This research aims is to develop ethnoscience based teaching materials with the theme of global warming for seventh grade junior high school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D) wich includes several stages: problem identification, data collection, design science teaching material based ethnoscience, design validation, design revisions, smale scale trials, revision science teaching materials, large scale trials, and final science teaching materials. The subjects of the research trial were students of class VII D SMP N 30 Semarang in the academic year 2018/2019. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Advisability and readability test using questionnaires and passenger tests. Test of increasing cognitive learning outcomes using Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, while affective learning outcomes use affective questionnaire. The gain test of cognitive learning outcomes gets an average score of 0,46, while the gain test for affective learning results gets an average score of 0,19. These results indicate that there is an increase in cognitive and affective learning outcomes for students who use ethnoscience based science teaching materials

This research aims to obtain the characteristics of media physics game learning on the concept of substance change and to determine the feasibility of media physics game learning developed in the concept of substance change. The research method used consisted of five steps namely needs analysis, learning design, media development, product evaluation and product production. with research and development research design. The results show that media physics learning games on each display are equipped with navigation buttons, particle images and instructions. The average score of media expert validation score is 96% with very feasible category, the average score for material expert validation is 98% with very feasible categories and the results of the average student response are 86% with very good categories. Thus it can be concluded that the physics characteristics of learning games is a simulation in the form of a simple game that displays the process of changing matter visually and microscopically. Media physics game learning is worthy of being an alternative medium in learning in the classroom

This study aims to develop Scratch-based learning media on the subject of optical tools and measure the properness of learning media. Learning media developed with 4D development model by Thiagarajan. The research subjects were Scratch-based learning media which tested for their properness. The properness test process was carried out by using a questionnaire consist of validating questionnaires of visual communication design aspect, software engineering aspects, material substance aspects, quality test questionnaires of learning media by the teacher, and responses questionnaires of student. The questionnaire respondents were expert lecturers for each aspect, physics teachers, and high school students in XI MIPA grade. Questionnaire data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and average value of statistics described according to the properness criteria of learning media. The results of the properness of learning media on the visual communication design aspects obtained a percentage of 94% with very proper categories, aspects of software engineering obtained a percentage of 83% with very proper categories, material substance aspects obtained 70% with a proper category, percentage of learning media quality test 91 % with a very proper category, and students responses obtained a percentage of 79.84% with a proper category. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that Scratch-based learning media on the subject of optical tool is proper to be used as a medium for physics learning in the learning process at school.

Physics is a study of natural phenomena and its interactions. In learning physics, it is necessary to practice the concepts of physics in everyday life. However, physics is still considered as a difficult subject by most of the students. It leads to the low outcomes of students' cognitive learning outcomes. Learning model and teaching materials are needed, so that it will be easier for students to understand a lesson. In this study, the researcher used 7E Learning Cycle model with handouts. This study intended to determine the effects of handout as a learning media in 7E Learning Cycle model to improve the learning outcomes of VII Grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Demak on the lesson of measurement. The research method used in this research was experimental research method with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design as the research design. The sample of this study was taken by cluster random sampling technique. It obtained research samples which were class VII D as the experimental class, and class VII A as the control class. Based on the result of the study, it obtained the average value of posttest of the experimental class was 73.50, and the control class was 58.31. The hypothesis testing by using point-biserial correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination showed that handout as the learning media in 7E Learning Cycle model had a positive effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The improvement of student learning outcomes was indicated by the N-Gain test value of the experimental class of 0.26, and the control class of 0.10 with the low category. In conclusion, handout as the learning media in the 7E Learning Cycle model influences and improves student learning outcomes.

The goals of this research are to describe the characteristics of student worksheets based on STEM, to know the feasibility of student worksheets based on STEM, to know the readability of student worksheets based on STEM, and to know the improvement of students' ability in their creative thinking. The used method in this research is Research and Development (R&D). This research consists of four-step; they are preliminary study, product design, design validation, and product testing. One Group Pretest-posttest is used as the trial design. The subject of a small-scale trial is XI MIPA 1 and the subject of a large-scale trial is XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Jekulo Kudus. The characteristics of STEM-based is that student worksheets contain discussion and practicum activities about mechanical waves associated with STEM aspects. The result of advisability test in terms the aspects of content, presentation, and language as much as 85.21% indicates that the STEM-based student worksheets to improve the ability of creative thinking is very feasible to use. Readability test results of 89.66% indicate that STEM-based student worksheets are easy to understand. Based on large-scale trials, the STEM-based student worksheets can improve the ability to think creatively, in terms of fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originally indicated by the increase of pretest-posttest value.

This research aims at determining the influence of guided inquiry learning model supported by media Augmented Reality to increase the interest and understanding of science concepts. This research applied experimental design with Pretest-Posttest Group type. Samples were taken using simple random sampling in 8 Magelang Senior High School year 2016/2017 with VII G which received treatment using guided inquiry learning model supported by media Augmented Reality as experimental class and VII H which received using guided inquiry learning model without media Augmented Reality treatment as control class. The indicator used to measure learning interest is an feel happy in lerning, attention, attachment in learning, participating in learning, satisfaction, and interesting in learning. ‘Students interest test after learning using guided inquiry learning model supported by media Augmented Reality shows an increased interest in learning in every aspect. The result showed that the average score of pretest was (37,35) and the average score of postest was (93,38). The relationship between interest and understanding of concepts is indicated by the correlation rate of 0.89 with the influence rate of 64%. Improved understanding of concepts was shown ny the N-gain test (0,89) with ‘high criterion’. In conclution, guided inquiry learning model supported by media Augmented Reality can to improve increase the interest and students’understanding of science concepts.

The importance of developing students' thinking skills is contained in Permendiknas Number 22 of 2006 concerning standard content. It states that science and technology subjects have the aim of obtaining the basic competencies in science and technology and cultivating critical, creative, and independent thinking. This study intended to determine the effectiveness of the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) combined with the Group Investigation model and Problem Based Learning model on students' creative thinking skills. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Kemranjen. The researcher used a quasi-experimental design with an equivalent control group design. The sample in this study was taken by random sampling technique, obtained research samples namely class VIII F as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class. The method of data collection consisted of documentation and tests. The results of data analysis showed that the mixed learning model of Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition with Group Investigation was effective in improving students' creative thinking. The Problem Based Learning model was also effective in improving students' creative thinking skill with a gain of 0.52 from a maximum score of 1. It was included in the medium criteria. In conclusion, the mixed of Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition and Group Investigation learning model was more effective than Problem Based Learning model in developing students' creative thinking.

Procedural knowledge is a factor in problem solving. In the problem solving process, expertise is needed to arrange appropriate procedures to solve a problem. The focus of this study is to determine the ability of candidate teachers in arrange problem solving procedures and knowing the relationship between the ability to arrange problem solving procedures with problem solving abilities. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Research data was obtained from written tests, interview tests and field notes. Analysis of the ability to arrange problem solving procedures using guidelines for problem solving stages according to Docktor, et.al. (2016) namely usefull description, physics approach, specification application of physics, mathematical procedures and logical progression. Based on the analysis, the ability to develop problem solving procedures for teacher candidates is divided into 3 types, namely: type 1, type 2, and type 3. The average percentage of the ability of prospective teachers in developing type 1 problem solving procedures is 51.52%, type 2 is 37.38%, and type 3 by 10.5%. In addition, the results obtained that there was no relationship between the ability to form problem solving procedures with problem solving abilities.

Teaching materials used in schools are still limited to the presentation of concise material and short formulas so that students feel difficulties when solving problems related to life. Teaching materials based on I-SETS complemented characters presented in material related to aspects of Islam, science, environment, technology, and society as well as character values so students motivated to be more active, creative, and think critically in solving problems. The purposes of this research are determine the characteristics, feasibility, readability, and practicality of gravity teaching materials. The method used is Research and Development. The teaching materials produced have several characteristics based on 3 aspects, namely content, presentation, and language. The result of the feasibility test indicates that teaching material is suitable to used in learning with a percentage of 87.50%. The result of readability test indicates that teaching material is easily understood by students with a percentage of 86.66%. The result of operational field test show that teaching material is practical to used in learning with a percentage of 85.91%.

Development research has been carried out to measure high-level thinking skills of junior high school students, through the development of HOTS questions of Physics in Middle School. This is based on the lack of students' skills in answering questions that require analysis, evaluation, and creativity, so that in learning activities they cannot answer questions that require high-level thinking skills. Sampling was done randomly and obtained three classes, namely class VIII D, E, F. Then the data was collected using HOTS questions that have been tested by experts. The analysis used in this study was to test the material validity by experts, the validity of the items, the distinguishing power, the level of difficulty, the reliability of the test, and the t-test. The results of this study are a set of instruments about the HOTS Physics Middle School subject matter on objects that can be used to measure students' high-level thinking abilities.
