Abstract

Use of mobile services is an integral part of today’s life. Organizations, government agencies as well as service providers in the market employ mobile services or application in reaching their citizens or users worldwide. Notably, service failure issues might frustrate users in using mobile service, but usually, service providers would employ the strategy of recovery as solution. Recovery strategy aims to sustain the relationship with users following service failure. Somehow, the factors that might impact recovery process are unclear. It is also unclear if users will use the service again following the completion of recovery process. Hence, in this study, a survey on 743 adults was carried out, and the data were analyzed using SEM to determine the factors that impact users’ recovery satisfaction the most and the impact of recovery satisfaction on citizens loyalty to use mobile government in the future. The finding of this study illustrated that expect of self-efficacy, all factors proposed in the research model found to has a significant impact on recovery satisfaction. Among all the supported hypothesis, the highest impact on recovery satisfaction comes from perceived trust in government as the initial predictor to use the service

Abstract

Traditionally, rank order absolute difference (ROAD) has a great similarity capacity for identifying whether the pixel is SPN or noiseless because statistical characteristic of ROAD is desired for a noise identifying objective. As a result, the decision based adaptive median filter (DBAMF) that is found on ROAD technique has been initially proposed for eliminating an impulsive noise since 2010. Consequently, this analyzed report focuses to examine the similarity capacity of denoising method found on DBAMF for diverse SPN Surrounding. In order to examine the denoising capacity and its obstruction of the denoising method found on DBAMF, the four original digital images, comprised of Airplane, Pepper, Girl and Lena, are examined in these computational simulation for SPN surrounding by initially contaminating the SPN with diverse intensity. Later, all contaminated digital images are denoised by the denoising method found on DBAMF. In addition, the proposed denoised image, which is computed by this DBAMF denoising method, is confronted with the other denoised images, which is computed by Standard median filter (SMF), Gaussian Filter and Adaptive median filter (AMF) for demonstrating the DBAMF capacity under subjective measurement aspect.

Abstract

Optimal power generation along the cascaded Kainji-Jebba hydroelectric power system had been very difficult to achieve. The reservoirs operating heads are being affected by possible variation in impoundments upstream, stochastic factors that are weather-related, availability of the turbo-alternators and power generated at any time. Proposed in this paper, is an algorithm for solving the optimal release of water on the cascaded hydropower system based on steepest descent method. The uniqueness of this work is the conversion of the infinite dimensional control problem to a finite one, the introduction of clever techniques for choosing the steepest descent step size in each iteration and the nonlinear penalty embedded in the procedure. The control algorithm was implemented in an Excel VBA® environment to solve the ormulated Lagrange problem within an accuracy of 0.03%. It is recommended for use in system studies and control design for the optimal power generation in the cascaded hydropower system.

Abstract

Content based image retrieval (CBIR) has become an important factor in medical imaging research and is obtaining a great success. More applications still need to be developed to get more powerful systems for better image similarity matching, and as a result getting better image retrieval systems. This research focuses on implementing low-level descriptors to maximize the quality of the retrieval of medical images. Such a research is supposed to set a better result in terms of image similarity matching. In this research a system that uses low-level descriptors is introduced. Three descriptors have been developed and applied in an attempt to increase the accuracy of image matching. The final results showed a qualified system in medical images retrieval specially that the low-level image descriptors have not been used yet in the image similarity matching in the medical field.

Abstract

The effects of red light-emitting phosphor CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Mn2+ on the optical properties of single-layer remote phosphor structure (SRPS) and dual-layer remote phosphor structure (DRPS) are the focus of this study. The differences in color quality and luminous flux (LF) of white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) between these two structures are also revealed and demonstrated based on the Mie theory. SRPS consists of one mixed phosphor layer betweenCaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Mn2+ andYAG:Ce3+particles, while DRPS includes two separated layers: red phosphor layer and yellow phosphor layer. In this work, 5% SiO2 is added into the phosphor layers to increase scattering abilities. Discrepancies in structures greatly affect the optical characteristics of WLEDs. The results showed that the color rendering index (CRI) increased with the concentration in both structures with nearly equal values. Meanwhile, color quality scale (CQS) of DPRS is 74 at ACCTs ranging from 5600K to 8500K, higher than CQS of SRPS which is only 71 at 8500K. In addition, the luminous flux of DRPS is significantly higher than SRPS at 2% -14% of CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Mn2+. In summary, DRPS is better for color quality and lumen outputin comparison to SRPS and adding the right amount of red phosphor can enhance CQS and LF.

Abstract

Solar cells are highly sensitive to temperature, which affects its operating parameters. The study has its aim in accessing the impact of temperature (in excess above the maximum operating cell temperature) and irradiance source on the efficiency of polycrystalline photovoltaic (PV) solar panels in an environment where the temperature and irradiance level can be fully controlled. For the study to achieve its aim, a solar box and tungsten light bulbs were used to create an environment where the irradiance level and the temperature can be controlled. The solar panel was placed inside the solar box facing the light source while the irradiance level and temperature were measured and held constant. Results show a steady decrease in voltage with increasing temperature while the performance ratio and efficiency of the photovoltaic module followed a similar trend as that of voltage once the temperature exceeds the maximum operating cell temperature. Results also show the output voltage of the photovoltaic to be higher under the tungsten light than the sun, but the efficiency achieved by the photovoltaic under the sun far exceeds that obtained under the tungsten light.

Abstract

The paper presents the issues related to predicting the amount of energy generation, in a particular wind power plant comprising five generators located in south-eastern Poland. The location of wind power plant, the distribution and type of applied generators, and topographical conditions were given and the correlation between selected weather parameters and the volume of energy generation was discussed. The primary objective of the paper was to select learning data and perform forecasts using artificial neural networks. For comparison, conservative forecasts were also presented. Forecasts results obtained shaw that Artificial Neural Networks are more universal than conservative method. However their forecast accuracy of forecasts strongly depends on the selection of explanatory data

Abstract

As a generalization of the concept SLH space, we introduce the concept of slightly strongly locally homogeneous (SSLH) spaces. Also, we introduce the concepts of slightly dense set as well as slightly separable space, and use them to introduce two new types of slightly countable dense homogeneous spaces. Several results, relationships, examples and counter-examples concerning these concepts are obtained.

Abstract

With integrated circuit scales in the 22-nm regime, conventional planar MOSFETs have approached the limit of their potential performance. To overcome short channel effects 'SCEs' that appears for deeply scaled MOSFETs beyond 10nm technology node many new device structures and channel materials have been proposed. Among these devices such as Gate-all-around FET. Recentely, junctionless GAA MOSFETs JL-GAA MOSFETs have attracted much attention since the junctionless MOSFET has been presented. In this paper, DC characteristics of an n-type JL-GAA MOSFET are presented using a 3-D quantum transport model .This new generation device is conceived with the same doping concentration level in its channel source/drain allowing to reduce fabrication complexity . The performance of our 3D JL-GAA structure with a 20nm gate length and a rectangular cross section have been obtained using SILVACO TCAD tools allowing also to study short channel effects. Our device reveals a favorable on/off current ratio and better SCE characteristics compared to an inversion-mode GAA transistor. Our device reveals a threshold voltage of 0.55 V, a sub-threshold slope of 63mV / decade which approaches the ideal value, an Ion / Ioff ratio of 10e + 10 value and a drain induced barrier lowring (DIBL) value of 98mV / V.

Abstract

In this work, new design and simulation of a microstrip power limiter based on Schottky diode is presented. The proposed circuit is a zero bias power limiter built by associating a transmission line in parallel to a four Schottky rectifier bridge circuit. The first circuit using a single stage rectifier is analyzed and simulated. To improve this single stage, a second and final limiter is designed with two stages rectifier. Simulation results for the final circuit show an ideal limiter behavior and good performance of limiting rate up to 20dB for a threshold input power varying from 5 dBm to 30 dBm. While insertion loss remains low at small signal.
