang bagaimana layout usulan gudang yang diberikan berdasarkan konsep hirarki produk menggunakan Association Rule Mining. Dari hasil pengolahan data dan penyortiran aturan asosiasi dengan mempertimbangkan syarat pemilihan aturan asosiasi yang baik didapatkan 9 aturan asosiasi antar departemen yang akan digunakan sebagai acuan untuk pembuatan desain layout usulan gudang jadi. Dengan hubungan asosiasi terkuat pada Depertemen Botol PET Warna dan Departemen Toples PET dengan nilai support 0,830, confidence 0,988 dan lift ratio 1,008. Perhitungan efisiensi tata letak gudang desain usulan dapat pengurangan jarak sebesar 30.82 meter dari desain awal.Kata kunci: Perancangan, Tata letak gudang, Hirarki produk, Association Rule Mining

Abstract

Aktivitas workshop PT. X yang berkaitan dengan penanganan material dapat memberikan paparan kepada pekerja terhadap kondisi fisik yang dapat menyebabkan musculoskeletal disorders. Keluhan musculoskeletal yang berhubungan dengan pekerjaan mempunyai kontribusi yang besar terhadap jumlah kecelakaan kerja. Penilaian ergonomi diperlukan untuk mengurangi potensi risiko cedera musculoskeletal dan meningkatkan produktivitas kerja. Quick Exposure Check (QEC) adalah alat observasi dan penilaian yang digunakan untuk menilai paparan risiko work-related musculoskeletal disorders dan menyediakan dasar untuk intervensi ergonomi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di unit workshop PT. X dengan responden pekerja laki-laki dengan rerata umur 32,79 ± 5,66 tahun dan rerata lama bekerja 3,2 ± 1,65 tahun. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa 50% pekerja workshop mengalami paparan dengan tingkat tinggi dan sangat tinggi pada punggung dan bahu/lengan. 33% pekerja mengalami paparan dengan tingkat tinggi pada pergelangan tangan. 17% pekerja mengalami paparan stress yang tinggi. Sedangkan pada jenis paparan yang lain berada pada tingkat rendah dan sedang. Jenis paparan dengan tingkat tinggi disebabkan oleh faktor postur bagian tubuh, berat beban yang ditangani, durasi kerja yang lama dan berulang, dan frekuensi pergerakan bagian tubuh yang terlalu sering. Intervensi dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi risiko MSD dengan adanya perbaikan atau perancangan sistem kerja dengan mempertimbangkan aspek personal, aspek peralatan, dan aspek organisasi kerja. Kata kunci : musculoskeletal disorders, paparan, penilaian ergonomi, Quick Exposure Check.

Abstract

In most researches in the area of risk management, the result stops at proposing the mitigation strategies. The number of researches on associating cost analysis into the risk management process is very limited. This paper proposes a practical process on how cost analysis can be associated into the risk management process especially in the area of manufacturing. The process of the risk management is conducted as usual, started by selecting the potential risk and finding the major causes. Then, a risk map and its rubric of risk likelihood and severity are developed, and the major causes are plotted into it to select the priority of the major causes and the proposed mitigation strategy is developed. Then, the poposed strategy is compared with the current strategy based on the cost generated using the developed equation. The result shows the proposed mitigation strategy is selected because it saves approximately IDR 2 million per order. It indicates that cost analysis can be successfully associated into the risk mitigation process and generates a comprehensive recommendation to the decision maker.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to analyze movement in doing basic technics, hit and reverse hit, on hockey field. There was seven aspects to be analyzed such as ball’s velocity, accuration, the angle of right arm (hit) / left arm (reverse hit), the angle of right and left leg, and the distance of leg. With these result, hopefully can be used as refferences in the practice, specifically on basic technics, hit and reverse hit. Data took from 6 man national hockey athletes (professional) and 6 man Surabaya hockey athletes (beginner). The test had done on each athletes did hit and reverse hit on 5 times that recorded used Handycam Sony HDR CX 450 then being analyzed used Software Dartfish Teampro 5.5. According to the analyze that used p level significant (0,05) that showed the significant difference from hit technic to the ball’s velocity from national hockey athletes (professional) is 19,22 m/s. It is better than Surabaya hockey athletes (beginer) with the ball’s velocity average is 12,55 m/s. The result also showed that there is significant difference to reverse hit technic with the ball’s velocity average is 18,07 m/s from national hockey athletes (professional). This result is better than from Surabaya hockey athletes (beginner) with the ball’s velocity average is 14,17 m/s. However, on the accuration, the result showed that there is no significant difference from both of the groups. In short, according to the result, the coach should more be focused to watch the angle of arm to the touch phase, the angle of right leg on the first phase to the next phase, the angle of left leg on the first phase, and the distance of leg on the first phase up to the next phase in doing basic technic; hit. Meanwhile, to do basic technic; reverse hit, the coach should more be focused to the angle of arm on the first phase and touch face, the angle of right leg on the touch phase and the next phase, and the angle of left leg on the first phase to the next phase.Keywords : accuration, ball’s velocity, reverse hit, hit, movement analyze.

Abstract

Soybean pod damage caused by N. viridula reached 61.37% of the total pods and 61.67% of the total seeds attacked. Efforts were made, namely the application of chemical insecticides made from active chlorpyrifos which can reduce the population of N. viridula to reach 57.4% and the insecticides made from deltamerin which are reducing the population by 51.6%. Control is needed that can reduce the negative effects caused by chemical insecticides, one of which is mechanical control. Mechanical control can be done one of them with augmentation and conservation tools. the research is by taking the eggs of N. viridula in the field and laying the eggs in an augmentation and conservation tool with several treatments of different filter cloth diameters, 0.1 mm; 0.3 mm; 0.2 mm; and 0.6 mm. Observations were made by looking at and counting the number of parasitoids that were able to pass through the filter cloth and those that did not pass through the filter cloth, followed by identification of the species of the parasitoid that was obtained. The results showed that the parasitoids were able to escape in all treatments but with varying amounts. The difference in number can be influenced by the presence of parasitoids in the field and the level of parasitoid parasitation. Likewise with Trichogramma sp also able to pass on all treatments. Therefore, the most suitable treatment is treatment with a 0.1 mm diameter filter cloth. The identified parasites were T. rowani and T. podisi

Abstract

One of the pests that attack the citrus plant is the scales of the citricola scales Coccus pseudomagnoliarium (Homoptera: Coccidae) which attack the branches and branches of the orange plant. This research aims to determine the level of pathogenicity of Aschersonia sp. in controlling C. pseudomagnoliarium pests in citrus plants. This research was conducted by knowing the level of pathogenicity of Aschersonia sp. in C. pseudomagnoliarium pests based on observations of C. pseudomagnoliarium nymph mortality variables, mycosis, mummification, and LC50 values (Lethal Concentration 50) and LT50 (Lethal Time 50). This research can provide information on the pathogenicity of Aschersonia sp. against C. pseudomagnoliarium in citrus plants. The highest percentage of mortality occurred at the treatment density of 109 spores/ml with a value of 77.50% and the lowest percentage of mortality occurred at the treatment density of 105 spores/ml with a value of 15.00%. LC values indicate that the spores density of 2.8 × 107 spores/ml has been able to kill 50% of the test insects, while to kill 90% of the test insects requires a density of 2.4 × 1010 spores/ml and to kill 95% of the test insects requires a density 1.6 × 1011 spores/ml. The LT50 calculation results show that the 1 × 109 spore density treatment has the smallest LT50 value of 3.11 days.

Abstract

Liriomyza huidobrensis Blanchard was originally described in Argentina and has now been found worldwide. In Indonesia, this species was first recorded on potato in 1994 in Bogor, West Java. The failure of quarantine procedure is blamed for introduction of LMF worldwide. In most cases, cultivation of vegetables such as potato as a cash crop has relied heavily on the use of pesticides, often excessively so with growers frequently spraying on a calendar basis, irrespective of the level of the pest population. Surveys have been conducted on vegetables farmers in the Bromo highlands region of East Java, Indonesia on the perceived importance of L. huidobrensis and the control methods adopted. the results of the survey suggested that LMF infestation in the Bromo Highlands Region has become a very serious problem, almost certainly due to the misuse of insecticides
