Abstract

This article aims to discuss fractional reserve banking applied by Islamic banking. The practice of fractional reserve banking applied by Sharia banking is part of contemporary practice that was not discovered at the time of the Prophet. Thus, a comprehensive ijtihadi study of the Islamic banking system is needed, considering that the practice of fractional reserve banking applied by Islamic banking is also part of conventional banking practices. The practice of fractional reserve banking in conventional banking has been proven to have an impact on banking institutions and has an impact on the monetary crisis which destabilizes the country's economic stability. In addition, the practice of fractional reserve banking also contradicts Islamic law, for example Meera and Moussa (2009) stated in their research that fractional reserve banking was not in accordance with Islamic principles, because it contradicted the concept of al-milkiyah (ownership) in Islam. This can be seen from the creation of money through fractional reserve banking with the creation of purchasing power of nothingness (creating money out of nothing) which will have an impact on the unfairness of transfer of asset ownership in the structure of the economy, because transfer of ownership is not based on human effort by taking it legally and not with the knowledge or approval of the initial fund owner. This violates the principles of ownership in Islam and is tantamount to theft, let alone this system is very closely related to elements of usury. Publicity according to Sani and Aziuddin (2013) also concluded that fractional reserve banking is not allowed in the Islamic perspective. This perspective is based on the maqasid syariah parameters used to measure empirically the implications of the frational reserve banking system on the economic stability of the community.

Abstract

Islam is the most perfect religion. It can be seen from how Islamic law was born and applied. Accordingly it support syar’i legitimacy, above of all, Islamic law protects the sake of human being indeed. Methodologically and operationally, Qiyas is an effort to connect one event with another event that has legal justification by seeing the existence of the legal causation ('illat). With the existence of this case equation, then the first case was established and given its legal provisions. Imam Sha>fi'i> as the first pioneer of this method (Qiyas) makes a strict qualification of the elements that exist in Qiyas. In the opinion of him, Qiya>s is applicable and therefore has valid legal force if the four terms and conditions are met. Including, ashl, hukm furu’ and 'illat. The dynamics of the contracts in Islamic economics, especially in contemporary finance, have developed and innovated. Therefore, it takes carefulness in searching and formulating epistemology of them. In this context, Shari>ah bankers creatively offering Shariah product’s contracts legally based on Qiyas method.

Abstract

The more advanced development of science and technology makes every cosmetic company to create a good brand image so it can provide the attraction of purchasing decision through the use of celebrity endorsers. This article aims to determine the effect of brand image and celebrity endorser on the purchasing decision of wardah cosmetic (based on the study of Muslimah in Bogor). The population in this article is muslimah in Bogor who have bought and used wardah cosmetic, and 100 muslimah as the sample. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling. The data used in this article are primary and secondary data. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 16 program.

Abstract

This research is aimed at examining the influence of service marketing mix towards visitor’s decision to stay in Andita Syariah Hotel Surabaya. The independent variable on this research are product, price, place, promotion, people, process, pyhsical evidence, promise, patience. While the dependent variable is decision to stay which consist of four indicators, they are product choice, brand choice, distribution choice and time to stay. Data analysis technique on this research used classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, F-test and T-test. The result of this research shows that the service marketing mix has a simultaneous influence towards the decision to stay in Andita Syariah Hotel Surabaya. While based on partial test, there are three variables of the service marketing mix which significantly influence variable decision to stay, they are place, physical evidence and promise.

Abstract

Efficiency is one measurement of the organization operational succes including the charity management organization. This study measures and analyzes the efficiency of BAZNAS in Surakarta residency using the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) method. Efficiency results show which BAZNAS regency / city is efficient or inefficient and find out the source of inefficiency. Having optimal operational (CRS), there were found 4 BAZNAS with 100% efficiency, namely BAZNAS Klaten Regency, Surakarta City, Sragen Regency, and Wonogiri Regency. While some BAZNAS with efficiency below 100% are BAZNAS Boyolali Regency (87.6%), Sukoharjo Regency (73.5%) and Karanganyar Regency (59.9%). Efficiency analysis with VRS assumption shows that all BAZNAS in Surakarta Residency have 100% optimal efficiency. The source of inefficiency that occurs in some BAZNAS Districts that have efficiency scores below 100% is that the potential of zakat distribution, distribution of infaq, and the total distribution of infaq & zakat has not been optimized.

Abstract

Zakat profession it self is one of the themes of contemporary jurisprudence that has not been fully accepted among Islamic scholars. Some circles still doubt even reject the validity of the withdrawal of profession zakat imposed on various professions "wet" which results far above the farmers' income. But the supporters of zakat profession seem to be more powerful influence and its teachings proved in "Act No. 23 of 2011 on the management of zakat in Article 4 point h on income and services has been declared by the Act as one of the objects of zakat mal in Indonesia". This research uses quantitative method. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, while data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression analysis assisted SPSS program 16. This paper aims to determine the level of awareness of the implementation of professional zakat in the measure of variables such as the perception of zakat profession and other factors affecting the implementation of professional zakat . The results showed that perception, other factors together have positive and significant effect on the implementation of zakat profession and affect the level of kedasaran on the implementation of professional zakat.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction will be formed if it can meet customer base expectations. Many factors influence customer satisfaction, including service quality and price. The purpose of this study is (1) to analyze the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction, (2) to analyze the effect of prices on customer satisfaction (3) to analyze the effect of service quality and price on customer satisfaction at PT. Amanah Fadlilah Lumajang personnel. The population in this study were Umrah members from 2015 to 2017 at PT. Amanah Fadlilah Ihsan Lumajang. Samples were determined by the technique of sample areas with 147 respondents. Data collection methods used are questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are instrument tests (validity and reliability testing), simple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and determination coefficients using the SPSS program. The results of this study obtained a simple linear regression equation Y = 2.322+ 0.173 X1 + 0.742 X2. (1) There is an influence between the quality of service partially with a value of t = 2.831. (2) There is a price effect on customer satisfaction partially with a value of t = 10,649. (3) Overall service quality and prices affect customer satisfaction by 55.8%. Based on the results of the above research it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on service quality and price on customer satisfaction at PT. Amanah Fadlilah Lumajang personnel.
