Abstract

A study that was aimed to elucidate the effect of mixing starbio in feed material on feed consumption, body weight gained, and feed conversion for starter phase of broiler, was conducted at field laboratory of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University. Eighty broiler male (DOC) of Lohman strain produced by PT Multibreeder Adirama Indonesia were subjected for this study. Feed treatments applied for this study were P0 = Control (no addition of starbio), P1 = 15% starbio addition, P2= 30% starbio addition, and P3 = 45% starbio addition. Results of this study showed that addition of starbio in feed significantly affected feed consumption, body weight gained, and feed conversion of starter phase of broiler

Abstract

Feasibility study was an activity to assess the benefits that could obtained in executing a business activity. The results of this analysis was used as consideration in making decisions, whether to accept or reject the idea of a business. Domestic industry of composite nuggets, was an innovative and new, so that required feasibility study to determine the sustainability of its business. Its nutritional content and easily to consume, became an efforts to replace their raw materials with other materials that were less expensive but still meet the nutritional adequacy, such as tofu’s waste. Until now, there has been no research that combines more than two raw materials into nuggets (composite), such as tofu’s waste and Euthynnus meats. Therefore, this study aims to determine the best formulation of nuggets composite that used tofu’s waste, Euthynnus meats and tapioca. Randomized Complete Design were used, with A, B, and C formulations. This formulations used thunnus meats and tofu’s waste were 40% and 35%, 50% and 25%, also 60% and 15%. Tapiocas 20% and others ingredients were 1%, also used. The finest formulation were A, that produce 10% protein, 23% carbohydrate, 0,08% fat, 62% water and 1% ash

Abstract

This Research aim to look for best soy variety for the making of tofu. This research is executed in Laboratory Engineering Process and System Produce University of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi Malang. Device attempt which is used in this research is Random Device Complete with one factor, as its factor soy variety which consist of three level that is Wilis variety, Kaba variety and Import variety, each level repeated the five of times. All soy variety wear in this research is obtained from BALITKABI Malang. Result of research indicate that tofu having best quality is made of tofu is soy of variety Kaba with protein content 14,63%, water content 77,22% and also result of from test of organoleptik by using 20 panelist people tell to be taken a fancy to or can be accepted

Abstract

This study represent study pricing of relied on water potency of each irrigation area in DAS Ngasinan - Ngrowo Sub-Province of Tulungagung and of Trenggalek and also willingness and ability to local farmer and verification to field. Drainage basin pass by quickly sub-province have problems of complex from between farmer alone till institute and its facilities and basic facilities. Role and also and society of commitment institute each proving its commitment to management of water resource obtained to be data to be done by collecting primary and secondary data, including in it by interview. Data Sample taken by maximum from 2 - 3% from farmer family population/irrigation area with assumption each farmer have 0,5 ha rice field. Execution of gathering of sample that is with examination of method statistic of proportional sampling random to see how far taken sample fulfill examination to be done. Beside that in this study even also, studied till make a guidance of price pixing irrigate to area of around him with have directive to factors having an effect on in price pixing sell this water. Price sell water determined by lessening Value Sell Agro Product with production cost, operating expenses and conservancy, expense of investment, requirement of farmer life and farming remains, and later divided with amount of water required/ha. Abstract

Cow and goat’s milk are animal husbandry’s products which are very easily damaged. Quality and price declines with along storage. Therefore, its necessary to find a technology to increase the selling value of cow and goat's milk that is not fresh or otherwise disposed of, but are still suitable for consumption. This was an experimental study using paired t test to compare the quality of unfresh cow's milk and goat’s milk candy. The aimed of this research were to analyze the financial feasibility of the process and the use of unfresh goat milk and cow's milk in a candy rejects. The best treatment was the used of goats milk, with fat content, protein, vitamin C and water content were 14,9%; 12,7%; 0,22% and 14,57%. Financial aspects of this best result were Payback Period 4,267 years; Net BC ratio 1,705; BC ratio 1,347; NPV (18%) Rp. 17.645.615,90; BEP 3.912,40 packs or Rp 24.691.930,99 or 20,4%; and also IRR 28,4%

Abstract

Ozone is one of the constituent gases of the atmosphere. This gas is concentrated in the stratosphere layer functions as a UV filter so as not to cause damage on the surface of the earth. This layer of ozone in most produced by the reaction of oxygen with ultraviolet light. Ozone in the troposphere is the layer of air pollutants and harmful to the respiratory system of human, animal and plant metabolism. The presence of ozone in Earth's atmosphere in low concentrations throughout the year. Decreased concentration or the ozone layer depletion triggered by the compounds of CFCs (Chloro Fluoro Carbon) and ODS (Ozone depleting Subsantance). ODS compounds include nitrogen oxide (N2O) is a byproduct of combustion, methyl bromide, carbon tetrachlorida and methyl chloroform. To determine the thickness of the ozone layer is measured by satellite instruments or Nimbus-7 satellite instruments EP-toms. Total concentration of atmospheric ozone standard can be determined using the unit DU (Dobson Unit). Concentration at a point can also be measured in units of ppb (parts per billion) or in μg.m³. Efforts to reduce ozone layer depletion, among others, regularly measure the thickness of the ozone, suppress the use of CFC compounds that are widely used as refrigrant in freezers, refrigerators, room air conditioning and engine cooling, spray cans for air freshener, perfumes, solvents, foam developers and reduce the use of ODS substances which have been agreed by the international community through the Montreal Protocol, Canada in 1987

Abstract

The objectives of this research was leaning and finding the consentrade of IAA (Indole Acetic Acid) on vegetative growth of Phalaenopsis sp. The research used a randomly completely block design consisting of five treatments on level IAA consentration : 0 mg/l (A0), 100 mg/l (A1), 200 mg/l (A2), 300 mg/l (A3) and 400 mg/l (A4). Every treatment was replicated five times. The observed parameters included the amount of increasing leaves, the length and width of lives, the amount of increasing roots and the length of increasing roots. The results showed that the consentrade 400 mg/l IAA was the most appropriate consentrade to stimulated on vegetative growth of Phalaenopsis sp. Abstract

Rice strategic position had been important issue since 1998 until 2007. There has been an increasing of rice price, even thought it was slow but sure, at February 2007, which rice price, became the highest price since ever, Rp 6000/kg for medium quality. That increasing of the price are affected by the lack of rice stock in the market in consequence of low rice supply from farmers corresponding to natural disasters and seasonal diversity in some rice production centrals, included East Java province. The production decreasing has an effect on output price became high in proportion to fixed demand. This situation turned out to be worse with the country condition has not been recovered from economic crisis, hence buying power of people turned into low. However, others have not substituted the dependence of the public toward rice at the level of rice as Indonesians’ staple food. This research aims to learn factors influenced rice price in Surabaya city, Malang Region and Sidoarjo Region. The research utilized secondary data during five years since 2002 until 2006 with using linier regression analysis method. Research result shows factors influenced rice price in Surabaya are corn price, cassava price, flour price, and inflation rate; while factors influenced rice price in Malang and corn price, cassava price , and flour price

Animal husbandry sector development plays an important role in fulfil the food from animal requirements by increase production continually to regional or national fulfilment in stamina of the food and economiy. Abstract

Titanium diokside (TiO2) is widely used in chemical industries, especially in ceramics industries. It could be produced by destructing of the ilmenite mineral with sulfuric acid. The design process of destruction needs mathematical modeling which is similar to heterogeneous system that involves both mass transfer and chemical reaction simultaneously. The reaction between the ilmenite mineral and sulfuric acid was conducted in a stirred-batch reactor. The ilmenite mineral and sulfuric acid were mixed in the reactor then it was closed. The reactor was heated and stirred at a certain stirring rate until desired temperature was reached. Samples were withdrawn every 10 minutes. The variables studied were the reaction temperature in the tange of 383 K and 403 K and the rate of stirring in the range of 60 and 125 rpm. There were two proposes models. The first model was a shrinking-core mixed chemical-dynamic regime model. The second model was a shrinking-core chemical regime model. Based on the results, the first model was the suitable model of the two models proposed for describing the kinetics phenomena of the destruction of ilmenite mineral with sulfuric acid. From this model it was obtained that the value of reaction rate constant (kr) could be approached by the Arrhenius equation, as the following; kr = 8,59.1019.e-44578/(RT), in which R is the gas constant and T is the absolute temperature. It was obtained that the value of mass transfer coefficient was not significantly influenced by the rate of stirring
