Abstract

This article is a potrait of constructing frame of mind in writing, communication and human being. Communication is a process of transforming idea to the other in which the idea can be formed through encoding process to be reformed and reconstructed in decoding process by receiver. The new order framework is the new paradigm of mind. Further more, writing is an action to pour idea to be sedimented and embeded in the form of documented written. Related to writing, communication means transfering message from sender to the other either verbal and or non-verbal process. On the other hand, humaniora is a realm of meaning within human spirit to be humanized and civilized by oneself through education. Educating human being is also a teaching and learning process toward oneself-personalization. The personalization is so called humanization process.

Abstract

Article talks about student center learning theory related to face-to-face learning at class, how its implementation in the class, and the best practice related to learning activity to increase student center learning. There are some activities that could be done in the process of learning that support student center learning, including group discussion. Advantages in the effective group discussion are the increasing of their understanding towards discussed material and the increasing of social relationship among them. This is assumed to have positive impact to learning process, that is increasing knowledge constructivism and student individual, especially from social behavior. Thus in implementing the effective group discussion is a challenge to lecturers in high numbered student class.

Abstract

Globalization and the advancement of information and communication technology has helped people to communicate in ways we never imagined before. The computer technology advancement has been attached to communication tools, like radio, television, telephone, cellular phone, smart phone, or even tablets PC; has made people around the world, including Indonesia, is going to globalized communication changing. Human culture is always developed according to the existing technology advancement. Thus information technology is growing with many variants that made people keep looking for the latest invention in communicating. Communication that facilitated by new mediums has made communication theorists look back to the previous communication theories.

Abstract

A variety of interior now days have become diversly demand following on the customer needs as the visitor in the public space. Nowadays, department store start narrowing down its service facilities based on visitor needs such as children indoor playground, pray room, and nursery room. Nowdays mothers are aware of the importance to breastfeed exclusively their baby in their first six months; Breastfeeding is the new lifestyle. Nevertheless, there are only a few rooms that fully supported breastfeeding activity in public area. This journal will give the idea about a proper interior should be applied in the nursery room and the advantages of being supported to the breastfeeding activity for management mall or company who are providing the room as their services. Data are given by analysis and comparing the proper or deficient interior on several nursery rooms. In conclude, facilitating an appropriate, comfort and hygienist rooms for mother and baby are one of the approach to be acknowledged as the excellent services by the customer.

Abstract

Democracy is good, especially which existed in law-based (rechtsstaat) countries and not power-based (machtsstaat) countries. Democracy in law-based country should match the ethic principles and morality so it could run in the right track. Government is based on constitutional system (foundation system) not based on absolutism (unlimited power). Article is about the on-going implementation of democracy in Indonesia; which should suit the democracy values, such as ending argument in peaceful and democratic way, ensuring the peaceful changing in community and holding regular leader’s changing.

Abstract

A good logo is a reflection of a corporate identity, vision and mission, as well as a summary of the company's character. Feng shui is the ancient Chinese science of topography is believed to affect the success of making a good logo. According to Feng shui, every color, shape, letters, and numbers can affect the energy contained in the company logo. And these factors also have a grouping of the elements of each, a case of elements of earth, metal, fire, wood, and water. If the combination of the elements is wrong, it will create a destructive energy flowing so that hamper the pace of corporate fortunes. With the approach of the study and literature review, this article will explain how the relationship between the selection of colors, shapes, letters, and numbers in accordance with Feng Shui and may still have some artistic value.

Abstract

In some research of culture and psychology, there has been found diversity cultural differences. Based on the fact, appeared questions like how it all started; what happens during the developing area that make humans from different culture has different attitude and behavior; what effects caused by environment like parents, peers, schools and social organizations for the differences. These questions are interesting to be found the answers, because it could give basic understanding about the cause of cultural attitude and behavior differences. This article is not purposed to answer all the questions, but it will try to find out how the enculturation process happens based on the existed research result. The discussion will be focused on the influence of parents, siblings, peers, and other organizations like daycare, education and religion system.

Abstract

Article aims to find variety of interpretations on Eldorado poem, following the readers’ internal factors, such as societal norms, personal values and past experiences influence the interpretations. Data generated for this study are acquired through field research, in which questionnaires are used as data collecting instrument. The respondents are from third semester students of English Literature in Bina Nusantara University. The finding shows that interpretations of Eldorado include 44% ideas about failure, 24% ideas about perseverance, and 25.33% ideas about taking a journey. In comparison to Eldorado’s more neutral interpretation, it could be said that more respondents prefer to discuss the poem as the journey of life. It can be concluded that different societal norms, personal values and past experiences cause different kinds of interpretations, in which past experience becomes the most influential factor.

Abstract

Screen printing is one of printing techniques. It has its own characteristic and uniqueness in the printing process, so it has customer likeability. Besides as printing media, screen printing is a media to promote and to gather creative ideas in reproduction printing technique. Communication could be understood as message, idea or information delivery process to other people that using specific facilities or equipment to influence or change the receiver’s behavior. T-Shirt as one message delivery media has important part in creative industry. Screen printing technique has different characteristic. T-Shirt as screen printing media is highly effective in supporting promotion and design work appreciation media.

Abstract

As the advancement of digital imaging technology, this urges internal actors to be more accurate and explorative in producing visual communication work with photography element and digital touching process. Digital process ability with no photographical ability will produce raw and anomaly visual work of art. Besides, audience is smarter and more appreciative towards quality of visual appearance in several modern communication media. Film poster of Sang Pemimpi is a case reflection of general digital in visual communication work that has gap among communication product content according to the brand of the film. Photography element composition is melted with bondless pile among the objects. Logical photography as bonding bridge of visual logic is weak in execution; where we could see it has less digital process commercial market need with the supporting resources.
