Abstract

The idea of e-mail brings this world into the revolution in digital information. Today, e-mail is a communication media which is very popular. In order to send and receive e-mail, it needs a server which provide email service. This application usually calls Mail Transfer Agent (MTA). One of MTA that usually used is Zimbra. This research tries to implement and optimize the mail server Zimbra which install in operating system Centos 5.0. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of traffic in relation to data transmission which arrived from severalnodes by applying 802.11 protocol with CSMA/CA method. The simulation was performed using MATLAB with 5nodes and 16 data packets with simulation time of 600 ms. The result of this experiment shows that theutilization of CSMA/CA as protocol provides better results than CSMA. Abstract

Rapid development of the City of Jakarta were followed by increased population. This phenomenon have an effect of creating more unfortunate people. As a consequence, the Local Government of Jakarta requires to build more social and public facilities. Therefore, informaton system becomes very important to provide information to public regarding the location of the facilities. The system is based-on Geographic Information System (GIS). Abstract

Nowadays, the development of programming language given rise to the creation of new software which includes application, operating system and programming language. Programming language Gentee is one of the new programming language where its features and structures similar to C language.Gentee was developed based-on C library and has a procedural characteristics. This research was conducted to compare between C language and Gentee. Gentee may be used for the development of standard application as well as web-based application. Abstract

Along with the advancement of Internet technology, currently launched Broadband Wireless Access (BWA). This technology is very popular in residencial area. In this research, implementation of BWA in Tanjung Mas Raya Estate will be explained. The concept used in this case study is RT/RW Net, which is implemented using wireless technology in the frequency of 3.3 GHz. This system will be used as communication forum between houses, such as information exchange, expressing opinion, online polling via email, chat and web portal. Likewise his matter with that is hop for by all the elements of the framer of the system in the Pancoranmas community health centre, the patient 's satisfaction is not enough only well not him the community health centre, professional him the doctor along with medical him, but also depend from fast and to be precise the information service that is need by the patient. Abstract

Nowadays, handwriting recognition has been widely used for analyzing signature, reading address as well aschanging text to hypertext. Common steps in handwriting recognition system consist of pre-processing,segmentation, feature extraction, classification and post-processing. This research describes segmentationmethods for handwriting character which acquired using online device. Characters used in this research are 19latin alphabets. In the first step, pre-processing is taken place by removing noise manually. The next step iscalculating the speed of writing. The acquired speed value is further used to calculate acceleration by applyinglow-passfilter. As shown in the figure, it is found that there are many peak change has been identified so thatlow-pass filter is also used to reduce the number of segment. Too many segments may increase the difficulties ofthe next process. This research employs 4 segmentation methods, such as Positive Negative Acceleration,Positive Positive Acceleration, Negative Positive Acceleration and Minimum Speed.
