Abstract

The hands-washing is a baseline procedure to prevent one of nosocomial infections suchas phlebitis. Nurses have a major role towards Phlebitis’ incidents because they alwaysinteract with their patients for 24 hours. The aim of this research was determine theinfluence of nurses’ compliance to perform hands-washing before inserting IV cathetertowards Phlebitis’ incidents. This research was using Descriptive Correlation designwith Cross Sectional approach. The numbers of sample were 111 nurses and 111admitted patients which were chosen by proportional stratified random samplingtechnique. The data collections were using questionnaires and observational forms. Thebivariate analysis was using Chi Square. The results of this research showed that there isno significant correlation between nurses’ characteristics with phlebitis’ incidents.Similarly, there is no significant correlation between nurses’ compliance to performhands-washing before inserting IV catheter with phlebitis’ incidents. Meanwhile, there isa significant correlation among the availability of hands-washing facilities withphlebitis’ incidents with p value = 0.000. The multivariate analysis was using multiplelogistic regression which showed that the availability of hands-washing facilities is themost dominant factor to decrease the numbers of phlebitis’ incidents with Odd Ratio19.333.

Abstract

Antibiotic resistance is becoming a public health threat in Indonesia, then to controlgerms that are immune surveillance is needed periodically. Patterns germs andsensitivity test results can be used as the basis for empirical antibiotic. This studyaims to determine the sensitivity pattern of bacteria to antibiotics in inpatient childrenDharmais Cancer Hospital Jakarta in 2014. This study is a descriptive study usingsecondary data sensitivity test results of bacteria to antibiotics in inpatient childrenDharmais Cancer Hospital in 2014. Results culture showed that the type of pathogensfound in January-June 2014 was Pseudomonas aeruginosa (14.99%), Esherichia coli(13.89%), and in July - December 2014 pathogenic germs found were Acinetobacterbaumannii (16, 25%) and Escherichia coli (15.35%). Of the 990 isolates obtainedsensitivity pattern of germs showed the sensitivity of Gram positive to ceftazidime(100%), Trimethoprim (100%), Linezolid (100%), Cefuroxime (100%), Amikacin(100%), Netilmicin (100%), Vancomycin (100%) and Tigercycline (100%). Gramnegativebacteria highest sensitivity towards Doripenem. Gram-positive bacteriahighest resistance to ampicillin (100%) and Moxifloxacin (100%). Gram-negativegerms showed the highest resistance to Amoxicillin results (100%). The conclusionthat the Gram-positive bacteria are sensitive to ceftazidime, Trimethoprime,Linezolid, Cefuroxime, Amikacin, Netilmicin, Vancomycin and Tigercycline andGram-negative bacteria sensitive to Doripenem.

Abstract

Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health since 2010 has been determined to be the agency inimplementing Financial Management General Services Agency , the Ministry of Health has setpolytechnic become Agencies Public Service Agency , the Polytechnic of the Ministry of Healthshould be managed in a sound business and in accordance with the Govermment Regulations .23 of 2005 section 35 subsection ( 1 ) Officials managers , board of supervisors , and employeesPublic Services Agency can be given remuneration based on the level of responsibility andprofessionalism required demands . Remuneration is set to the position holder is given the taskto carry out a job . In calculating the remuneration of each position needs to be preparedbeforehand Professional Grade and subsequently as a determining factor in calculating theremuneration of appraisal work ( Job Value) , so that would be obtained ranking positions ( JobGrading ) , and corporate Grade.
