A new dead-time compensation method of power inverter circuits is suggested and presented in this paper. The proposed method utilizes carrier based sinusoidal pulse width modulation technique to produce driving signals of the inverter power switches with dead-time correction capability. The proposed method able to eliminate dead-time effects such as reducing the waveform distortion of the inverter output current, and increasing the fundamental component amplitude of output current. An analysis of the proposed method is presented. Some computer simulations were carried out to investigate the principle operation, and to test performance of the new method. The developed method was validated through experimental test of H-bridge voltage source inverter circuits. The data obtained from the computer simulation and prototype experiments have confirmed that that the proposed method worked well compensating the dead-time in the voltage source power inverter circuits.

Nowadays internet has become more popular to each and every one. It is very sensitive to nodes or links failure due to many known or unknown issues in the network connectivity. Routing is the important concept in wired and wireless network for packet transmission. During the packet transmission many times some of the problems occur, due to this packets are being lost or nodes not able to transmit the packets to the specific destination. This paper discusses various issues and approaches related to the routing mechanism. In this paper, we present a review and comparison of different routing algorithms and protocols proposed recently in order to address various issues. The main purpose of this study is to address issues for packet forwarding like network control management, load balancing, congestion control, convergence time and instability. We also focus on the impact of these issues on packet forwarding.

In this paper, array theory in general has been discussed. Basic fundamentals of smart antenna and beamforming techniques using rectangular array theory is discussed. Two techniques, Matrix inversion and IDFT method , for their pros and cons were described which were used for beamforming. Both the techniques found to be useful as their areas of application differs on hardware background. The design of a fully spatial signal processor using rectangular array configuration is presented in this paper. It has wideband properties and, hence eliminates the requirement of different antenna spacing. Furthermore, frequency selectivity and rejecting unwanted signals gives the satisfactory performance for practical implementation.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v4i2.5860

This paper talks about the phenomenon of recurrence and using this concept it proposes a novel and a very simple and user friendly method to diagnose the neurological disorders by using the EEG signals. The mathematical concept of recurrence forms the basis for the detection of neurological disorders, and the tool used is MATLAB. Using MATLAB, an algorithm is designed which uses EEG signals as the input and uses the synchronizing patterns of EEG signals to determine various neurological disorders through graphs and recurrence plots

This article describes a mathematical model implemented in Matlab/Simulink to evaluate the performance of building integrated photovoltaic systems (BIPVS). The proposed methodology allows to model independently the solar panel, the photovoltaic (pv) generator, inverter and the grid to integrate them into a single model in Simulink in order to evaluate the performance of the complete system. The validation of the model was made on a BIPV system of 6 kWp installed in a building at the Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota, Colombia. The results indicate that there is a correlation greater than 0.9 between DC and AC power generated by the BIPV system and calculated by the model proposed for any weather condition.

Data mining is used in various domains of research to identify a new cause for tan effect in the society over the globe. This article includes the same reason for using the data mining to identify the Accident Occurrences in different regions and to identify the most valid reason for happening accidents over the globe. Data Mining and Advanced Machine Learning algorithms are used in this research approach and this article discusses about hyperline, classifications, pre-processing of the data, training the machine with the sample datasets which are collected from different regions in which we have structural and semi-structural data. We will dive into deep of machine learning and data mining classification algorithms to find or predict something novel about the accident occurrences over the globe. We majorly concentrate on two classification algorithms to minify the research and task and they are very basic and important classification algorithms. SVM (Support vector machine), CNB Classifier. This discussion will be quite interesting with WEKA tool for CNB classifier, Bag of Words Identification, Word Count and Frequency Calculation.

Current and voltage signals recieved from conventional iron core Current Transformer (CT) and Voltage Transformer plays very important role for correct operation of Distance Distance Relay (DDR). Increase in secondary burden connected to CT causes it to saturate at earlier stage. The saturated CT produces distorted secondary current, causing DDR to under reach and to operate by certain time delay. Rogowski Coils (RCs) are attaining increased acceptance and use in electrical power system due to their inherent linearity, greater accuracy and wide operating current range. This paper presents use of RC as an advanced measurement device suitable for DDR. Case study for validation of use of RC is carried out on low voltage system. The simulation results of Distance protection scheme used for protection of part of 220kV AC system shows excellent performance of RC over CT under abnormal conditions.

In component based software reusability development process, the software developers have to choose the best components which are self adaptive future to overcome the functional errors, framework mismatches, violation of user level privacy issues and data leakage feasibilities. The software developers can build high quality software applications by taking the consideration of the reusable components which are more suitable to provide high level data security and privacy. This paper has proposing the neural based fuzzy framework based approach to estimate the reusable components which are directly and indirectly involve the security and privacy to improve the quality of the software system. This approach has considered the twenty effecting factors and fifty three attribute matrices. It has formed with three stages of execution scenarios. The first stage has executed with eleven effecting factors and eighteen attribute matrices for identification of supporting software reusability components, the second stage has executed with four effecting factors and thirty five attribute matrices for identification of sub-internal relationships in terms of security-privacy, and the third stage has executed with eight effecting factors and six attribute matrices for identification of sub of sub-internal relationships in terms of security risk estimation. This analytical finding proposes a fuzzy logic model to evaluate the most feasible effecting factors that influence the enterprise level data security-privacy practices at real time environment.

The integration of optical and wireless technologies at access networks are considered as a future solution which provide both high bandwidth and high mobility in an efficient way. GPON is a suitable candidate for optical backhaul due to the combination of higher data rates, greater split ratio and support for triple play services hence it offers maximum flexibility and cost advantages. On the other hand, recent developments of new radio access technologies and introduction of femtocell base stations provide the potential of offering broadband services and applications to everyone and everywhere. However, the power consumption of this network demands a particular attention because access networks are the largest contributor the network related electricity consumption. Therefore, in this paper we evaluate the power consumption of integrated optical-wireless access network which is based on independent ONU-BS architecture. We proposed a power consumption model for such network and the assessment has been done under different simulation scenarios. The constructed model will provide insight of the energy performance of the integrated access network so that in the network design process, focus can be done to the most energy saving strategies.

As the amount of unstructured text data that humanity produce largely and a lot of texts are grows on the Internet, so the one of the intelligent technique is require processing it and extracting different types of knowledge from it. Gated recurrent unit (GRU) and support vector machine (SVM) have been successfully used to Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems with comparative, remarkable results. GRU networks perform well in sequential learning tasks and overcome the issues of “vanishing and explosion of gradients in standard recurrent neural networks (RNNs) when captureing long-term dependencies. In this paper, we proposed a text classification model based on improved approaches to this norm by presenting a linear support vector machine (SVM) as the replacement of Softmax in the final output layer of a GRU model. Furthermore, the cross-entropy function shall be replaced with a margin-based function. Empirical results present that the proposed GRU-SVM model achieved comparatively better results than the baseline approaches BLSTM-C, DABN.
