Abstract

This article discusses aout the knowledge management system implementation as growth tool at PT Intimap. The purpose of this study is to give solution to problems faced by PT Intimap, related to knowledge and the resources they own. Method used for the system development is the SDLC. Analysis shows that PT Intimap is a company with vast amount of knowledge. However, the knowledge has not been managed very carefully. Hence, there is a need to an integrated system, where all employees can put their knowledge and look for what they want to know within the system.

Abstract

Water, oil and gas inside the earth are stored in the pores of the reservoir rock. In the world of petroleum industry, calculation of volume of the oil that can be recovered from the reservoir is something important to do. This calculation involves the calculation of the velocity of fluid flow by utilizing the principles and formulas provided by the Fluid Dynamics. The formula is usually applied to the fluid flow passing through a well defined control volume, for example: cylinder, curved pipe, straight pipes with different diameters at the input and output, and so forth. However, because of reservoir rock, as the fluid flow medium, has a wide variety of possible forms of the control volumes, hence, calculation of the velocity of the fluid flow is becoming difficult as it would involve calculations of fluid flow velocity for each control volume. This difficulties is mainly caused by the fact that these control volumes, that existed in the rock, cannot be well defined. This paper will describe a method for calculating this fluid flow velocity of the control volume, which consists of a combination of laboratory measurements and the use of some theories in the Fluid Dynamics. This method has been proofed can be used for calculating fluid flow velocity as well as oil recovery in reservoir rocks, with fairly good accuration.

Abstract

The analysis of seismic refraction data by the generalized reciprocal method can be used for delineating undulating refractors. The forward and reverse times of arrival at different geophones with XY distance along a refraction profile, are used for calculating time depth. The seismic wave velocity in refractor may be obtained from velocity analysis function, and the depth of refractor under each geophone is obtained from time-depths function. This method has been applied at one line of seismic refraction measurement that was 440 m long with 45 geophone positions. The measurement obtained 20 m as the optimum XY-value and 2250 m/s as the velocity of seismic wave in refractor, and the undulating refractor topography with the depths varies 10.4 – 22.1 m. The optimum XY-value was obtained from approximate calculation derived from the observation, that was indicated the absent of undetected layer.

Abstract

Play is something important for children development. In fact, there are many children who can not play as they should. Even playgrounds provided tend not to be able to function optimally. Even there is a tendency of provided playgounds abandoned by children. One example is the generation Z, highly technologyliterate children or called net generation. They would rather to interact with computers and communicate with the online system than meeting their friends. It seems to the generation Z that space is not limited by physical things, because they can create their spaces in the virtual status. Noting this indication, the existence of parks and playgorunds provided for public (including children) to do any activities, is likely to be reviewed. The low level of children visit illustrates that parks/playgrounds do not much interest them.

Abstract

The use of diverse database technology in enterprise today can not be avoided. Thus, technology is needed to generate information in real time. The purpose of this research is to discuss a database replication technology that can be applied in heterogeneous database environments. In this study we use Windows-basedMS SQL Server database to Linux-based Oracle database as the goal. The research method used is prototyping where development can be done quickly and testing of working models of the interaction process is done through repeated. From this research it is obtained that the database replication technolgy using Oracle Golden Gate can be applied in heterogeneous environments in real time as well.

Abstract

E-learning is a media that used in order to help learning process. This paper aims to determine the components that support Binusmaya to become one of e-learning media. It also describes the benefits that can be provided by binusmaya as a learning media. Additionally, this paper analysis the constraints that must beconsidered in implementing Binusmaya so that it can give benefit optimally. Data and information used in this paper are obtained from several books, website, journal and questionnaires related with topic. The result from this paper is expected to provide information and knowledge about binusmaya as a learning media based elearning.

Abstract

Mentoring supports the success of student’s study in almost all colleges. Mentoring activities include consulting, mentoring and enrichment materials, and monitoring the achievement of study for all students. Along with the growing number of students, encountered several obstacles in the process of mentoring such as the limitations of time and place to hold mentoring, the availability schedule given by the mentor, and the inadequate number of mentors. Research methods used include field studies, literary studies, problem identification, and problem analysis. To provide appropriate solutions in response to the existing problems, an information system of mentoring is designed.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the feasibility of the development of mobile enterprise strategic plan, analyze the academic process and the utilization of information technology (IT), and generate documentation IT strategic planning by implementing Mobile Enterprise Architecture in the academic process of Atma Jaya University in Makassar. Data were taken from distributing questionnaires to 297 respondents and conducting interviews to 18 respondents. Data were examined using SWOT analysis, the incorporation of academic scorecard analysis and IT balanced scorecard analysis, financial analysis, as well as analytic hierarchy process (AHP). SWOT analysis results indicate that case study is in a weak position, which possibly never take advantage of opportunities since the weakness of the stand or the power is not enough to work on it. In addition, the results of the performance analysis of the utilization of information technology using the Balanced Scorecard analysis show that the average performance is sufficient. The result of documentation of IT strategic planning was analyzed with financial analysis indicating the feasibility of implementation because it provides benefits for university of 141,32%. Furthermore, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the priority of IT strategy proposals shows that the main priority is to develop portal for student and lecturer.

Abstract

The stability of embankment over soft soil is influenced by several factors such as subsoil and filling material properties, embankment geometry, ground water level and working load. This paper will present the analysis of influencing of soft soil thickness and embankment geometry to the stability of embankment. The analysis will be conducted using Slope/W by varying the thickness of soft soil and embankment geometry with certain embankment height and soft soil and fill material properties. The thickness of soft soil is varies in range of 2m to 15m, whereas the slope of embankment is varies in 4 condition i.e. 1:1 (vertical : horizontal), 1:1.5, 1:2, and 1:2.5, as well as the top width of embankment from 10m to 40m, with the output is factor of safety of embankment. The analysis result show the factor of safety is decreased when the top side of embankment is wider as well as when the slope of embankment is gentler. The analysis also show the influence of soft soil thickness to the embankment stability is limited to certain depth only that is in range of 7m to 10m, then the factor of safety remains constant.
