The use of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been increasing rapidly in the civilian and military applications, because of UAV's high-performance communication with ground clients, especially for its intrinsic properties such as adaptive altitude, mobility, and flexibility. UAV deployment can be monitored and controlled through 5G wireless network as user equipment (UE) along with other devices. A highly directive microstrip patch antenna (MPA) could establish long-distance communication by overcoming air attenuation and reduce co-channel interference in the limited region if UAV uses a specifically dedicated band, which might enhance spatially reuse of the spectrum. Also, MPA is highly recommended for UAV because of its low weight, low cost, compact size, and flat shape. In this paper, we have designed a highly directive single-band 2×2 and 4×4 antenna array for 5.8 GHz and 28 GHz frequency respectively for UAV application in a focus to deploy UAV through 5G wireless network. Here, The Roger RT5880 (lossy) material utilize as a substrate due to its lower dielectric constant which achieves higher directivity and good mechanical stability. Inset feed technique used to feed antenna for lowering input impedance which provides higher antenna efficiency. The results show a wider bandwidth of 702 MHz and 1.596 GHz for 5.8 GHz and 28 GHz antenna array correspondingly with a compact size.

The purpose of this section is to study the problems with implementing technical and legal regulations for the development of public administration functions in the Russian Federation when using the internet of things (IoT). The introduction is based on an analysis of regulatory legal acts and presents the main strategic directions for the development of public administration functions in the Russian federation when using IoT. State reports, scientific literature, a system of technical and legal regulation are analyzed, and the main problems of implementing the IoT that impede the achievement of effective public administration are studied. The Russian practice of using IoT in various economic areas is investigated. Based on an analysis of the mechanisms for ensuring data safety of information technology users in the Russian federation, problems were investigated, such as the collecting data through IoT, including publicly available personal data in order to profile human activities, and creating of a digital twin of a person. The social constraints for introducing distributed registry technologies are users' distrust in the field of data privacy protection and mathematical algorithms that are used to establish trust in a digital environment instead of trusted centralized intermediaries; these problems were also analyzed. The Russian approach was analyzed in comparison to European experience in this field. To ensure information security and the possibility of its distribution, the IoT is revealed.

Modern electrified transportation systems feature increasing installed power and performance and correspondingly stray current phenomena and corrosion are receiving more attention in terms of contractual specifications and request of final validation of proposed solutions, as well as a maintenance program that can actively tackle stray current issues. The problem is complex for the system physical extension, difficult measurement conditions and variability of electrical parameters. This work considers validation of stray current protection performance, in terms of track voltage, track leakage and collected current, and impressed potential on structures along the right-ofway. The exemplification of the specifications of a hypothetical instrument and setup support the discussion.

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has drawn enormous attention from the research community as a promising technology for future wireless communications with increasing demands of capacity and throughput. Especially, in the light of fifth-generation (5G) communication where multiple internet-of-things (IoT) devices are connected, the application of NOMA to indoor wireless networks has become more interesting to study. In view of this, we investigate the NOMA technique in energy harvesting (EH) half-duplex (HD) decode-and-forward (DF) power-splitting relaying (PSR) networks over indoor scenarios which are characterized by log-normal fading channels. The system performance of such networks is evaluated in terms of outage probability (OP) and total throughput for delay-limited transmission mode whose expressions are derived herein. In general, we can see in details how different system parameters affect such networks thanks to the results from Monte Carlo simulations. For illustrating the accuracy of our analytical results, we plot them along with the theoretical ones for comparison.

Most of the controllers that were proposed to control the pneumatic positioning system did not consider the limitations or constraints of the system in their algorithms. Non-compliance with the prescribed system constraints may damage the pneumatic components and adversely affect its positioning accuracy, especially when the system is controlled in real-time environment. Model predictive controller (MPC) is one of the predictive controllers that is able to consider the constraint of the system in its algorithm. Therefore, constrained MPC (CMPC) was proposed in this study to improve the accuracy of pneumatic positioning system while considering the constraints of the system. The mathematical model of pneumatic system was determined by system identification technique and the control signal to the valves were considered as the constraints of the pneumatic system when developing the controller. In order to verify the accuracy and reliability of CMPC, repetitive experiments on the CMPC strategy was implemented. The existing predictive controller, that was used to control the pneumatic system such as predictive functional control (PFC), was also compared. The experimental results revealed that CMPC effectively improved the position accuracy of the pneumatic system compared to PFC strategy. However, CMPC not capable to provide a fast response as PFC.

The variation of the on-off current ratio is investigated when the asymmetrical junctionless double gate MOSFET is fabricated as a SiO2/high-k dielectric stacked gate oxide. The high dielectric materials have the advantage of reducing the short channel effect, but the rise of gate parasitic current due to the reduction of the band offset and the poor interface property with silicon has become a problem. To overcome this disadvantage, a stacked oxide film is used. The potential distributions are obtained from the Poission equation, and the threshold voltage is calculated from the second derivative method to obtain the on-current. As a result, this model agrees with the results from other papers. The on-off current ratio is in proportion to the arithmetic average of the upper and lower high dielectric material thicknesses. The on-off current ratio of 104 or less is shown for SiO2, but the on-off current ratio for TiO2 (k=80) increases to 107 or more.

Offensive posts in the social media that are inappropriate for a specific age, level of maturity, or impression are quite often destined more to unadult than adult participants. Nowadays, the growth in the number of the masked offensive words in the social media is one of the ethically challenging problems. Thus, there has been growing interest in development of methods that can automatically detect posts with such words. This study aimed at developing a method that can detect the masked offensive words in which partial alteration of the word may trick the conventional monitoring systems when being posted on social media. The proposed method progresses in a series of phases that can be broken down into a pre-processing phase, which includes filtering, tokenization, and stemming; offensive word extraction phase, which relies on using the soundex algorithm and permuterm index; and a post-processing phase that classifies the users’ posts in order to highlight the offensive content. Accordingly, the method detects the masked offensive words in the written text, thus forbidding certain types of offensive words from being published. Results of evaluation of performance of the proposed method indicate a 99% accuracy of detection of offensive words.

Recently, deep neural networks (DNNs) have been increasingly deployed in various healthcare applications, which are considered safety-critical applications. Thus, the reliability of these DNN models should be remarkably high, because even a small error in healthcare applications can lead to injury or death. Due to the high computations of the DNN models, DNNs are often executed on the graphics processing units (GPUs). However, the GPUs have been reportedly impacted by soft errors, which are extremely serious issues in the healthcare applications. In this paper, we show how the fault injection can provide a deeper understanding of DenseNet201 model instructions vulnerability on the GPU. Then, we analyze vulnerable instructions of the DenseNet201 on the GPU. Our results show that the most significant vulnerable instructions against soft errors PR, STORE, FADD, FFMA, SETP and LD can be reduced from 4.42% to 0.14% of injected faults, after we applied our mitigation strategy.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a vital form of the underlying technology of the internet of things (IoT); WSN comprises several energy-constrained sensor nodes to monitor various physical parameters. Moreover, due to the energy constraint, load balancing plays a vital role considering the wireless sensor network as battery power. Although several clustering algorithms have been proposed for providing energy efficiency, there are chances of uneven load balancing and this causes the reduction in network lifetime as there exists inequality within the network. These scenarios occur due to the short lifetime of the cluster head. These cluster head (CH) are prime responsible for all the activity as it is also responsible for intra-cluster and inter-cluster communications. In this research work, a mechanism named lifetime centric load balancing mechanism (LCLBM) is developed that focuses on CH-selection, network design, and optimal CH distribution. Furthermore, under LCLBM, assistant cluster head (ACH) for balancing the load is developed. LCLBM is evaluated by considering the important metrics, such as energy consumption, communication overhead, number of failed nodes, and one-way delay. Further, evaluation is carried out by comparing with ES-Leach method, through the comparative analysis it is observed that the proposed model outperforms the existing model.

In 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic has suddenly stopped society and changed human interaction. In this work, a thermoelectric generator wearable device for early fever detection symptoms is presented as a possible solution to avoid higher propagation of this disease. To identify a possible fever symptom, numerical and parametric simulations are developed using a highquality-refined hexahedral mesh. At first, a 2-pair-leg thermoelectric module has undergone simulations to establish temperature conditions, open-circuit voltage, and power output generation; and secondly, these previous results are extrapolated for a larger thermoelectric module containing 28 pair-leg of N-P type material. The numerical study shows that a maximum value of electrical power of 60.70 mW was reached for 28-pair-leg N-P type thermocouples under a constant temperature difference of 20 K.
