Abstract

Post harvest technologies are needed to produce godd quality rattan. HoweverBut there are always barriers, especially in costs, skills, and emergency need of stuff, so its harvest is still in wet condition. The aim of this research is to learn costs, revenue, income and efficiency of irit rattan in Bukit Liti Village, Kahayan Tengah district, Pulang Pisau sub Province. The data which has been collected, is tabulated and analyzed with using statistics test analysis of farming, which is matched with research’s target. The result and analysis of this research is presented in tables and discussed with discriptive analysis

Abstract

Recreation Park or natural recreation site is the reserved area for natural conservation zone, which has the function for education, science, research, culture, especially for recreation and tourism. Site management of natural recreation park inside the Kerinci Seblat National Park generally has not well been managed, because TNKS does not have enough professional human resource to maintain and to manage the recreational area. The plan of landscape management for family picnic zone of Gunung Tujuh Natural Park, Kerinci Seblat National Park describe by spatial for each of zone that has already developed in the site. The plan of landscape management in this zone was decided by carrying capacity of this site and by the facilities. The goals of landscape management plan were to obtain the function of family picnic zone and establish management program for the sustainability of preserved area of Kerinci Seblat National Park

Abstract

This experiment that was aimed to evaluate the usage of various additives to prepare cassava leaf silage and to study the response of the goat fed with the silage was conducted at the Livestock Research Station in Prodo, Klampok Singosari Malang. This experiment consisted of two periods. The first period was aimed to evaluate the usage of seven additive treatments used for preparing cassava leaf silage, while the second period was aimed to evaluate the response of the goat fed with the cassava leaf silage. Nine male goats aged 3-6 months with an initial body weight of 15,767 ± 2,516 kg each were allotted to 3 treatments with 3 replications in a randomized block design. The goat was fed with chopped elephant grass and three different levels of cassava leaf silage as treatments. During the experiment, daily amount of feed offered and refused, and their samples were taken for proximate analysis of DM, organic matter (OM) and crude protein (CP) content to measure feed intake. The results showed that the different treatments of cassava leaf silage fed on the goats did not significantly affect DM intake, OM intake, CP intake and average daily weight gain

Abstract

A study that was aimed to analyze the potency of surface water for water resource development of the Gresik Regency was conducted by analyzing available rainfall and water discharge data. Results of this study showed the occurrence of water potency deficit and water shortage. Discharge of water from river flowing through the Gresik Regency did not originally come from excessive rainfall but it came from sea water flowing into the river at certain months, and from upstream and midstream discharges of Bengawan Solo river. Climate affected conditions of water resource potency which its main source is rainfall. Hence water supply could not be relied only from rainfall. The existing surface water can only provide 50% of the water need of the Gresik Regency for domestic uses and other 50% for industrial purposes. The remaining water need should be sought from other sourves such as drilling well, small basins and lakes

Abstract

A study aimed to judge earnings and efficiency of mushroom cooperative farming was conducted at Puworejo District of Parusuan Regency. Primary data was collected from all 20 farmers involved in the farming. All data related to mushroom farming was collected using questionnaires combine with field visits. Results of this study revealed that based on production, revenue, earnings and costs, the cooperative mushroom farming was efficient to carry on. This was indicated by revenue: cost ratio of 1.59 at nucleus and 1,74 for plasma for one production cycle in the cooperative system

Abstract

Objectives of this study were to elucidate efficiency level of rubber marketing at Dusun Tengah District, Barito Timur Regency. The study was conducted at. 60 farmers were randomly selected from three villages of Unsum, Lenggang and Puri, Dusun Tengah District. Samples of marketing agencies were selected based on non probability sampling method. Data analyses were analysis of profit function, and analysis of marketing, as well as descriptive analysis on market structure, performance and conduct to qualitatively measure marketing efficiency. Results of the study showed that there we two marketing channels in the study area, i.e. channel 1: Farmer –trader 1 –trader II (distributor) – rubber processing factory, and channel 2: Farmer –trader II (distributor)- rubber processing factory. Analysis of marketing margin indicated that price share received by farmers was 67,35%, whereas that received by trader I was 79,59%, and that received by trader II (distributor) was 100%. Marketing margin was not evenly distributed in between trader I and trader II (distributor) as trader II received the highest margin of 40,94%

Abstract

A comparative study of decomposition rate and nitrogen release of crop residues of ‘nanas’ (Ananas commosus), ‘kimpul’ (Xanthosoma sagittifolium) and ‘kapulaga’ (Amomum cardomomum) as well as their relationships to soil macrofauna diversity was conducted in permanent boxes containing soils. Soil macrofauna used for this study were Pheretima sp, Phyllophaga sp., Lithobius sp., Calosoma sp., Blatta sp., Lycosa sp., and Narceus sp. which were previously acclimated for 2 days. Results of this study showed that the highest rate of decomposition occurred on organic matter generated from ‘kimpul’, followed by ‘nanas’ and ‘kapulaga’. The highest rate of nitrogen release was observed for organic matter generated from ‘kimpul’, followed by ‘kapulaga’ and ‘nanas’. Both rate of decomposition or rate of nitrogen release positively correlated with diversity index value of soil macrofauna

Abstract

The aims of this research were to elucidate the best concentration of gelling agents (carragenans, pectins, agaroses) for producing jackfruit jams with best chemical, physical and organoleptical characteristics, and the financial aspects of the best jackfruit jam production. Six treatments of gelling agents addition of 0.5% and 0.6% agaroses; 0.3% and 0.5% pectins and 0.2% and 0.3% carragenans, were arranged in a randomized block design with three replicates. Analysis factors were performed for water content, texture, pH, syneresis and capability of performance and also organoleptics i.e. colours, texture and flavours. Results of this research showed that addition of 0.3% pectins produced best quality of jackfruits jams

Abstract

Abstract Effects of low quality organic matter application at rates of 5, 10, and 15 t/ha on soil water content and yield of maize have been studied on a dry land area of Wonogiri. The organic matters used for this study were Acasia auriculiformis, Gigantochloa apus and Sacharum officinarum litters. Results of the study showed that application of organic matter at all rates significantly increased water content and decreased C/N ratio of the soil, but did not affect water holding capacity of the soil. These changes have in turn significantly affected leaf area index, growth rate, number seed per pod, weight of 100 seeds and maize harvesting index

Abstract

Coconut oil is vegetable oil extracted from coconut flesh. Based on the content of its fatty acid, coconut oil is put into laurat acid oil group because it has the biggest content of laurat acid which is 53 % compared to other fatty acids. One of the methods of VCO extraction is the use of protease. The research method was performed by adding Tripsin enzyme having 0 %, 0.02 %, 0.04 %, 0.06 % and 0.08 % concentrate into coconut milk with various pH (3, 4, 5, 6, 7). Then it was stirred and left for about 20 hours. Finally, the oil was extracted and the laurat acid content was analyzed. The result showed that the best condition was obtained when Tripsin enzyme concentrate was 0.08 % and pH was 6 with the obtained laurat acid was 52.68 %
