Abstract

Development of science and technology enable people to communicate each others.Companies are competing to produce quality products at an affordable price, as well asthe brand that is easily remembered by consumers, taking into account the environment inwhich the product will be marketed. This study aimed to assess the effect of product,price, brand, and the environment on consumer purchase intention. The study populationsare students, with a sample of 153 respondents. Data obtained through a questionnaire,and then analyzed with multiple regressions. The results showed that simultaneously,product, price, brand, and environment influence on purchase intention.Key Words: Product, Advertising, Brand, Environment, Purchase Intention.

Abstract

The study is an impact assessment of Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement(IJEPA) trade agreement in goods for Indonesia and Japan countries. The econometricanalysis approach has been used to assess the impact of IJEPA toward the two countriesfrom two sides : export contribution to national income and the export contributiongrowth. The result is at macro level, in which both Indonesia and Japan gain benefits ofIJEPA. Yet, Indonesia received more benefits than Japan from the increased exportcontribution to national income by amount and by percentage, and from leverage towardthe export contribution.Key Word : free trade area, preferensia tradel, export, impact assessment

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of employee empowerment and good corporategovernance to company performance, particularly on small and medium enterprises(SMEs). SMEs for these long are more important in promoting economic growth, thereforeincreasing the performance of SMEs needed to get the most attention in this study.Study sample was 101 managers or small business owner with a purposive samplingtechnique sampling. Data collection method is done by using a questionnaire. Based onthe results of research using moderating regression analysis (RMA), employeeempowerment has a significant effect on the performance of the company. Corporategovernance has a significant effect on the performance of the company. Interaction ofemployee empowerment and corporate governance does not affect the performance of thecompany, in the sense that corporate governance is not able to moderate the relationshipempowering employees with the company’s performance.Key Words: Empowerment of employees, Corporate Governance, Performance, SMEs

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the influence of financial ratios such as Capital AdequacyRatio (CAR), BOPO, Net Interest Margin (NIM), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), and Loanto Deposit Ratio (LDR) on bank performance which is measured by Return on Asset(ROA). Data used is financial statements of 10 commercial banks during the years 2008-2011 with largest assets in Indonesia. This financial statement has been audited by BankIndonesia. Analysis technique used is multiple regression. The results showed that thefinancial performance (ROA) is influenced by market risks (NIM) and liquidity (LDR).Key Words: financial ratio, financial performance, commercial bank, risk market,liquidity risk

Abstract

This study aims to measure the performance of the technical efficiency of the conventional commercial banks during the period 2008-2009 by using non-parametric method of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Test results showed that the total of all conventional commercial banks during the period 2008-2009 has not shown that optimal performance in which the level of technical efficiency is still below 100 percent. Appalling conditions, the efficiency of national banks experienced a decline of 73.50% in 2008 fell to 69.61% in 2009. With the advantages possessed in the management of banks, foreign-owned banks generate higher performance efficiency than domestically owned banks. For the whole bank, in 2008 there were 97 banks that have the performance of inefficiency and down to 96 banks in 2009.Key Words: bank efficiency, DEA, bank size, domestic bank, foreign bank
