Abstract

Sustainable home design implements a sustainability system , in which the design can meet the needs of both current and future residents as well as the environment. Sustainable design is applied in order to save the environment and natural resources by minimizing its use. The house is designed as a whole by considering the management of water, waste and electricity. Social interactions and relationships between the environment and the residents nearby are also expected to be sustainable. Regarding to the needs of residents of the city whichare diverse and dense, the house design implements a modular system, with the container material which suits the needs of its inhabitants. The modular system is objected to make easy the house improvement, assembility, and material reusage. Prefabricated process is also implemented, considering the transportation and construction. Thus the range of sustainable home design with modular systems in a dense region of North Jakarta meets the needs of the community and contributes to environment sustainability.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to measure risks to identify company's assets and analyze risks, and to do strategic planning of security protection and minimize risk. Research used case study by reading materials dealing with the OCTAVE-S method. Observation was done directly to the relating parties through an interview, as well as using a questionnaire based on the OCTAVE-S method. The result obtained from this research is risk management of information technology in order to minimize the risks. Based on the findings obtained, it is expected company can identify potential risks and mitigate them efficiently and effectively.

Abstract

Adaptation is essential to manage the problem of climate change. In order to meet the challenge, this paper proposes an adaptive building envelope system that can optimize its configuration by responding environmental changes to achieve new levels of sustainable performance and energy efficiency. Most current adaptive building envelope uses kinetic techniques make its formation transformable. However, the use of kinetic components such as a large amount of interactive motorized system that requires electrical power may alsocause further decrease the building energy efficiency. This paper proposes a camshaft mechanism system for adaptive building envelope that uses less motors, controllers, and sensors. This system uses pre-programmed analysis data of daily solar radiation changes to parametrically drive the number of rotation phase and length of nose (Lobe Lift) that generates the shape of camshaft. The camshaft then controls the values of opening and closing of the building envelope components. The advantages of this system are less energy consumption, less maintenance and lower cost since it uses fewer motors, controllers and wiring. In conclusion, this paper has developed a prototypical tool that facilitates a new approach to energy-efficient kinetic buildings.

Abstract

Problems in building e-business is the number of influential factors that really should be considered in the design, especially from the aspect of a relatively bad infrastructure in Indonesia. By doing appropriate design, it can at least reduce the impact due to various shortcomings that exist, it is intended that the users are able to surf comfortably and safely in a business website in cyberspace. In managing e-Business, there are business models that can be done by the businessman in the virtual world, but the e-Business models vary according to the character and culture of each region. What e-Business models are suitable to be applied in Indonesia, according to the character and culture of Indonesia, as well as the ability of the existing infrastructure will be described in this article. One solution is the utilization of social networking that is widely used, even though there are positive and negative sides of it. Then, what kinds of advantages are gained, in both for managing the site and as well as benefits for the customers

Abstract

In the current age of globalization there has been a new paradigm shift in the business world and has given rise to new demands on higher education institutions, it is caused by the development of competition which is characterized by interdependence of economic change and the development of information technology as the backbone of the process the business of a company. Competition in the world of college education today is increasingly heavy and important. Each college is required to have an added value in order to win the competition with other universities. The increasing public demand for formal education, especially higher education, makes college as a strategic sector that is expected to produce quality human resources. College success is largely determined by the quality of service provided, which can be identified service quality through customer satisfaction in this case are students and faculty. In order to improve customer satisfaction, to be able to compete in the era of globalization and alsoto provide bigger profit, then every university is doing a research to determine the factors that influence the information systems services to customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This research is to foster a good connection between company and customers. For customers, e-CRM will accommodate in interation and transaction with the company. This research is done because there are still weaknesses for customer’s service. The research method used is literature, analysis method, and also designing method in identifying system needs then design one supporting system for the company. The research result is a CRM website that gives up-to-date information and suitable for customer needs. Therefore, CRM is hoped to help company giving a better service to customers.

Abstract

In making controller, there must be knowledge about component controlling functions that used for controller designing. In the control unit, it needs simple method as micro programming. This micro programming is to create a micro program in binary numbering that used for controlling pin’s component controller and outside the controller. Controller design in general needs several prerequisites, which are digital system and controller and assembly language.

Abstract

IT Project’s succesfulness can be measured from some factors such as project’s time completion, project’s cost and project’s quality. These 3 factors, at least  should be as planned, means that on time, on budget and on quality, or  better than it has agreed. That’s why a regular project progress update has become a very important factor because it can be used by management to control the project, as well as an alert mechanism or early warning sign whether or not the project is on track or off track. This paper adopts the earned value analysis (EVA) that is used to monitor IT project progress, because EVA is a simple formula whilst able to provide a comprehensive information to support decision making.

Abstract

A company that manufactures finished goods often faces a shortage of raw materials, due to the determination of the quantity of raw material ordering improper because it is done by intuition and the lack of raw material inventory reserves. This resulted in costs because inefficient production processes are inhibited or had to perform an emergency procurement of raw materials to meet customer orders. The company seeks to use the method in determining the order quantity of raw material, comprising the steps of (1) collecting historical data of raw material use, step (2) forecasting needs raw materials, step (3) calculating the order quantity forecasting based on the data by comparing the deterministic method and probabilistic methods. Calculating safety stock for each raw material is done so as to cope with the situation outside of normal conditions, such a surge in orders. In its design, the system will be developed using the Unified Modeling Language modeling language (UML) on the basis of the concept of object-oriented analysis and design (Object Oriented Analysis and Design). With the proposed implementation of the information system, the company can estimate the need for raw materials more quickly and accurately, and can determine the order quantity that is tailored to the needs. So that the costs associated with ordering and storage of raw materials can be minimized.

Abstract

XYZ Company has a program to predict leasing income that only predict in constant condition where every tenant assumed for leasing renewal. This research is done to build accurate income prediction system that accommodate in making strategic decision towards the company. Premier data collecting is through direct interview with the company management. The analysis is through data training from the previous years to build neural network model. The analysis result shows that this model has produced error total value that is smaller than the previous error total value in years before. Therefore, it could be concluded that data mining with neural network technique that produced more accurate leasing income that could help the company making decision based on the hidden information in the database.
