This study used quantitative methods, observational research with cross sectional approach. Sampling techniques used random sampling. The sample size of 150 mother childbirth day 3 to 6 weeks postpartum in the region of BPM Istiqomah, S.Keb.Bid. This study to use questionnaire with multiple linear regression analysis model. There are influence of the level of knowledge on sexual function puerperal women (b = 0.62; CI = 95% = 0:15 to 0.93; p = 0.001). There is the influence of confinement on sexual function puerperal women (b = 1:09; CI = 95% = 0:22 to 1.95; p = 0.014). There parity effect on sexual function puerperal women (b = -1.15; CI = 95% = - 1.96 to -3.39; p = 0.006) There is no effect of the type of work on sexual function in women postpartum (b = 0.62; CI = 95% = 0:03, until 1:21; p = 0.039). The variable that most strongly affect sexual function in primiparous postpartum mothers on day 5- 8 is the level of knowledge (b = 0.62; CI = 95% = 0:15 to 0.93; p = 0.001) and parity (b = -1.15; 95% CI = = - 1.96 to -3.39; p = 0.006). Conclusion: There is the influence of the level of knowledge, parity, type of delivery on sexual function nifasAda maternal parity effect on sexual function, but there was no effect of the type of work on sexual function in women postpartum and the variables that most strongly affect sexual function in primiparous postpartum mothers on day 5- 8 is the level of knowledge and parity.

Abstract

Contraction of uterus is the major physiological force during the delivery process of second period. Based on the results of preliminary studies, there is still mother who get pathological second period of childbirth. The population is all of the mother who have the interpretation of labor on June 14 until July 9 and delivery at private practice midwife Sahabat Perempuan Gunung Anyar Surabaya, which amounts 30 respondents. Big of sample 28 respondents, were teken with probability sampling techniques, that is simple random sampling. Processing by editing, coding and tabulating. Variable independent is contraction of uterus characteristics and variable dependent is length of second period. Result of this research with test of chie-squares with significance level α = 0,05. Most respondents with contraction of uterus characteristics normally is (53,3 % ) only a small proportion who get pathological second period of childbirth (18,75 %). From got by statistical test result of ρ = 0,025 and ρ < α of meaning H1 accepted, it means there is correlation between contraction of uterus characteristics with length of second period at private practice midwife Sahabat Perempuan Gunung Anyar Surabaya. It can see from Odds Ratio (OR) is getting 7,8 (95 % CI : 1,47 – 41,21). Its means contraction of uterus characteristics more effective for length of second period. This research conclusion that there more mother delivering have contraction of uterus characteristics normally, so more big chance mother delivering for felt with length of second period. This research method was using one group pretest-posttest design, with total sampling of 21 subjects, whom have toddlers in the Plosowahyu village Lamongan in February 2016. The data was taken by using questionnaire sheet. Data analyzed by Wilcoxon sign test with p= 0,05. The result of statistical test shows that there is correlation between Chalk and Talk methods of the toddlers’ febrile seizure handling with the mothers’ self-efficacy. The correlation coefficient value is -3,852 with level of significant 0,000 (p<0,05). This research show that Chalk and Talk methods can improve mothers’ self-efficacy of the first handling toddlers’ febrile seizure. Thus, the health education (trough Chalk and Talk methods) effectively influenced the mothers’ self-efficacy improvement because it could explain the idea and the message, and it also became the reminder of what the presenter had explained.> <0,05). Abstract

After stroke, patients experience emotional changes resulted from the pain caused by stroke attack; it is normal reactions to the challenge, fear, and frustration in facing their disabilities. This study was purposed to find out the effectiveness of active range of motion exercises on upper extremities for the emotional changes after stroke. The study using quasi-experimental design involved the population of all patients found in the Neurology Polyclinic of RSI Surabaya. The samples of 20 respondents were collected using consecutive sampling technique. The independent variable was the active range of motion exercises, whereas the dependent variable was the emotional changes. The collected were analyzed using ttest with the level of significance α = 0.05. The result of study showed a significant difference on the treatment group before and after the intervention of active range of motion exercises was done, whereas no significant difference was found in the control group. Moreover, the result of t-test in the treatment group showed that P = 0.003 < α = 0.05 so that H0 was rejected. In contrast, the result of t-test in the control group showed that P = 0.530 > α = 0.05 so that H0 was accepted. It illustrated that active range of motion exercises was effective for the emotional changes in the control group. In conclusion, active range of motion exercises was effective for the emotional changes happening in post-stroke patients in facing their disabilities. Abstract

Pain is a complaint which often happens to patients diagnosed with Cancer. Patients with breast cancer will feel pain when cancerous cells enlarge, wounds occur, and if metastasis happens. One of the simple ways to decrease the pain is to use hand massage relaxation technique. Therefore, this research was purposed to find out the effect of hand massage toward pain felt by patients with breast cancer. The research applied pre-experiment one group pre-post design. The population involved the patients with breast cancer experiencing pain. 11 respondents were chosen as the samples by using the probability sampling in which simple random sampling technique was applied in this research. The data were analyzed by using paired t-test. The result of research showed that before applying hand massage, the pain level was 5.09 on average, whereas the average pain level after applying hand massage was 3.09. It showed the difference on the pain level before and after applying hand massage. Furthermore, the result of research by using paired t-test showed that p value = 0.000 and α < 0.05. The research concluded that hand massage relaxation technique brought an effect toward the pain experienced by the patients with breast cancer. Hence, the nurses in hospital should be able to do this relaxation technique to make their patients relaxed so that they can be independent in fulfilling their daily needs.
