Abstract

Web real-time communication (WebRTC) standards do not define precisely how two browsers establish and control their communication. Therefore, a signalling mechanism/protocol has not specified in WebRTC. The essential goal of this research is to create and apply a WebRTC bi-directional video conferencing based on mesh topology (many-to-many) using Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Explorer. This experiment involved through Ethernet and Wireless of the Internet and 4G networks in e-learning. The signalling mechanism of this experiment has been created and implemented using JavaScript language along with MultiConnection libraries. In addition, an evaluation of quality of experience (QoE), resources, such as bandwidth consumption, and CPU performance was done. In this paper, a novel implementation was accomplished over e-learning using different networks, different browsers, many peers, opening one or many rooms concurrently, defining room initiator, sharing the information of the new user with participants, using user identification (user-id), and so on. Moreover, the paper also highlights the advantages and disadvantages of using WebRTC video conferencing.

Abstract

Due to the growth of demand for electric power, electric power loss reduction takes great attention for the power utility. In this paper, a low-level generation or Distributed Generation (DG) has been used for transmission power losses reduction. Karbala city transmission network (which is the case study) has been represented by using MATLAB m-file to study the load flow and the power loss for it. The paper proposed the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique in order to find the optimal number and allocation of DG with the objective to decrease power losses as possible. The results show the effect of the optimal allocation of DG on power loss reduction.

Abstract

Photovoltaic systems (PV) are one of the most important renewable energy resources (RER). It has limited energy efficiency leading to increasing the number of PV units required for certain input power i.e. to higher initial cost. To overcome this problem, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controllers are used. This work introduces a comparative study of seven MPPT classical, artificial intelligence (AI), and bio-inspired (BI) techniques: perturb and observe (P&O), modified perturb and observe (M-P&O), incremental conductance (INC), fuzzy logic controller (FLC), artificial neural network (ANN), adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), and cuckoo search (CS). Under the same climatic conditions, a comparison between these techniques in view of some criteria’s: efficiencies, tracking response, implementation cost, and others, will be performed. Simulation results, obtained using MATLAB/SIMULINK program, show that the MPPT techniques improve the lowest efficiency resulted without control. ANFIS is the highest efficiency, but it requires more sensors. CS and ANN produce the best performance, but CS provided significant advantages over others in view of low implementation cost, and fast computing time. P&O has the highest oscillation, but this drawback is eliminated using M-P&O. FLC has the longest computing time due to software complexity, but INC has the longest tracking time.

Abstract

In order to protect valuable data from undesirable readers or against illegal reproduction and modifications, there have been various data encryption techniques. Many methods are developed to perform image encryption. The use of chaotic map for image encryption is very effective, since it increase the security, due to its random behavior. The most attractive feature of deterministic chaotic systems is he extremely unexpected and random-look nature of chaotic signals that may lead to novel applications. A novel image encryption algorithm based on compression and hyper chaotic map techniques is proposed. Firstly the image is decomposed into three subbands R, G, and B then each band is compressed using lossless technique. The generated chaotic sequences from the 3D chaotic system are employed to code the compressed results by employing the idea of chaotic shift encoding (CSK) modulation to encode the three bands to generate the encrypted image. The experiments show that the proposed method give good results in term of security, feasibility, and robustness.

Abstract

Installation of distribution generation (DG) in the distribution system gains many technical benefits. To obtain more benefits, the location and size of DG must be selected with the appropriate values. This paper presents a method for optimizing location and size of DG in the distribution system based on enhanced sunflower optimization (ESFO) to minimize power loss of the system. In which, based on the operational mechanisms of the original sunflower optimization (SFO), a mutation technique is added for updating the best plant. The calculated results on the 33 nodes test system have shown that ESFO has proficiency for determining the best location and size of DG with higher quality than SFO. The compared results with the previous methods have also shown that ESFO outperforms to other methods in term of power loss reduction. As a result, ESFO is a reliable approach for the DG optimization problem.

Abstract

There are various ways of social communication including writing (WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, etc), calling (mobile phone) and voice recording (record your voice and then send it to the other party), but there are ways to eavesdropping the calls and voice messages, One way to solve this problem is via cryptographic approach. Chaos cryptography build on top of nonlinear dynamics chaotic system has gained some footstep in data security. It provides an alternative to conventional cryptography built on top of mathematical structures. This research focuses on the protection of speech recording by encrypting it with multiple encryption algorithms, including chaotic maps (Logistic Map and Sine Maps).

Abstract

his research aimed to develop an information system supporting research on rubber (ISSR) in Thailand. This system was designed as a web application with responsive web design. The rubber database was developed with MySQL, used Apache Server as a Web Server and programed with PHP-script. High Chart, Google Chart API and Java Technology were used to represent an online information with graphical format. The system was tested with the actual data on rubber research in Southern Thailand. The system has been available online at URL http://www.s-cm.site/issr. There are three type of users: administrator, researcher (member) and generic user. The researcher performed data entry about research with log-in to the system using username and password provided by the automatic system via online registration form. The administrator can manage the research information. The researchers can manage their research information, use searching tool and leave comments on other member’s research. The generic users can access the system without username and password to view the research and general information on rubber. Moreover, the system generates a report on rubber research with online graphical format. In conclusion, this information system enhances investigation on rubber research in Thailand and its strategy planning for rubber plantation in the future.

Abstract

Information broadcasting in wireless network is a necessary building block for cooperative operations. However, the broadcasting causes increases the routing overhead. This paper brings together an array of tools of our adaptive protocol for information broadcasting in MANETs. The proposed protocol in this paper named WAODV (WAIT-AODV). This new adaptive routing discovery protocol for MANETs, lets in nodes to pick out a fantastic motion: both to retransmit receiving request route request (RREQ) messages, to discard, or to wait earlier than making any decision, which dynamically confgures the routing discovery feature to decide a gorgeous motion through the usage of neighbors’ knowledge. Simulations have been conducted to show the effectiveness of the using of techniques adaptive protocol for information broadcasting RREQ packet when integrated into ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) routing protocols for MANET (which is based on simple flooding).

Abstract

The consensus is a critical operation of any decision-making process. It involves a set of eligible members; whose decision need to be honored by taking their acknowledgment before making any decision. The traditional consensus process follows centralized architecture, the members need to rely on and trust this architecture. The proposed system aims to develop a secure decentralized consensus application in the untrusted environment by making use of blockchain technology along with smart contract and interplanetary file system (IPFS).

Abstract

The activity pattern of the brain has been activated to identify a person in mind. Using the function magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to decipher brain decoding is the most accepted method. However, the accuracy of fMRI-based brain decoder is still restricted due to limited training samples. The limitations of the brain decoder using fMRI are passed through the design features proposed for many label coding and model training to predict these characteristics for a particular label. Moreover, what kind of semantic features for deciphering the neurological activity patterns are unclear. In current work, a new calculation model for learning decoding labels that is consistent with fMRI activity responses. The approach demonstrates the proposed corresponding label's success in terms of accuracy, which is decoded from brain activity patterns and compared with conventional text-derived feature technique. Besides, experimental studies present a training model based on multi-tasking to reduce the problems of limited training data sets. Therefore, the multi-task learning model is more efficient than modern methods of calculation, and decoding features may be easily obtained.
