Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC), code for error detection finds many applications in the field of digital communication, data storage, control system and data compression. CRC encoding operation is carried out by using a Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR). Serial implementation of CRC requires more clock cycles which is equal to data message length plus generator polynomial degree but in parallel implementation of CRC one clock cycle is required if a whole data message is applied at a time. In previous work related to parallel LFSR, hardware complexity of the architecture reduced using a technique named state space transformation. This paper presents detailed explaination of search algorithm implementation and technique to find number of XOR gates required for different CRC algorithms. This paper presents a searching algorithm and new technique to find the number of XOR gates required for different CRC algorithms. The comparison between proposed and previous architectures shows that the number of XOR gates are reduced for CRC algorithms which improve the hardware efficiency. Searching algorithm and all the matrix computations have been performed using MATLAB simulations.

Credit scoring is a procedure that exists in every financial institution. A way to predict whether the debtor was qualified to be given the loan or not and has been a major concern in the overall steps of the loan process. Almost all banks and other financial institutions have their own credit scoring methods. Nowadays, data mining approach has been accepted to be one of the well-known methods. Certainly, accuracy was also a major issue in this approach. This research proposed a hybrid method using CART algorithm and Binary Particle Swarm Optimization. Performance indicators that are used in this research are classification accuracy, error rate, sensitivity, specificity, and precision. Experimental results based on the public dataset showed that the proposed method accuracy is 78 %. In compare to several popular algorithms, such as neural network, logistic regression and support vector machine, the proposed method showed an outstanding performance.

Microgrid in power system has drawn wide attention due to its significant benefits in terms of sustainable energy system in recent years. This approach is the most economical alternative to conventional energy system which uses Renewable Energy (RE) resources. RE sources ensure pollution free and clean environment by emitting zero CO2. This paper proposes a design of a microgrid system using solar photovoltaics (PV) as the Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and a controlling method for managing the components of microgrid by using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The results show that microgrid system is promising as alternative to replace the fossil fuel based energy system. Integration of an effective controller can help to manage the loads and resources, resulting in more stable and reliable.

In this paper, a denoising method for heart sound signal based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is proposed. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, extensive simulations are performed using synthetic normal and abnormal heart sound data corrupted with white, colored, exponential and alpha-stable noise under different SNR input values. The performance is evaluated in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), root mean square error (RMSE), and percent root mean square difference (PRD), and compared with wavelet transform (WT) and total variation (TV) denoising methods. The simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms two other methods in removing three types of noises.

A compact planar antenna for dual band applications is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna has Dumbbell shaped defect on the ground plane and it is fed by Asymmetric coplanar strip(ACS). The antenna is printed on FR4 epoxy substrate and it has a compact size of 21× 19 × 1.6 mm3. The antenna exhibits a dual band of resonances at 3.4GHz and 5.5 GHz which is used for WiMAX/WLAN. The planar design, simple feeding techniques and compactness make it easy for the integration of the antenna into circuit boards. Details of the antenna design and simulated results are presented and discussed. Simulation tool, based on the method of moments (Mentor Graphics IE3D version 15.10) has been used to analyze and optimize the antenna. Various features such as compactness, simple con-figuration and low fabrication cost make the antenna is suitable for dual band wireless applications.

The goal of this present paper is to design, analysis the influence of the inductor geometrical parameters and the effect of the metal thickness on the quality factor-Q in integrated square spiral inductor using an efficient application of the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm. The inductors were optimized at 2.4 GHz to determinate their major geometrical dimensions (sp, w, din…) and their number of turns, for uses in radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFICs). The optimization results are validated by the simulation using an electromagnetic simulator (ADS-Momentum). Using matlab software, the study on the impact of the effect of geometrical parameters and the effect of metal thickness, on the factor of quality-Q of spiral inductors, is shown. We first reported that it is possible to improve Q-factors further by increasing the metal thickness, and in the design of inductor; a compromise must be reached between the value of w, n, sp and din to achieve the desired quality factor-Q and other electrical parameters.

This paper presents a new wideband microstrip circular patch antenna (MCPA) fed by proximity-coupled line with double-stub matching to achieve dual-band operation. Bandwidth extension is achieved by exciting higher-order modes in the circular radiating patch, and using two stubs to achieve adequate matching across the obtained two bands. The characteristics of the antenna such as reflection coefficient, impedance bandwidth, gain and radiation pattern are investigated and optimized through parametric studies using the CST Microwave Studio Suite. The antenna achieved a large relative bandwidth of 45.16% at the upper band, while the lower one has 10.3% relative bandwidth. The maximum achieved gain of the dual-band antenna in the 5.8GHz band is 4.62dBi while it is 4.85dBi in the upper band. The antenna has an overall size of 30×30×3.2mm3 corresponding to 0.58λ × 0.58 λ × 0.062 λ at the lower band of 5.8 GHz. The proposed antenna should be useful for WLAN and X-band communication systems.

Multi-hop routing protocol in cognitive radio mobile ad hoc networks (CRMANETs) is a critical issue. Furthermore, the routing metric used in multi-hop CRMANETs should reflect the bands availability, the links quality, the PU activities and quality of service (QoS) requirements of SUs. For the best of our knowledge, many of researchers investigated the performance of the different routing protocols in a homogeneous environment only. In this paper, we propose a heterogeneous cognitive radio routing protocol (HCR) operates in heterogeneous environment (i.e. the route from source to destination utilize the licensed and unlicensed spectrum bands). The proposed routing protocol is carefully developed to make a tradeoff between the channel diversity of the routing path along with the CRMANETs throughput. Using simulations, we discuss the performance of the proposed HCR routing protocol and compare it with the AODV routing protocol using a discrete-event simulation which we developed using JAVA platform.

The rainfall conditions across wide geographical location and varied topographic conditions of India throw challenge to researchers and scientists in predicting rainfall effectively. India is Agriculture based country and it mainly depends on rainfall. Seasons in India are divided into four, which is winter in January and February, summer is from March to May, monsoon is from June to September and post monsoon is from October to December. India is Agriculture based country and it mainly depends on rainfall. It is very difficult to develop suitable rainfall patterns from the highly volatile weather conditions. In this Paper, it is proposed that Map based Spatial Analysis of rainfall data of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states is made using R software apart from Hybrid Machine learning techniques. A Study will be made on rainfall patterns based on spatial locations. The Visual analytics were also made for effective study using statistical methods and Data Mining Techniques. This paper also introduced Spatial mining for effective retrieval of Remote sensed Data to deal with retrieval of information from the database and presents them in the form of map using R software.

The paper demonstrates the feasibility of an optimal backstepping controller for doubly fed induction generator based wind turbine (DFIG). The main purpose is the extract of maximum energy and the control of active and reactive power exchanged between the generator and electrical grid in presence of uncertainty. The maximum energy is obtained by applying an algorithm based on artificial bee colony approach. Particle swarm optimization is used to select optimal value of backstepping’s parameters. The simulation is carried out on 2.4 MW DFIG based wind turbine system. The optimized performance of the proposed control technique under uncertainty parameters is established by simulation results.
