Abstract

This paper proposes an IRIS recognition and detection model for measuring the e-security. This proposed model consists of the following blocks: segmentation and normalization, feature encoding and feature extraction, and classification. In first phase, histogram equalization and canny edge detection is used for object detection. And then, Hough Transformation is utilized for detecting the center of the pupil of an IRIS. In second phase, Daugmen’s Rubber Sheet model and Log Gabor filter is used for normalization and encoding and as a feature extraction method GNS (Global Neighborhood Structure) map is used, finally extracted feature of GNS is feed to the SVM (Support Vector Machine) for training and testing. For our tested dataset, experimental results demonstrate 92% accuracy in real portion and 86% accuracy in imaginary portion for both eyes. In addition, our proposed model outperforms than other two conventional methods exhibiting higher accuracy.

Abstract

Unpredictable increase in power demands will overload the supply subsystems and insufficiently powered systems will suffer from instabilities, in which voltages drop below acceptable levels. Additional power sources are needed to satisfy the demand. Small capacity distributed generators (DGs) serve for this purpose well. One advantage of DGs is that they can be installed close to loads, so as to minimise loses. Optimum placements and sizing of DGs are critical to increase system voltages and to reduce loses. This will finally increase the overall system efficiency. This work exploits Quantum Evolutionary Algorithm (QEA) for the placements and sizing. This optimisation targets the cheapest generation cost. Quantum Evolutionary Algorithm is an Evolutionary Algorithm running on quantum computing, which works based on qubits and states superposition of quantum mechanics. Evolutionary algorithm with qubit representation has a better characteristic of diversity than classical approaches, since it can represent superposition of states.

Abstract

The research-based implementations towards Sentiment analyses are about a decade old and have introduced many significant algorithms, techniques, and framework towards enhancing its performance. The applicability of sentiment analysis towards business and the political survey is quite immense. However, we strongly feel that existing progress in research towards Sentiment Analysis is not at par with the demand of massively increasing dynamic data over the pervasive environment. The degree of problems associated with opinion mining over such forms of data has been less addressed, and still, it leaves the certain major scope of research. This paper will brief about existing research trends, some important research implementation in recent times, and exploring some major open issues about sentiment analysis. We believe that this manuscript will give a progress report with the snapshot of effectiveness borne by the research techniques towards sentiment analysis to further assist the upcoming researcher to identify and pave their research work in a perfect direction towards considering research gap.

Abstract

A physical connection of computer network must be made reliably. Breaking connection will cause communication between nodes (for example routers, switches, hosts) can be disconnected. One of the solutions is implemention of link aggregation (LA). LA integrates several of physical ports together to make a single logical communication link. Accordingly, there is load sharing traffic among the member port of the group, high-throughput increasing via a single link, and redundancy providing for broken links. We present the implementation of link aggregation using Ryu controller on Software Defined Network (SDN) topology. The results show that the implementation of SDN with OpenvSwitch and Ryu controller can successfully run link aggregation function to solve the problem of link failure.

Abstract

Edge detection is the process of segmenting an image by detecting discontinuities in brightness. So far, several standard segmentation methods have been widely used for edge detection. However, due to inherent quality of images, these methods prove ineffective if they are applied without any preprocessing. In this paper, an image preprocessing approach has been adopted in order to get certain parameters that are useful to perform better edge detection with the standard edge detection methods. The proposed preprocessing approach involves median filtering to reduce the noise in image and then Edge Detection technique is carried out. And atlast Standard edge detection methods can be applied to the resultant preprocessing image and its Simulation results are show that our preprocessed approach when used with a standard edge detection method enhances its performance.

Abstract

Design and simulation for reconfigurable Wilkinson Power Divider (WPD) related to WiMAX application is proposed in this paper. This proposed design relates to dual band WiMAX frequencies at 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz. The main purpose of this design is to design a switchable feeding network that can cover the WiMAX standards by reconfiguring the microstrip line length using PIN diode switches. Besides, the power divider also can be design and develop as power combiner due to the passive component structure and hence reciprocal. In this proposed Wilkinson power divider, different band of frequencies for WiMAX application are obtained by using PIN diode. By turning ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ the PIN diode, different frequencies are achieved between 2.5 and 3.5 GHz. This proposed design used Rogers RO4350 (er = 3.48, h = 0.508mm) as a substrate material and copper (thickness = 0.002 mm) related to patch of design. This simulation results showed that the S11 is less than -15dB; and S12 and S13 are better than -5dB. Based on these simulation results, the proposed WPD design using dual-band filter was well applied where it has better return loss (S11) with less than -15 dB for both WiMAX frequencies.

Abstract

Although, the area of software engineering has made a remarkable progress in last decade but there is less attention towards the concept of code reusability in this regards.Code reusability is a subset of Software Reusability which is one of the signature topics in software engineering. We review the existing system to find that there is no progress or availability of standard research approach toward code reusability being introduced in last decade. Hence, this paper introduced a predictive framework that is used for optimizing the performance of code reusability. For this purpose, we introduce a case study of near real-time challenge and involved it in our modelling. We apply neural network and Damped-Least square algorithm to perform optimization with a sole target to compute and ensure highest possible reliability. The study outcome of our model exhibits higher reliability and better computational response time.

Abstract

In this work, a Neuro-Fuzzy Controller network, called NFC that implements a Mamdani fuzzy inference system is proposed. This network includes neurons able to perform fundamental fuzzy operations. Connections between neurons are weighted through binary and real weights. Then a mixed binary-real Non dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA II) is used to perform both accuracy and interpretability of the NFC by minimizing two objective functions; one objective relates to the number of rules, for compactness, while the second is the mean square error, for accuracy. In order to preserve interpretability of fuzzy rules during the optimization process, some constraints are imposed. The  approach  is  tested  on  two  control examples:  a single  input  single  output (SISO) system  and  a  multivariable (MIMO) system.

This paper is a contribution to the analysis and modeling of a mechatronic system with dynamic behavior that is controlled by a digital computer. In this paper, a bibliographic research on mechatronic systems is presented by specifying a case study of the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Then, a methodology of systemic modeling of the ABS system based on two methods Structured Analysis Design Technique (SADT) and bond graph (BG) is proposed. Abstract

The paper proposes a design strategy to retain the true nature of the output in the event of occurrence of stuck at faults at the interconnect levels of digital circuits. The procedure endeavours to design a combinational architecture which includes attributes to identify stuck at faults present in the intermediate lines and involves a healing mechanism to redress the same. The simulated fault injection procedure introduces both single as well as multiple stuck-at faults at the interconnect levels of a two level combinational circuit in accordance with the directives of a control signal. The inherent heal facility attached to the formulation enables to reach out the fault free output even in the presence of faults. The Modelsim based simulation results obtained for the Circuit Under Test [CUT] implemented using a Read Only Memory [ROM], proclaim the ability of the system to survive itself from the influence of faults. The comparison made with the traditional Triple Modular Redundancy [TMR] exhibits the superiority of the scheme in terms of fault coverage and area overhead.
